Abbas will soon pay compulsory contributions to conduct "Holocaust Education"

By exilem

Abbas' PA will soon pay compulsory contributions to UNESCO, thereby Palestinians will unknowingly participate in the financing of Judeo-centric propaganda tools imposed on poor kids in starving Somalia and elsewhere.

Indeed, UNESCO has programs to conduct "Holocaust Education" in poor countries ...

Quotes:
Faced with the challenge of not just promoting but establishing respect for human rights, basic freedoms and the values of tolerance and mutual respect, UNESCO recognizes that teaching the lessons of the Holocaust is fundamental to this enterprise [sic].

The United Nations has urged Member States to develop educational programmes to instill the memory of the tragedy of the Holocaust in future generations to prevent genocide from occurring again. UNESCO acts as a resource to promote these learning materials and to provide a platform for institutions, teachers, students and interested parties to access resources on education for Holocaust remembrance. Lebanon: Arrest Warrants against 3 Syrians over Arms Smuggling

Local Editor

Lebanese Military examining magistrate Judge Fadi Sawan issued arrest warrants against three Syrians on charges of arms trade, the National News Agency reported Thursday.
NNA said Sawan questioned two Syrians and issued the warrants against them.
He also issued an arrest warrant in absentia against another Syrian.
NNA said the three men work in Saudi Arabia and collect financial aid from their compatriots working in the Gulf country.
They are using the money to buy weapons from the owner of a farm in the eastern Lebanese town of Arsal to send them to Syria, the news agency added.
The weapons include Rocket Propelled Grenades and machineguns.
On Monday, security authorities at Beirut International Airport arrested a Syrian national accused of smuggling weapons. His other accomplice was arrested last week.
They both admitted to the charges of arms trade.

Former International Prosecutor: Israeli Involvement in Hariri Killing Probable

Published Thursday, November 3, 2011

A prosecutor who served in the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia has submitted a legal notice to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon about the possible involvement of Israel in the assassination of Rafic Hariri.

A former prosecutor in an international criminal tribunal, Marwan Dalal, has presented Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) pre-trial judge Daniel Fransen a legal document that contains information possibly implicating Israel in the Rafic Hariri assassination.

Dalal specifically points the finger at Meir Dagan, former head of Israel’s intelligence services (Mossad), accusing him of engineering Hariri’s murder on 14 February 2005. The former prosecutor classified his document as an amicus curiae (“friend of the court”), detailing what he believes is strong circumstantial evidence that the Israeli government was involved in the crime.

STL spokesman Martin Youssef, in turn, confirmed to al-Akhbar that Fransen received the document. Youssef added that Fransen “will look into it,” but set no time frame for his response.

Dalal is a Palestinian from Haifa, but he identifies himself in the document as a “lawyer and citizen in the State of Israel,” pointing out that his legal expertise is in criminal, administrative, and constitutional law, in addition to international and humanitarian law. He also says that he practiced law in Israel from 1997 to 2007, and was involved in cases in the supreme court.

Notably, Dalal worked in the general prosecutor’s office in the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia from 2002 to 2010. He says that his legal experience, which includes working in an international court, qualifies him to submit the legal document.

He writes, “The proposed amicus brief would assist the Special Tribunal for Lebanon to properly determine the case before it.” In it, he lays out his reasons for submitting the document. For one, he believes the investigation did not seriously consider the possibility of Israeli involvement in the planning and perpetration of the attack that led to the assassination. This omission has taken place notwithstanding an established Israeli interventionist policy in Lebanese affairs, particularly when Ariel Sharon — the Israeli Prime Minister during the Hariri assassination — had been in office.
According to the brief, public Israeli sources suggest potential Israeli involvement in the Hariri assassination. These indicators, together with the history of several Israeli officials and Israel’s strategic interests — as they are perceived by some Israeli officials — require the STL investigate Israeli citizens, as well as past and current Israeli officials, to advance the Tribunal’s investigation.
Given these circumstances, Dalal argues, the best way to provide this information is through a written amicus brief. Rule 131 of the STL’s Rules of Procedure and Evidence provides that leave can be granted to submit a written amicus brief “on any issue.” Rule 92 empowers the pre-trial judge to collect evidence in exceptional circumstances in the ‘interest of justice.’

Dalal divides his brief into four sections. The first is a general overview of the circumstance of the case. He then presents instances of Israel’s involvement in the investigation. The third section lays out his reasons for accusing Israel of the Hariri assassination. He concludes his brief by asking Fransen “to seek the cooperation of the relevant citizens and officials in Israel in order to advance the implementation of the Tribunal’s mandate.”

In the third and perhaps most important section titled “Probable Israeli involvement in the Hariri assassination,” Dalal argues the Mossad’s involvement in the crime. “The ability of Meir Dagan, head of the Israeli Mossad during the Hariri assassination, to conduct assassination operations in foreign countries, particularly in Lebanon, through car bombs with unknown Islamist organizations declaring responsibility for it, is proven.”

To support his argument, Dalal refers to a series of car bomb assassinations dating back to 1981, when Dagan was commander of the “South Lebanon area.” Dalal notes that “Somehow, when Dagan is in the neighborhood, mysterious organizations appear, and exploding objects in their name kill Arabs disliked by Israel.”

