Abbas refuses armed struggle even if negotiations failed
[ 25/05/2010 - 04:46 PM ]
PARIS, (PIC)-- Mahmoud Abbas, the former PA chief, told France 24 radio station that he would not resort to armed struggle even if the current negotiations with the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) failed to bring about any result.
He told the radio station that the Arab League discussed this possibility (failure of negotiations) and decided to go to the UN Security Council.
Abbas also said that he approved the deployment of a "third" force along the borders with Israel after concluding a peace agreement with it, adding that the force would protect Palestinians and appease the Israeli security concerns.
