Palestinian female prisoner in solitary for more than 100 uninterrupted days
[ 08/12/2009 - 06:47 PM ]
RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The parents of female prisoner Wafa Al-Bes said that their young daughter has been in solitary confinement in the Israeli Ramle prison for more than 100 consecutive days.
The family of the prisoner appealed to humanitarian organizations to intervene and pressure the Israeli prison authority to end its arbitrary measures against their daughter.
The family affirmed that the prison administration prevents their daughter from receiving visits, meeting lawyers or making any kind of contact with the outside world.
The prisoner was kidnapped at Beit Hanoun crossing in June 2005 and sentenced to 12 years and 14 days in prison and she has spent four and a half years mostly in an isolation cell.