Israel sabre rattles against Iran to divert attention from home

The old settler, may be right, Israel sabre rattles against Iran to divert attention from the "home"  he occupied in 1948,
Uri - Battle of Negba - 1948
"Israel will not attack Iran. Period." he claimed

"Since the 1956 Suez adventure, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered an ultimatum that stopped the action, Israel has never undertaken any significant military operation without obtaining American consent in advance." he added.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower did that mainly to inherit the British and French Empires, and fill the Vacum. A fact ignored even by some Palestinian activist, like Mazin Qumsiyeh, dreaming that some USA president may do the same.

Because "The US is Israel’s only dependable supporter in the world......To destroy this relationship means cutting our lifeline. To do that, you have to be more than just a little crazy. You have to be raving mad." Uri claimed.

Yes, Iran is strong as Uri explained, "The price may be too high", I would add the USA is too weak after the adventures in Iraq, and Aghanistan, and the un-certainity in Libya, the USA is trying to re-arrange itself in the region to prevent Iran from filling the vacum.

Tanking into consideration, the ecconomical crisses, the Occupy wall street movement, the fact that Israel since two decades is considering that a time may come and face cutting its lifeline, read Perez's new middle east.

How, could we exclude the suicide option. Why would the so-called “The respected former long-serving chief of the intelligence agency Mossad, Meir Dagan" would publicly describe attacking Iran, as ‘the most stupid idea’ he has ever heard.”

In the final analysis Simpson was a JEW.

Israel sabre rattles against Iran to divert attention from home

By Uri Avnery
4 November 2011

Uri Avnery argues that Israeli leaders are using the spectre of an imminent attack on Iran – which he believes will not happen – in order to safeguard the country’s bloated military budget and divert attention from the social protest movement at home.

Everybody knows the scene from school: a small boy quarrels with a bigger boy. “Hold me back,” he shouts to his comrades, “before I break his bones!”

Our government seems to be behaving in this way. Every day, via all channels, it shouts that it is going, any minute now, to break the bones of Iran.

Iran is about to produce a nuclear bomb. We cannot allow this. So we shall bomb them to smithereens.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu says so in every one of his countless speeches, including his opening speech at the winter session of the Knesset. Likewise with defence Minister Ehud Barak. Every self-respecting commentator (has anyone ever seen a non-self-respecting one?) writes about it. The media amplify the sound and the fury.

The daily Haaretz splashed its front page with pictures of the seven most important ministers (the “security septet”) showing three in favour of the attack, four against.

A German proverb says: “Revolutions that are announced in advance do not take place.” The same goes for wars.

Nuclear affairs are subject to very strict military censorship. Very, very strict indeed.

Yet the censor seems to be smiling benignly. Let the boys, including the prime minister and the minister of defence (the censor's ultimate boss), play their games.

Sabre rattling

“The respected former long-serving chief of the intelligence agency Mossad, Meir Dagan, has publicly warned against the attack [on Iran], describing it as ‘the most stupid idea’ he has ever heard.”
The respected former long-serving chief of the intelligence agency Mossad, Meir Dagan, has publicly warned against the attack, describing it as “the most stupid idea” he has ever heard. He explained that he considers it his duty to warn against it, in view of the plans of Netanyahu and Barak.
On 2 November, there was a veritable deluge of leaks. Israel tested a missile that can deliver a nuclear bomb more then 5,000 km away, beyond you-know-where. And our air force has just completed exercises in Sardinia, at a distance larger than you-know-where. And on 3 November, the Home Front Command held training exercises all over Greater Tel Aviv, with sirens screaming away.
All this seems to indicate that the whole hullabaloo is a ploy. Perhaps to frighten and deter the Iranians. Perhaps to push the Americans into more extreme actions. Perhaps coordinated with the Americans in advance. (British sources, too, leaked that the Royal Navy is training to support an American attack on Iran.)

It is an old Israeli tactic to act as if we are going crazy (“The boss has gone mad” is a routine cry in our markets, to suggest that the fruit vendor is selling at a loss.) We shall not listen to the US any more. We shall just bomb and bomb and bomb.

Well, let’s be serious for a moment.

”Israel will not attack Iran”

Israel will not attack Iran. Period.

Some may think that I am going out on a limb. Shouldn’t I add at least “probably” or “almost certainly”?

No, I won’t. I shall repeat categorically: Israel Will NOT Attack Iran.

Since the 1956 Suez adventure, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered an ultimatum that stopped the action, Israel has never undertaken any significant military operation without obtaining American consent in advance.

The US is Israel’s only dependable supporter in the world (besides, perhaps, Fiji, Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau). To destroy this relationship means cutting our lifeline. To do that, you have to be more than just a little crazy. You have to be raving mad.

Furthermore, Israel cannot fight a war without unlimited American support, because our planes and our bombs come from the US. During a war we need supplies, spare parts, many sorts of equipment. During the October 1973 war, Henry Kissinger had an “air train” supplying us around the clock. And that war would probably look like a picnic compared to a war with Iran.

Let’s look at the map. That, by the way, is always recommended before starting any war.
“When the first Israeli plane enters Iranian airspace, the [Hormuz] Strait will be closed… Almost the entire output of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states, Iraq and Iran has to run the gauntlet through this narrow sea lane.”
The first feature that strikes the eye is the narrow Strait of Hormuz, through which every third barrel of the world’s seaborne oil supplies flow. Almost the entire output of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states, Iraq and Iran has to run the gauntlet through this narrow sea lane.
“Narrow” is an understatement. The entire width of this waterway is some 35 km (or 20 miles). That’s about the distance from Gaza to Beersheva, which was crossed last week by the primitive rockets of the Islamic Jihad.

