Abu Zuhri: Any form of negotiations with IOA harmful

GAZA, (PIC)-- Hamas highlighted that any form of negotiations whether direct or indirect with the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) was harmful to the Palestine cause.

Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, told the PIC on Saturday that negotiations provide a complete cover for the IOA to evade responsibility for its crimes against the Palestinian people and their holy shrines topped by murder, siege, judaization and settlement construction.

He added that the problem is in the essence of those talks and not their type.

Azzam Al-Ahmed, the head of Fatah's parliamentary bloc and member of its central committee, had said that no results would be achieved through indirect talks with the IOA.

He told a Fatah website on Saturday that only direct talks would lead to results, and asked the USA to pressure Israel into halting settlement activities in order to start the talks.
