LONDON, (PIC)-- A number of eminent jurists in Europe called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to document the crimes committed by Mahmoud Abbas’s militias against them in order to prosecute the perpetrators in international courts.

The jurists said in a statement published on Monday that the violations committed by these militias against West Bank people in coordination with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violate clearly the UN charter and the Geneva convention.

They added that these crimes are not dropped by the lapse of time and they come under the heading of crimes against humanity.

In a related context, the Palestinian center for development and media freedoms (Mada) deplored Abbas’s militias for kidnapping journalists in the West Bank, saying it is a blatant violation of freedom of expression.

The center called for stopping the wave of kidnappings carried out against journalists especially the former workers in Al-Aqsa satellite channel and its office director in the West Bank Mohamed Eshtewi.

In a separate incident, Abbas’s militias reportedly kidnapped seven Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in the districts of Bethlehem, Nablus, Al-Khalil, Salfit and Qalqiliya