When the first Israeli plane enters Iranian airspace, the strait will be closed. The Iranian navy has plenty of missile boats, but they will not be needed. Land-based missiles are enough.

The world is already teetering on the verge of an abyss. Little Greece is threatening to fall and take major chunks of the world economy with it. The elimination of almost a fifth of the industrial nations’ supply of oil would lead to a catastrophe hard even to imagine.

To open the strait by force would require a major military operation (including “putting boots on the ground”) that would overshadow all the US misadventures in Iraq and Afghanistan. Can the US afford that? Can NATO? Israel itself is not in the same league.

But Israel would be very much involved in the action, if only on the receiving end.

In a rare show of unity, all of Israel’s service chiefs, including the heads of the Mossad and Shin Bet, are publicly opposing the whole idea. We can only guess why.

I don’t know whether the operation is possible at all. Iran is a very large country, about the size of Alaska, the nuclear installations are widely dispersed and largely underground. Even with the special deep penetration bombs provided by the US, the operation may stall the Iranian efforts – such as they are – only for a few months. The price may be too high for such meagre results.

Moreover, it is quite certain that with the beginning of a war, missiles will rain down on Israel – not only from Iran, but also from Hizbollah, and perhaps also from Hamas. We have no adequate defence for our towns. The amount of death and destruction would be prohibitive.

Suddenly, the media are full of stories about our three submarines, soon to grow to five, or even six, if the Germans are understanding and generous. It is openly said that these give us the capabilities of a nuclear “second strike”, if Iran uses its (still non-existent) nuclear warheads against us. But the Iranians may also use chemical and other weapons of mass destruction.

Then there is the political price. There are a lot of tensions in the Islamic world. Iran is far from popular in many parts of it. But an Israeli assault on a major Muslim country would instantly unite Sunnis and Shi’is, from Egypt and Turkey to Pakistan and beyond. Israel could become a villa in a burning jungle.

But the talk about the war serves many purposes, including domestic, political ones.

Diversionary tactic

On 31 October, the social protest movement sprang to life again. After a pause of two months, a mass of people assembled in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square. This was quite remarkable, because on that very day rockets were falling on the towns near the Gaza Strip. Until now, in such a situation demonstrations have always been cancelled. Security problems trump everything else. Not this time.
“…what better means for taking people’s minds off social justice than talk of the ‘existential danger’?”
Also, many people believed that the euphoria of the Gilad Shalit festival had wiped the protest from the public mind. It didn’t.

By the way, something remarkable has happened: the media, after siding with the protest movement for months, have had a change of heart. Suddenly all of them, including Haaretz, are sticking knives in its back. As if by order, all newspapers wrote the next day that “more than 20,000” took part. Wel,l I was there, and I do have some idea of these things. There were at least 100,000 people there, most of them young. I could hardly move.

The protest has not spent itself, as the media assert. Far from it. But what better means for taking people’s minds off social justice than talk of the “existential danger”?

Moreover, the reforms demanded by the protesters would need money. In view of the worldwide financial crisis, the government strenuously objects to increasing the state budget, for fear of damaging our credit rating.

So, where could the money come from? There are only three plausible sources: the settlements (who would dare?), the Orthodox (ditto!) and the huge military budget.

But on the eve of the most crucial war in our history, who would touch the armed forces? We need every shekel to buy more planes, more bombs, more submarines. Schools and hospitals must, alas, wait…

First US Casualty in Iraq after Pullout Announcement

Local Editor

A US occupation troop was killed in Iraq, the first such incident since America announced its forces would withdraw by the end of this year.

"A US service member was killed Thursday while conducting operations in northern Iraq," the US military said in a brief statement, without providing further details.

Thursday's death brings to 4,478 the number of US soldiers who have been killed in Iraq since the 2003 invasion, according to an AFP tally based on data compiled by icasualties.org.

US President Barack Obama announced on October 21 that US forces would leave by the end of this year, after negotiations between Washington and Baghdad on a post-2011 US military training mission fell through.

Since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, bombings and other forms of violence escalated, claiming the lives of over one million people.

Earlier, Iraqi cleric, Sayyed Moqtada al-Sadr, warned that the US sought to maintain its occupation of Iraq through keeping trainers and private contractors in the country, arguing that the security situation was disturbed.

Last month, Sadr accused the Americans of creating chaos and sectarian strife in the Arab country in order to prolong their stay.

From Tribalism to Humanism

The Path to Freedom

A journey from the narrowness of egotism to the splendour of Universalism

In his new book “The wandering Who”, Gilad Atzmon reflects on his transforming journey from an IDF “Israeli”, a racist tribalist, self-ghettoized Zionist, with exclusionist mentality, who was greatly influenced as a child by his “veteran Zionist terrorist” grandfather, into simply a Universalist and Humanist.

A courageous and enthralling journey that began in the most unexpected places, in one of the suburbs of occupied Jerusalem, Al Quds, and by no other tool than a musical instrument, a saxophone!

A journey that he didn’t choose initially, rather, he stumbled upon. He came to discover that in the world out there, where gentile live, raw talents, daring intelligence and breathtaking beauty not only exist but also thrive. This realization took him by surprise; it contradicted his basic supposition of his own and his people’s superiority as Jews. This revelation pressed on him by necessity to take a good look in the mirror, the inner mirror of the self.

