GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian Trade Union Assembly (PTUA) has urged Thursday the international community to break its silence towards the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people, and to pressure the Israeli occupation to respect international laws.

In a statement it issued, and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, PTUA said that while the international community is celebrating the 61st anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Israeli occupation government turns its back to and shrugs off international laws and human rights covenants, and continues the ugly crimes and massacres against the Palestinian civilians, including stealing their land and water and distorting features and geography of the holy land among other practices.

PTUA also highlighted the suffering of the Palestinian Jerusalemites who lost their homes and who were forced out of the city with the aim to effect a demographic change in favor of the Jews in it.

According to Palestinian records, Palestinian Jerusalemites were exposed to the ugliest form of terrorism as the Israeli occupation demolished their homes and cancelled their residency IDs in the city in addition to imposing intolerable taxes on them purposely to force them leave the city voluntarily.

Furthermore, PTUA noted that the Israeli occupation is still banning the entry of construction materials into Gaza Strip, leaving thousands of Palestinian families living in the open for nearly one year now after the Israeli occupation troops destroyed their homes during the war on Gaza last year.

“Where are the international community and the world’s foundations from these criminal Israeli practices against our Palestinian people” PTUA questioned in the statement.

In this regard, PTUA made it clear that the Arab and Muslim worlds shouldn’t stand indifferently towards the Israeli criminal schemes against the Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people, urging media outlets to carry out their mandate in revealing the truth and in exposing the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian civilians.
