RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- A report revealed that Abu Maher Ghuneim, the head of Fatah commission for mobilization and organization, was recruited by the Mossad and leaked secret files related to Fatah.
The report which was written by Jamal Al-Muhaisen, a member of Fatah central committee, raised the ire of Fatah hardliners and the worries of senior Fatah officials in the central committee, and reminded them of old files talking about Ghuneim’s connection with the Mossad.

Muhaisen said in his report that during his visit to the commission in Tunis to receive important CDs and documents of the commission in his capacity as its new chairman he discovered that these CDs and documents were not there.

He added that Ghuneim, who was allowed recently to return to Palestine after many years in exile to participate in the sixth general conference of Fatah, handed the CDs and documents to the US-backed Fatah strongman Mohamed Dahlan, who in turn convinced the Israelis to allow him to return and handed them the CDs and documents as part of the deal.

The report also pointed out that Ghuneim in the past met more than once with Mossad officers who blackmailed him through videotapes containing his sexual scandals when he was a teenager.

In another context, speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC) Dr. Aziz Dweik denounced Azzam Al-Ahmed, the head of Fatah parliamentary bloc, for using impolite remarks to criticize the letter he sent to Mahmoud Abbas to urge him to enable the PLC to hold an emergency session to discuss the Israeli attack on mosques.

In a statement, Dr. Dweik said that Al-Ahmed’s remarks completely contradicts the document he signed in which he and other heads of parliamentary blocs pledged allegiance to the PLC and demanded its speaker to resume his parliamentary duties.

Al-Ahmed on Monday launched a scathing attack against Dr.Dweik and uttered offensive words in response to the request submitted by the latter to Abbas demanding him to allow the PLC to hold a session to discuss the latest developments in the West Bank as well as national reconciliation.