Gilad describes how he fell in love and became fascinated with Afro-American music; it was that love that opened the door of escape for him and enabled him to flee the narrowness of the Ghetto of tribalism to the wide world of humanism. As he discovered the brilliance and the captivating beauty of the music played not by Jews, but by gentiles, moreover, most of those musicians were actually black, Atzmon explains: “… it was kind of a revelation. In my world, it was only Jews who were associated with anything good”.

Thus was the beginning of the young Gilad’s voyage.

Gilad’s long journey started as he explains by asking himself serious questions about his own identity. With all the frankness, dignity and courage, Gilad admits to himself and later to his readers, that he did not like what he saw. He was hit with the fact that he as Jew, might not be the fairest-one-of-all after all, as he was brought up to believe. What he realized is in fact other human beings, who are not Jews but gentiles, might be just as good! This was the first revelation in Gilad’s journey of self discovery.

Gilad reflects on how they learned -as young Jews – to view Palestinian as workers and providers of cheap labour, those nameless, faceless people who roam around:

“We never socialised with them. We didn’t really understand who they were and what they stood for. Supremacy was brewed in our souls, we gazed at the world through racist chauvinistic binoculars. And we felt no shame about it either”

The breaking point of his attachment was his visit to Ansar prison camp in South Lebanon in 1994. His IDF orchestra team was invited to visit. Gilad describes how did this journey affected him and changed him forever: "As we continued past the barbed wire I continued gazing at the inmates and arrived at an unbearable truth: I was walking on the other side, in Israeli military uniform. The place was a concentration camp. The inmates were the “Jews” and I was nothing but a “Nazi”".

He then goes on to tell the tale of the last straw that broke the camel’s back: “while I contemplated the resonance of my uniform, trying to deal with the great sense of shame in me, we came to a large, flat ground at the centre of the camp. The officer guiding us offered more platitudes about the current war to defend our Jewish haven. While he was boring us to death with these irrelevant Hasbara (propaganda) lies, I noticed that we were surrounded by two dozen concrete blocks each around 1m² in are and 1.3m high, with small metal doors as entrances. I was horrified at the thought that my army was locking guard dogs into these boxes for the night. Putting my Israeli chutzpah into action, I confronted the officer about these horrible concrete dog cubes. He was quick to reply: “these are our solitary confinement blocks; after two days in one of these, you become a devoted Zionist!”. This was enough for me. I realized that my affair with the Israel state and with Zionism was over”

Gilad then goes on to say: “it took me another ten years before I could leave Israel for good. During that time, however, I began to learn about the Israel-Palestine conflict, and to accept that I was actually living on someone else’s land. I took in the devastating fact that in 1948 the Palestinians hadn’t abandoned their homes willingly –as we were told in school- but had been brutally ethnically cleansed by my grandfather and his ilk.”

Discovering these exterior realities around him helped him to understand the atrocious role his people -including his much admired grandfather- played in creating the catastrophe of the Palestinian people.

Then came the time when young Gilad thirsted for answers and needed to dive deeper in his own self; he began to reflect upon the question of identity, and what it means to him to be defined as a Jew.

Years of observation and reflection he came to notice that those who call themselves Jews could be divided into three main categories:
  1. Those who follow Judaism.
  2. Those who regard themselves as human beings that happen to be of Jewish origin.
  3. Those who put their Jewish-ness over and above all of other traits.

Atzmon is more puzzled and concerned with people in the third category, as the first two are pretty self evident.

Gilad view is that the people in the third category are the manifestation of what early Zionists have defined and envisaged. Chaim Weizmann, a prominent early Zionist said “There are no English, French, German or American Jews, but only Jews living in England, France, Germany or America” Gilad explains: “In just a few words, Weizmann managed to categorically define the essence of Jewish-ness. It is basically a “primary quality”. You maybe a Jew who dwells in England, a Jew who plays the violin, or even a Jew against Zionism, but above all else you are a Jew.”

This definition takes me personally a few years back, when I was intrigued by the fact that some of our Jewish supporters in the solidarity movement were atheists, yet they also defined themselves as Jews. No matter how much I turned this in my head, it just didn’t make sense; how can one be an atheist Jew?

So I asked one of my Jewish friends one day: “what do you mean when you say you are Jewish? Since you reject faith and disbelieve in Judaism as a religion, and since your culture is more Western-European than it is African-Jewish or Middle-Eastern-Jewish or any other Jewish culture, you are not Jewish by race, as there is no such a thing as Jewish race or Jewish genes, there is no unified Jewish history, and even your language is English not Hebrew? So what is it that makes you still define yourself as Jewish”?

My friend was taken aback by the question, he paused for some time, then he said something I would never forget, he said: “ I don’t know, I don’t know how to explain it, it’s just something you know, something you feel inside you”!

Perhaps if my friend and other Jews who define themselves as atheist Jews, if they would allow themselves the freedom to reflect upon and to explore such question and search deep inside them as Gilad did, maybe they would understand why are we -who ask these questions, are so perplexed by their definition.
From an outsider perspective, the word atheist Jew does not correspond to any logic, common sense or rationality, unless of course, one see him/herself as exclusively different as defined by Ultra Orthodox Chabad; i.e having a distinctive Neshama "Jewish soul", or special Jewish genes, which surely is not the case of our atheist friends!

Gilad was brave enough to put himself on trial and to ask the daring questions, who am I? why am I defined as a Jew? and what does it really mean to be a Jew?

