The HRC includes a rogue’s gallery of states supporting naked aggression among its 47 members, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and NATO nations Britain, Germany, France,
Belgium, Latvia, Albania, and Slovenia – backing US-led aggression on Syrian sovereign independence.
On Friday, it passed a resolution on Aleppo, introduced by Britain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE (notorious human rights abusing states), calling for a war crimes investigation, irresponsibly blaming Russia and Syria for most civilian casualties.
It requested the pro-Western International Commission of Inquiry (ICI) to “conduct a comprehensive independent special inquiry into the events in Aleppo” – to hold parties responsible for crimes of war and against humanity accountable.
According to Alexei Borodavkin, Russia’s Geneva-based UN envoy, the resolution “was not an objective and unbiased discussion of the situation in Syria, in Aleppo in particular, but yet another attempt at an information propaganda warfare on Damascus and Moscow.”
A disgraceful statement largely blamed Russia and Syria for high crimes committed by America, its rogue partners and terrorist foot soldiers.
It called for “an immediate, prolonged and all-encompassing ceasefire” in Aleppo – a thinly veiled scheme to let terrorists regain the advantage, prevent the city’s liberation, and continue endless war for regime change.
Separately, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova blasted Washington for failing to work cooperatively with Russia on delivering humanitarian aid to Aleppo and helping to enforce ceasefire conditions.
“I would like to emphasize that the difficult situation there (is) the result of the US failure to comply with its obligations within the framework of the September 9 Russian-US agreements” reached in Geneva, she said.
Humanitarian crisis conditions in Syria, especially Aleppo, are exacerbated by illegally imposed US/EU sanctions, she added.
Reporting from Aleppo, Russian RIA Novosti correspondent Mikhail Alaeddin expressed frustration over militants in eastern Aleppo blocking residents from leaving.
He quoted a Russian colleague, saying “(s)o much for the ‘humanitarian pause’ and the terrorists’ response to it. Now I think no one will leave” eastern Aleppo.
It’s Washington’s strategy, wanting the Syria pot kept boiling endlessly, heading for greater conflict than already when Hillary succeeds Obama.
The end game remains the same – regime change and destruction of Syrian sovereign independence.
