NEW YORK, (PIC)-- Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli Foreign Minister, said that the PA in Ramallah urged Israel not to stop its December/January blitzkrieg on the Gaza Strip until Hamas falls.
Lieberman told Journalists on Tuesday evening during a press conference after the trilateral meeting that the first step of confidence building should be taken by the Palestinian Authority (PA).
He made this first step very clear; he demands that the PA withdraw its application to the International Criminal Court in The Hague to investigate Israeli war crimes in during the Israeli blitz on Gaza.
He added that he informed the Palestinian negotiations team of this demand reminding them that it was the PA that pressed Israel to continue with operation "cast lead" until the end.
Lieberman also said that Abbas shock hands with him and said "Shalom Foreign Minister" and that he told Abbas: "you don't have to be formal, we are neighbours."
