RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The Quds Brigades, the armed wig of Islamic Jihad Movement, on Thursday charged that the assassination of its commander in Jenin Ala Abul Rub at the hands of Israeli occupation forces was the fruit of security coordination between the PA in Ramallah and the Israeli occupation authority.

The armed wing said in a statement that Abul Rub was also being chased by the PA security apparatuses in the West Bank, and added that his assassination was the fruit of this "damned security coordination".

It held the PA security apparatuses responsible for Abul Rub's assassination, adding that tens of resistance fighters in the West Bank were being persecuted by the PA security in line with that security coordination, which is rejected by all Palestinian forces.

The Quds Brigades vowed strong reprisal to the murder of Abul Rub, pointing to the seriousness of concluding calm with the IOF not including the West Bank.

For its part, Hamas said that the assassination was due to the collusion of PA security apparatuses with the IOF in the West Bank to liquidate resistance and confiscate its weapons.

Hamas spokesman in Gaza Fawzi Barhoum told the PIC that the murder of Abul Rub fell in line with the Israeli election propaganda campaign.

He said that the assassination was also a result of the Arab weakness and absence of any Arab pressure cards on the IOA to halt its crimes.

Barhoum held the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the crime and its consequences.
