The ‘Israel-lover’ French Jewish Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner during his meeting with Lebanese President Suleiman (a Christian), PM Hariri (a Sunni) and Lebanese Islamic Resistance (a shia majority) leaders – had appealed for calm in Lebanon in the aftermath of the upcoming verdict by the Netherlands-based UN tribunal (UNIFIL) on the criminals behind the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese PM Rafik Hariri (father of the current PM Sa’ad Hariri). Washington, Tel Aviv, London, Bonn and Paris expect that the verdict will blame Hizbullah for the assassination of Rafik Hariri.

Hizbullah, in a statement that it told Kouchner that “dangerous violations”, involving the US, Israel and France, have undermined the court’s professionalism and credibibility from the start. Kouchner on his part said: “Hizbullah believes it would be targeted more than others by the tribunal”.
The pro-Israel western governments and their Arab puppet-regimes are hoping that a verdict against Hizbullah will provide the a golden opportunity to fuel a new civil war in Lebanon – pitting both Christians and Sunnis against Shia Hizbullah. This will allow the pro-Israel thugs to renew their call for disarming of Hizbullah or outright invasion of Lebanon by Israel to save the “Christian minority” which is despised by the Jews in Israel itself.
The unanimous UN Security Council Resolution 1701 on August 11, 2006 which ended the 34-day attack on Lebanon by 30,000-strong Jewish army on August 14, 2006 – was ordered by Washington to save the Zionist regime from further military humiliation and put a stop to the rising prestige of Hizbullah and its supporters Islamic Republic and Syria in the Arab world.
It was the second time Israeli forces were humilated by Hizbullah’s fighter since 2000 when Israel Occupation Force (IOF) was forced to withdraw from South Lebanon as result of Hizbullah’s 18-year military resistance.
Maj. Gen. Alain Pellegrini, French Commander of UNIFIL in a 2006 interview revealed that American secret service agents have infiltrated in UNIFIL, who pass on information to Israel. “Every time I send my semi-annual report to the UNIFIL, attached by details for the leadership of United Nations forces alone, and despite the fact that the report is encrypted, I immediately receive after each report to New York, a letter from the Israeli Army, containing suggestions for writing the report, hoping to amend it,” said the General.
On Sunday, Hizbullah MP Nawwar Sahili said that Hizbullah is not afraid of UNIFIL verdict which is being manipulated by the US and Israel. He said that the only one who benefited from the assassination of Rafik Hariri were Americans who one month after the assassination were back in Lebanon with a team in Lebanon that boasted its good relations with Lebanese people.
