What is Zionism

<>What_is_Zionism

Zionists seek to portray Zionism as nothing more than a quest to create a homeland for the Jewish people. It is much more than this. The following articles explain what Zionism really is, the lengths Zionists have gone to in order to attain their goals and the horrific consequences their actions have had for the people of the Middle East.

Zionists have managed to unforgivably drag their religion's name through the mud for more than 60 years
Though my detractors often claim otherwise, I see myself as anything but a "self-hating Jew", and the more vocal I am in my criticism of the Israeli government's crimes, the more credence I give that claim. I passionately love my religion, and just as fervently defend its teachings to the hilt when it comes to how to treat our fellow man. That Zionism has come along, hijacked Jewish doctrines, and twisted them to form part of an all-out supremacist movement is not something I can swallow if I want to stay loyal to the true values of Judaism.

The false charge of anti-Semitism is the blackmail card which the obscenity of the Nazi holocaust enables Zionism to play to silence criticism of its self-righteous and aggressive child, Israel, and to suppress informed and honest debate about who must do what and why for justice and peace. But when citizens know the difference between Zionism and Judaism (and the truth of history, of which more later) they do not have to be frightened into silence, as most Gentiles currently are, by the fear of being falsely charged with anti-Semitism for criticising the Zionist state of Israel .
There is, however, another reason why it is essential for the citizens of the Western nations, among whom most of the Jews of the world live, to be aware of the difference between Judaism and Zionism. Knowledge of the difference is the explanation of why it is wrong to blame all Jews for the crimes of the few (hardcore Zionists in Israel/Palestine).

Zionist designs on Lebanon are longstanding. At the Versailles Peace Conference, in Paris, in 1919, the World Zionist Organisation submitted its official plan for the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine. The submitted map included the entire area of Palestine, the Southern part of Lebanon to the Litani River, the Syrian Golan Heights and the East Bank of the Jordan River, to the railway line. This design explains clearly the continuing expansionist Zionist programme which, so far, has accomplished the control of all of Palestine and the Golan Heights.
Sakhnini - The ZionistProject in Palestine: Colonial settlement, land robbery and ethnic cleansing

About 8,000 Jews were living in Palestine before 1882. Creation of a "Jewish State" in such a small country with such a small Jewish community, which owned virtually no land to settle on, was practically impossible. Consequently, building an exclusive Jewish State in Palestine implied Jews from the four corners of the world, acquisition of the land and ethnically cleansing it from its indigenous Arab population.
The UN General Assembly based its 1975 anti-Zionist resolution on the UN's own definition of racial discrimination, adopted in 1965. According to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, racial discrimination is "any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life."
The Zionist movement has maintained a striking continuity in its aims and methods over the past century. From the start, the movement sought to achieve a Jewish majority in Palestine and to establish a Jewish state on as much of the LAND as possible. ..... It also necessitated displacing Palestinians from their lands and jobs when their presence conflicted with Zionist interests.

Orthodox Jews the world over, are saddened by the hysteria which has greeted the recent stated desire of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to see a world free of Zionism. This desire is nothing more than a yearning for a better, more peaceful world. It is a hope that with the elimination of Zionism, Jews and Muslims will live in harmony as they have throughout the ages, in Palestine and throughout the world.
