New images show Israeli army's sadism

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Breaking the Silence organization, operating inside Israel, revealed a new Israeli army scandal after soldiers released more pictures showing their shameful, brutal, and sadistic behavior against Palestinians.

Three weeks back a video clip of an Israeli soldier dancing around a bound Palestinian woman dating back to December, 2007, attracted widespread condemnation.

Two months ago another soldier posted controversial and racial comments over pictures of herself sitting next to and laughing at bound Palestinian detainees.

The newly discovered images appear to have been taken during the last Israeli war on Gaza, said Yehuda Shaul, one of Breaking the Silence’s founding members.

The photos show soldiers in Palestinian homes occupied by the Israeli army.

“In one of the pictures two soldiers hold a detained man while he is blindfolded and handcuffed, while one of them grabs his neck and the barrel of his gun is a few centimeters from his face.”

Another picture shows a soldier standing in the kitchen as a veiled woman cooks in disregard of him. Other soldiers are shown relaxing in a house, while one of them sits on a toy car. In another image, a soldier is shown drawing the star of David on the wall and writing above it in Hebrew: “returning soon”.

Yehuda Shaul said: “It is the norm of the Israeli army and a direct result of the reality of existing in a place they control the lives of civilians on a daily basis.”

“Having fun in the presence of detainees constitutes a phenomenon that we have dozens of pictures around. It is the reality and nature of the occupation,” he added.
