Zahhar: Current negotiations are between Fatah and IOA
[ 25/05/2010 - 09:11 AM ]
GAZA, (PIC)-- Political bureau member of Hamas Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar said that the Palestinian factions did not authorize Fatah to negotiate the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on behalf of the Palestinian people.
He said in a political seminar on Monday night that the current negotiations were between Fatah faction and the IOA, recalling that the 2006 general elections showed Fatah as the minority force in the Palestinian street.
Zahhar said that his movement was waiting for Fatah's response to the current efforts in the reconciliation file, denying that Hamas had received any message from Azzam Al-Ahmed, central committee member of Fatah, in this regard.
Abbas Zaki, another Fatah central committee member, said in Amman that Al-Ahmed had sent a message to Hamas including approval to take Hamas's remarks on the Egyptian reconciliation paper into consideration after signing the paper.
