Uprooted Palestinians are at the heart of the conflict in the M.E Palestinians uprooted by force of arms. Yet faced immense difficulties have survived, kept alive their history and culture, passed keys of family homes in occupied Palestine from one generation to the next.
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Iran has supported anti-Israel movements in the region, including Syria and the Gaza strip, and voiced Tehran’s determination to do the same on a broader scale in future in a bid to strengthen the axis of resistance.
Speaking in a meeting with heads of the Palestinian groups residing in Damascus, the top Iranian Parliamentarian said Iran helps Syria and Palestine in their anti-terrorism and anti-Zionism campaign and does not hide it.
Secretary General of the People’s Front for the Liberation of Palestine Ahmad Jibril, for his part, appreciated Iran’s support for the Palestinian people.
He underlined that if the Syrian government and President Bashar al-Assad have been toppled, the issue of Palestine would have been demolished too.
Larijani arrived in Syria on Sunday to confer on the latest developments in the region, and discuss ways for promotion of cooperation with Damascus.
Late in November, Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the UN’s Vienna Offices Reza Najafi blasted the world body for inaction against Israel’s aggressions against the Palestinians in last 65 years.
“It is more than 65 years that the Palestine conflict has been lingering not only as an Islamic-Arabic issue, but turning throughout that long period into a complicated political and legal international dispute,” Najafi said on the anniversary of the International Solidarity Day with the Palestinian Nation at the time.
He said that throughout all those long years the Palestinian people’s share had been nothing, but oppression, homelessness, getting killed, occupation of their homes, and due to the colonialist policies pursued by the Zionist regime, losing more and more of their rights in their motherlands that has got smaller and smaller every day.
“Only a few months have passed since the creation of another horrendous human catastrophe in Gaza by the blood thirsty war machine of the Zionist regime in which the defenseless Gaza residents, especially women, children and elderly Palestinians were massacred by that regime,” he reiterated.
Najafi once again repeated Iran’s proposal for resolving the Palestinian crisis, based on democratic ways aimed at harbingering a just and sustainable peace, ending the occupation in the entire Palestinian lands, and the homelessness of all Palestinian refugees.
He said that every citizen of Palestine, regardless of their religions, races, and ethnicities, should have the right to vote for their solid, independent Palestinian motherland whose capital city will be the Holy Quds (Jerusalem).
The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
The UN General Assembly on December 2, 1997 issued a resolution naming November 29 as the International Solidarity Day with the Palestinian Nation.
The day is commemorated every year in UN New York Headquarters and the other UN offices around the globe, including Vienna.
Iran Underscores Israel’s Tangible Role in Creation of Crises in Syria, Iraq
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that the main beneficiary of disunity among Muslims is Tel Aviv which has always fueled crises in the region, including in Syria and Iraq.
Speaking in a meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader al-Halqi on Sunday afternoon, Larijani said the enemy, mainly the Zionist regime of Israel, intends to ruin roots of resistance in the region, and voiced Iran’s full support for the anti-Israel resistance axis.
Larijani added that Iran considers Syria’s problem as a vital issue for the entire region and believes that settlement of Damascus’ crisis is now more necessary.
He warned that those states who back up the terrorist groups will face major terrorism problems in future due to their very same mistake of supporting terrorists.
The Syrian premier, for his part, appreciated Iran’s supports for Syria in the country’s fight against terrorism.
He further underscored the old and strong ties between Iran and Syria, and said, “The Tehran-Damascus strong relations and guidelines of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei have paved the way for the further closeness of the Iranian and Syrian leaders’ thoughts.”
Larijani arrived in Syria on Sunday to confer on the latest developments in the region, and discuss ways for promotion of cooperation with Damascus.
Larijani had three separate meetings with President Bashar al-Assad, his counterpart Mohammad Jihad al-Laham, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem.
Syrian crisis started nearly four years ago when thousands of foreign terrorists flocked to the country and western powers and their regional allies started arming militants and insurgents.

He further highlighted importance of the recent trilateral meeting between Iran, Iraq and Syria in Tehran, and said holding such meetings has many positive impacts on the region’s peace and security.

Last week, Iranian Supreme Leader’s senior adviser Ali Akbar Velayati deplored foreign meddling in Syria’s internal affairs as the root cause of instability and insecurity in the Muslim country.
“Foreign interference is the most influential underlying reason for failure in achieving stability and sustainable peace in Syria,” Velayati said in a meeting with German lawmaker and foreign policy spokesman of Germany’s Social-Democrat Party (SPD) Niles Annen in Tehran.
He said today the Syrian government has been forced to confront terrorists and their foreign supporters from different countries.
“The first step for peace in Syria is the exit of foreign troops from that country and then other steps can be taken to achieve appropriate solutions based on people’s demands to establish peace and stability in that country,” Velayati said.
The Iranian Supreme Leader’s senior advisor noted that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group and the situation in Syria are the most important concerns of not just the region, but the entire world.
