Update on NDAA: It's Now Law

Barack Obama, recently touted as America's First Jewish President, has signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act. The signing took place yesterday, December 31, 2011, just as Americans were distracted by their New Years Eve plans and celebrations. The law contains provisions allowing the US military to detain American citizens indefinitely without trial. Despite an absurd signing statement in which Obama pledged that "my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens" the fact of the matter is, the government now has the power to put you behind bars without trial.