By asking these questions, one would not expect to find answers in any books of course. The answer can only be found deep within. It requires an inner journey.

Gilad pondered and wondered, he asked the questions then he pursued the answer, “The Wondering Who” is a summary of his journey; of spiritual reflection and of intellectual discovery and endeavour .

His book is a profound testimony of the resilience, strength and beauty of human spirit and the boundless aptitude of human potential.

Despite the many years of indoctrination, Gilad dared to ask questions that many of us do not dare to ask. Instead of looking outside to find explanations and answers, he looked within, he tried to identify that which might be problematic and harmful. He came to admit before the world that his own grandfather, whom he admired and who had “tremendous influence” on him as a young person, is actually a terrorist and murderer. He came to discover and then to admit that his own people whom he thought were the best in the world and whom he was taught it's only them "who were associated with any thing good", were in fact people who committed crimes of theft, terrorism and ethnic cleansing against another people.

He came to discover and admit that many of the people who call themselves Jews, who live in many countries of the world, and who blindly support an entity that engages in acts of terrorism and war crimes are also implicated.

Telling the truth can be daunting sometimes, and indeed it can expose the truth teller to all sorts of harmful attacks, however, facing the truth is far more excruciating, agonizing and life shattering experience.

It requires the embarking on an overwhelming inner journey of self discovery. If we find the courage within ourselves to take up the challenge, the outcome would be spectacular... and life would become a magnificent abode of bliss and contentment.

Through his gripping experience Gilad revealed that the change we seek and desire in order to improve our conditions begins with making the change within us. Change is possible, attainable, straightforward and available to all. It begins by being open and honest with ourselves, to allow ourselves to explore our inner core, and in particular facing that which is ugly; arrogance, ego, selfishness. . . within each and every one of us.

Through his fascinating and extraordinary journey Gilad came face to face with the Qur’anic statement of truth:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ

“Verily never will God change the condition of a people until they change themselves (what is within their own souls)” (Qur’an; 43:11)

Gilad realized that one cannot be a tribalist and a humanist simultaneously, so he chose humanism and universal values. He severed his ties with racism and supremacy, he departed from loyalty to the tribe, he refused to be a sayan at the expence and suffering of others. He offered his loyalty to the whole of humanity. The high values of equality, justice and humanism became his passion.

By doing so, Gilad came to affirm and to live by, yet again, another Qur'anic statement of truth:

“Ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the desires (of your hearts) (4:135)

“God commands justice, the doing of good, and kindness to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and antagonism: He advices you, that ye may be reminded.” (16-90)

One can and must love and show kindness to his kin and clan, but one should NEVER put his sentiments above JUSTICE and HUMANISM.

For his honesty and integrity, for telling the truth even when it hurts, and for siding with justice even against his own clan, Gilad was vilified by Zionists and anti-Zionists alike. For them, he has committed the worst sin of all, he is a mosser.

Instead of looking at his journey with curiosity and open-mindedness, instead of listening to his universal message of equality, and instead of examining his work that points at the ills within, his adversaries look at it through the eyes of vindictiveness, hatefulness and bottomless animosity.

Gilad's adversaries exhibit more understanding, rationality, courtesy and civility even when dealing with Zionists, soft and hard core.
As we know, Zionists and soft Zionist are often invited and welcomed to some of the anti-Zionists activities and events -under the pretext of reaching out to the Jewish community. As we know also, some of those Zionists who attend such events might actually be IDF members who trained to commit murder. Unlike them Gilad has no weapons except his words and saxophone, yet he -not the hard core militant British Zionists, is the one who is ostracized, chased and chastised by some self claimed "friends of Palestine".

He is portrayed as the worst “enemy of the Jewish people” rather than the one who offers his honest voice to help and heal through his experience and sincerity.
He was followed around the globe, with pickets, leaflets, deluge emails and sinister phone calls trying to discredit him, trying to prevent people from listening to him and trying to smother his voice of liberation, that calls for the tearing down of the self erected ghetto walls of mind and soul.

From an Islamic perspective, Gilad’s journey is what Muslims call the “Greater Jihad”, the inner journey that one embarks upon to examine one's purpose in life, one’s identity, one’s thoughts, one’s intentions, and one’s inner most hidden harmful characteristics. Such perpetual reflection helps us to identify and face our dark side, contain our ego, curtail our greed, and work with awareness to replace or transform such ills into a more constructive, caring, compassionate and generous qualities.

It is my personal feeling that Gilad, a Humanist of Jewish ancestry, by imposing self exile and by uprooting himself from his place of birth, through his journey of self discovery, and through the hard questioning of his identity, his morality and his intentions, had earned his redemption as an X- IDF occupier.

From my modest perspective as an exiled Palestinian and activist, Gilad had washed away his sins of being a member of IDF in the past, he has cleansed his conscience by choosing who he wants to be not by who he found himself being.

I welcome Gilad as a brother in humanity, and as a Palestinian-born visionary.

I hope and pray that his chosen exile and my forced exile would both end one day by our return back home to our beloved and liberated Palestine, and with us all those millions of refugees, and those good Jewish Palestinians like Gilad who chose to extract themselves rather than being part of a criminal and illegitimate entity.

Welcome brother Gilad, welcome brother "Jihad" to the family of humanity, and welcome a dear son of Palestine.

Exclusive: Gordaffi at Gaddafi’s Capture and the "next mission"

Gordaffi's Note: With all the confusion at Gaddafi’s capture, there was one "journalist present". In this case, he was commanding a unit that had been tracking, had been hunting Gaddafi for weeks. Below is his story.

