Key opposition party in Jordan calls for re-opening Hamas office

AMMAN, (PIC)-- The Jordanian Islamic Action Front party has called on the Amman government to invite Hamas leader Khaled Mishaal to visit the Kingdom and to re-open the movement's office in the capital.

Murad Al-Adayla, in charge of Palestine issue in the party, the biggest opposition party in Jordan, said in a statement on Wednesday that the government should re-consider its relations with all Palestinian forces and stand at equal distance from each of them.

Adayla, who was commenting on the Palestinian reconciliation agreement, asked the Jordanian government to support the agreement and ensure its success, which would serve both the Jordanian national security and the Palestine cause.

He opined that the Palestinian reconciliation was a natural result to the revolutions that were sweeping the Arab region and toppling regimes that served the Israeli interests rather than their own.
