Some Thoughts on the Wall Street Protest
Is it kosher to talk about Israel at the Wall Street protest? Or is Israel once again, as it always seems to be, off-limits for discussion? So far I've not seen any of the Wall Street protesters mention Israel or the power of its lobby in Washington. Has the matter been raised at any of the General Assemblies that have been held on an ongoing continuing basis? If so, it doesn't seem to have made the news, not even in the alternative media. Below is a report from Press TV. You'll see protesters talking about corporate greed, police repression—worthy topics for discussion, to be sure—but no mention of Israel or AIPAC. Now if Press TV (which of course is sponsored by the Iranian government) can't find anybody willing to talk about Israel, that's probably a pretty good indication that not very many people at the protest are talking about it.