[Gordaffii's well known "independent journalist" "born in Libya, who has worked for years in support of human rights projects around the world." "was commanding a unit - hand-picked squad - that had been tracking, had been hunting Gaddafi for weeks."

Gordaffi is not talking about the French "Independant Philospher, Bernard-Henri Levy, born in Algeria, who has worked also in support of "human rights projects around the world" such as South Sudan, Darfour, Afghanistan, and Libya, wher he revived his image after his failed attempt to jump on the bandwagon of the Egyptian uprising]

"This first hand account of the capture of Colonel Gaddafi, will be not be redacted.
Our videographer was not there, having been assassinated by Gaddafi agents some weeks before, however there is enough video of this scene for everyone."

Here is one titled Nato was there - Proof.

Gordaffi, don't want you to see, inorder not "to make Gaddaf look like a victim of a NATO “holocaust”.

"Thus, when Gaddafi was captured alive and sent away in an ambulance, there was absolutely no NATO involvement of any kind. No NATO troops were ashore, no NATO planes above." Gordaffi lied.

Let us check this LIE:
"Colonel Roland Lavoie, spokesman for Nato's operational headquarters in Naples, said its aircraft today struck two vehicles of pro-Gaddafi forces "which were part of a larger group manoeuvring in the vicinity of Sirte".
The Ministry of Defence in London confirmed that Nato warplanes today attacked a convoy of vehicles fleeing Sirte."
Gaddafi was captured alive in Sirte by members of the Libyan National Liberation Army after his convoy was attacked by NATO warplanes as Sirte fell on 20 October 2011
Consequently, Nato hands are clean from the blood of Gaddafi, his "independant journalist" ... commanding a unit - hand-picked squad -" after "tracking, ...hunting Gaddafi for weeks."....."on Thursday morning, 20 October, intercepted communications from his son Mu’tasim ordering his men to assemble in District No. 2 by 4 a.m."

The hand-picked squad "were appox half a km behind him but in the desert, south of the road they were using." Out of sudden, "a French Raphael jet appeared and hit his convoy several times.

The hand-picked squad just "managed .....to corner Gaddafi, ....grabbed him and  his son, pulled them out of the sewer. Injured Gaddafi " was escorted into an ambulance, "barely able to walk which headed west to Misrata."

Fact check
"The following clip shows Gadhafi's bloodied body being dragged through the streets of Sirte. Please be warned this graphic clip is not suited for the faint of heart and could ruin your morning." - the Chip was removed by the user.

At that point, after the "ambulance headed west to Misrata", the "independant journalist" followed one of his "golden rules of survival (when your mission is accomplished, never hang about or dwell on things but just simply leave) I bid farewell to some of the fighters and headed for Benghazi. By the time I arrived there I heard that Gaddafi was dead. I have no idea what happened to him exactly and, to be honest, I really don’t care."

"One final word. Some will be wondering whether we got a reward or in any way been paid for our troubles. The answer is an emphatic no. We did this out of a sense of duty to our country. For me personally, I lost approximately 12, 500 GBP in lost earnings while I was away fighting (July-October)."

Reading between the lines, here is the conclusion:
The so called "independent journalist""born in Libya, who has worked for years in support of human rights projects around the world." is a British sent to Libya to command a hand-picked squad.
His mission was "tracking", "hunting," once the "mission is accomplished," he followed the"golden rules of survival" He left the crime scene.

Moreover, Nato hands are clean, you have to blame France only, and France left Nato,

"Oh, for those who forget such things, General Charles De Gaulle, in March 1959, withdrew from NATO and demanded the removal of all NATO personnel from France. France has not been in NATO for 42 1/2 years, a fact conveniently overlooked by so many conspiracy theorists." Gordaffi lied.
Fact check:

"Despite France’s withdrawal from NATO’s integrated military structure, two technical agreements were signed with the Alliance, setting out procedures in the event of soviet aggression. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, France has regularly contributed troops to NATO’s military operations, making it one of the largest troop-contributing states. It is also NATO’s fourth biggest contributor to the military budget."
Gordaffi omited the name of his source.

"We asked him to let us share this with you as a salute to all those out there around the planet who have worked to make VT what it is…real sources for real news…for readers that want it, the good, the bad and the ugly....." We found the flow of disinformation out of the Gaddafi camp and his both official and unofficial “mouthpieces” to be sickening and cowardly."

"We have no regrets, as do none of our people, especially our behind the lines combat correspondent."

"For you Vets out there, along with our staff, who have ever done that kind of work, you know how quick things can get nasty and fatal with just one bad move or some bad luck. You can get killed by either side at the drop of the hat.
This is his statement I receive today in response to specific questions our readers had about the capture of Gaddafi"
Gordon,
The next mission under making:

"Syria, an area where hypocrisy has taken so many turns that no side knows another anymore" Gordon said. His spys, told him:

"Franklin Lamb was there - in Syria - a couple of days ago"

No Gordon, you spies chaeated you, Franklin was there two weeks ago, he send his last article from Libya.

"Syria and Israel have secret “protocols” of cooperation. Iran and Israel share the same, exposed by VT last week, plans to enrich each other with oil speculation through a ruse of war so dangerous it threatens the entire world". Girdon spies told him.

