Sane’: extremist Jewish MK’s compete to show animosity to Palestinians

NAZARETH, (PIC)-- Arab member of the Knesset, Talab al-Sane’, head of Arab Democratic Party, said during the discussion on amending the nationality law at the Knesset that extremist Jewish members of the Knesset “compete with one another on hate and animosity to Palestinians and propose racist laws that contradict with humanitarian values and basic citizen rights.”

In a statement he made, Sane’ said that the MK’s who are proposing these laws “have no right to this land. We have citizenship because we are the indigenous residents of this land and we will stay here.”

“This land, these mountains and these valleys are ours, this is a historic fact. No Arab citizen can be stripped of his residency and citizenship through suppression and threats. Our residency is not conditional, neither is it a favour bestowed by anyone,” he added.

He also said that the introduction of such laws is political and has no legal basis expecting the government’s legal counsel to oppose such legislation, stressing that “even if such a racist legislation was passed by a majority of the Knesset’s extremist members, it will remain a non-legitimate legislation to the Arab minority,” adding that demise was the fate of any fascist legislation designed against the Arabs.
