GAZA, (PIC)-- Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that two Palestinian civilian brothers were killed during an aerial attack on their car in central Gaza city on Wednesday evening, the second day of Eid Al-Adha vacation.

The sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that the body of Mohamed Yassin was charred when arrived at the hospital and his brother Islam was in a very critical condition and died there. Both brothers are from Jabaliya refugee camp.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli drones fired one missile at least at the brothers' car as it was passing near Al-Shabiya juncture in central Gaza.

A spokesman for the Israeli admitted that the Israeli air force carried out a raid on a car in Gaza city.

Israeli Airstrike Kills “Senior Army of Islam Senior Member” in Gaza

18/11/2010 An Israeli airstrike killed two Palestinian brothers in Gaza City on Wednesday, including an alleged senior fighter planning to kidnap Israelis in the Sinai, the Israeli army and medical sources said.

"In a joint operation between the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) and the Shin Bet, an attack was carried out against a senior member of the Army of Islam during which Islam Yassin was killed in northern Gaza," the army said.

The attack, which came on the second day of the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday, killed Islam Yassin, 39, and his brother Mohammed, 20, Palestinian medical sources said.

The Israeli military accused Islam Yassin of being "personally involved in planning an attack involving the kidnapping of Israelis in Sinai," across the border in Egypt.

In Gaza, emergency services spokesman Adham Abu Selmiya confirmed that the Yassin brothers were killed "in an Israeli strike on a car in the Samer area of Gaza City."

The men were critically wounded in the strike, which completely obliterated the back of their car, and were rushed to Gaza City's Shifa hospital where they both died shortly afterwards.