=====

"We are told 3,000 have died in Syria. We are also told we can’t intervene, more like 30,000 may actually have died. Why? Well, Gaddafi in Libya was loaded with money which he shared with the banks. It bought him months.

Syria? Russia defends their air with sophisticated weapons and stops any UN vote to protect Russia’s only port on the Mediterranean. As for the Syrian people? They have been slaves for generations, slaves of the Ottomans, slaves of the French and now slaves of Assad.

Syria is interesting, at least to VT. We have the ability to “follow the cash” as we are an organization of burned out former NWO thugs.

"Turkey wants to attack Syria over problems with war crimes and refugees, we are told."

His spies lied again. The problem is who would fill the Vacum. "Iran and Hizbollah, both on American terror lists are helping Syria. Russia is flying in “technicians.”

Syria is a daily bloodbath, real people fighting for freedom for sure, but everyone else in the world interfering as well. That still, as with Libya, doesn’t change things. The Assad government, though one of the few not enslaved to Washington and Tel Aviv, can no longer honestly rule."

Iran is an odd nation. I broadcast their daily, am read in their papers, I even defend them, quite often actually. I know them to not be the threat, not be the people Americans are told. They and the people of Afghanistan and Iraq and Pakistan are among my friends. Our next generation may learn that, share that friendship, if we don’t kill everyone first. I give the chances at 50/50.

Syria, an area where hypocrisy has taken so many turns that no side knows another anymore. Franklin Lamb was there a couple of days ago, we have been discussing it, as I have with many others. I am amazed.

Turkey wants to attack Syria over problems with war crimes and refugees, we are told. Iran and Hizbollah, both on American terror lists are helping Syria. Russia is flying in “technicians.”
Syria is a daily bloodbath, real people fighting for freedom for sure, but everyone else in the world interfering as well. That still, as with Libya, doesn’t change things. The Assad government, though one of the few not enslaved to Washington and Tel Aviv, can no longer honestly rule.

We are told how much Israel, the tiny nation that controls America, hates Syria. Then our spies, and we have so many, begin to unravel something else. Syria and Israel have secret “protocols” of cooperation. Iran and Israel share the same, exposed by VT last week, plans to enrich each other with oil speculation through a ruse of war so dangerous it threatens the entire world."

A Middle East 'scholar's' quantification ...

Via FLC

Randa Slim a 'scholar' at the Middle East Institute decides that "...While it is impossible to know which side commands a majority, a critical mass of Syrians has clearly opted for regime change...", when this past week has witnessed massive pro-regime demonstrations in the most unlikely parts of Syria.
'Raqqah, today'
Even the WSJ had this to say in a piece titled "Assad has the Upper hand":"massive crowds gathered in several cities, including Damascus, to pledge their loyalty to Mr. Assad. Syria's state television, broadcasting scenes of crowds chanting "The people want Bashar al-Assad," said some two million people gathered at the capital's Ummayad Square last Wednesday. It broadcast fresh scenes of a loyalist demonstration in the southern city of Suweida on Sunday."At one point, what we call the silent majority came to be aligned with the street protests at least from a humanitarian and moral point of view. But now they've stepped back again,"

Hijacking Revolutions

I invite people to watch this shocking video, you need to watch several times perhaps, before realizing what is really going on, it is a frightening and shocking example of mass-brainwashing..

It would interesting to find out who those "leaders" are, and what are their aims and demands

Watch people turn into infantile zombies before your very eyes!

These are the "progressives" that so many hope will bring "change"!

Biden prescription for winning wars without losing a single life. (Making new Bin Ladens)

WE CAME, WE SAW, HE DIED

"In this case, America spent $2 billion and didn't lose a single life. This is more the prescription for how to deal with the world as we go forward than it has in the past." Biden comparing the regime change unfolding in Libya with the Bush administration's approach to Iraq.

"Please, America , don’t make me an Osama bin Laden." Thus wrote Khalid Amayreh, a few weeks after the tragic 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, Ignoring that Bin Laden is a CIA creation.

Now read our sincere Islamist, but don't blame him, he learned to put his mind on the self and follow his Shaikh.
On late Feb the spiritual leader, Yousef Al-Quradawi, of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood issued a fatwa (religious decree) calling for Khaddafi's death, "Whoever in the Libyan Army is able to shoot a bullet at Mr. Gaddafi should do so," he told the Qatar-based news channel al-Jazeera.

"There are those who show a certain propensity to cast a thick shadow of doubt on the authenticity of the Libyan revolution. Some argue rightly that NATO is not a charitable organization and its intervention on the side of the pro-freedom rebels is never meant to serve the cause of liberty and democracy in the vast North African country.
Well, it is true that NATO is not a charitable organization, but it is also true that the Libyan people will never allow a foreign power to arrogate or hijack their hard-earned sovereignty, independence and free will.
Besides, we advise those who don't stop making all sorts of silly insinuations about the Libyan revolutionaries to wait and see and reserve their final judgment for sometime, instead of trying to create confusion and spreading false propaganda.

"Just give them a grace period"
A final note. There are some pro-Palestinian activists who are, either sincerely or maliciously, worried about a "less than complete commitment" by the new rulers of Libya to the Palestinian cause.

Tyrants and their murderous thugs may kill and spill untold blood of their own people. However, they too will face their ultimate hour of truth because those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.

I say to those; assuming their sincerity, don't worry. [Forget what happebed in Iraq]

In the final analysis, the Libyan revolution has an Arab-Islamic face, heart and mind. It will not betray or disappoint Muslims anywhere in the world. Just give them a grace period, and they won't disappoint you."

