Report: US Coalition Military Officers Captured by Syrians in East Aleppo

Posted on December 17, 2016
[ Ed. note – Perhaps a bit of prescience. The above video, speculating on the possibility of US coalition forces holed up in east Aleppo, was posted by SouthFront on December 6. Now, 11 days later, with all of east Aleppo in the hands of Syrian and allied forces, we get news that 14 members of the US coalition forces have indeed been captured. And we even have a list of names that includes one David Winer of the US, along with one David Shlomo Aram of Israel.
If all this proves to be true, it would certainly be a stunning development, although as the article below points out there may be efforts under way to keep the whole thing “under wraps,” with the US and Russia resolving it through diplomatic back channels, so to speak. That’s a possibility, although tensions between the two countries seem to be pretty high at the moment, with US officials screeching accusations of election tampering. At any rate, it will be interesting to see what, if anything, develops on this story.  H/T Greg Bacon. ]

For additional reporting on this story visit SouthFront. Nothing so far on the story from the mainstream media, who perhaps are too obsessed with “Russian hackers” to notice what’s going on.
