Indonesian parliamentary delegation to visit Gaza by end of June

JAKARTA, (PIC)-- Marzuki Alie, the Indonesian parliament speaker, is to head a parliamentary delegation on a visit to Gaza Strip later this month to lay the foundation stone of a hospital financed by his country.
The Indonesian news agency Antara on Wednesday reported that the delegation had obtained the necessary approvals for the visit.
It said that the delegates are expected to enter Gaza on June 30 in a show of solidarity for Palestine.
"The visit is part of the parliament's task regarding international relations, and is also meant to deliver assistance collected from the Indonesian people for Gaza," the agency added.