How the West won Libya

By Pepe Escobar

They are fighting over the carcass as vultures. The French Ministry of Defense said they got him with a Rafale fighter jet firing over his convoy. The Pentagon said they got him with a Predator firing a Hellfire missile. After a wounded Colonel Muammar Gaddafi sought refuge in a filthy drain underneath a highway - an eerie echo of Saddam Hussein's "hole" - he was found by Transitional National Council (TNC) "rebels". And then duly executed.

Abdel-Jalil Abdel-Aziz, a Libyan doctor who accompanied Gaddafi's body in an ambulance and examined it, said he died from two bullets, one to the chest, one to the head.

The TNC - which has peddled lies, lies and more lies for months - swears he died in "crossfire". It may have been a mob. It may have been Mohammad al-Bibi, a 20-year-old sporting a New York Yankees baseball cap who posed to the whole world brandishing Gaddafi's golden pistol; his ticket perhaps to collect the hefty $20 million dangled as the bounty for Gaddafi "dead or alive".

It gets curioser and curioser when one remembers that this is exactly what US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in her lightning visit to Tripoli, had announced less than 48 hours before; Gaddafi should be "captured or killed". The Fairy Queenie satisfied Clinton's wishes, who learned about it by watching the screen of a BlackBerry - and reacting with the semantic earthquake "Wow!"

To the winners, the spoils. They all did it; the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Pentagon and the TNC. From the minute a United Nations resolution imposing a no-fly zone over Libya became a green card to regime change, plan A was always to capture and kill him. Targeted assassination; that's Barack Obama administration official policy. There was no plan B"

Let me bomb you to protection
Fogh, a zionist, supported the islamophobic
intrigue of Jyllands  Posten, Denmark’s most
reactionary daily, that published the
Mohammed caricatures, designed as a
provocation against arabs and muslims.
"As for how R2P ("responsibility to protect" civilians), any doubters should cling to the explanation by NATO's secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen; "NATO and our partners have successfully implemented the historic mandate of the United Nations to protect the people of Libya." Anyone who wants to check NATO's protection of civilians just needs to jump on a pick-up truck and go to Sirte - the new Fallujah......"

Reactions have been quite instructive. TNC bureaucrat Abdel Ghoga went Colosseum in the Roman Empire, saying, "The revolutionaries have got the head of the tyrant."

"United States President Barack Obama said the death of Gaddafi means "we are seeing the strength of American leadership across the world". That's as "we got him" as one can possibly expect, also considering that Washington paid no less than 80% of the operating costs of those dimwits at NATO (over $1 billion - which Occupy Wall Street could well denounce would be more helpful creating jobs in the US). Strange, now, to say "we did it", because the White House always said this was not a war; it was a "kinetic" something. And they were not in charge. "

"It was up to that majestic foreign policy strategist, US Vice President Joe Biden, to be starkly more enlightening than Obama; "In this case, America spent $2 billion and didn't lose a single life. This is more the prescription for how to deal with the world as we go forward than it has in the past."
World, you have been warned; this is how the empire will deal with you from now on."

Feel my humanitarian love

So congratulations to the "international community".........Gaddafi would have been a most inconvenient guest of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, as he would have relished recalling all the hand-kissing, the warm embraces and the juicy deals the West was begging to clinch after he was promoted from "Mad Dog" (Ronald Reagan) to "our bastard". He would also relish detailing all the shady backgrounds of those opportunists now posing as "revolutionaries" and "democrats".

Saddam's fake trial
"Iraqi dictator Saddam at least got a fake trial in a kangaroo court before meeting the executioner. Osama bin Laden was simply snuffed out, assassination-style, after a territorial invasion of Pakistan. Gaddafi went one up, snuffed out with a mix of air war and assassination. "

"And what about those Washington think-tank donkeys mumbling that this was the Arab Spring's "Ceausescu moment"? If only the Romanian dictator had improved his country's standard of living - in terms of free healthcare, free education, incentives for the newlywed, etc - by a fraction of what Gaddafi did in Libya. Plus the fact that Nicolae Ceausescu was not deposed by NATO "humanitarian" bombing. v Only the brain dead may have swallowed the propaganda of NATO's "humanitarian" 40,000-plus bombing - which devastated Libya's infrastructure back to the Stone Age (Shock and Awe in slow motion, anyone?). This never had anything to do with R2P - the relentless bombing of civilians in Sirte proves it.

As the top four BRIC members knew it even before the voting of UN Resolution 1973, it was about NATO ruling the Mediterranean as a NATO lake, it was about Africom's war against China and setting up a key strategic base, it was about the French and the Brits getting juicy contracts to exploit Libya's natural resources to their benefit, it was about the West setting the narrative of the Arab Spring after they had been caught napping in Tunisia and Egypt.

Listen to the barbaric whimpers

Welcome to the new Libya. Intolerant Islamist militias will turn the lives of Libyan women into a living hell. Hundreds of thousands of Sub-Saharan Africans - those who could not escape - will be ruthlessly persecuted. Libya's natural wealth will be plundered. That collection of anti-aircraft missiles appropriated by Islamists will be a supremely convincing reason for the "war on terror" in northern Africa to become eternal. There will be blood .........As for remaining dictators everywhere, get a life insurance policy from NATO Inc; Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, Tunisia's Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali and Yemen's Ali Abdullah Saleh were clever enough to do it......More
