ANKARA, (PIC)-- The Turkish media reported that the Israeli troops who attacked Mavi Marmara, one of the Freedom Flotilla ships, possessed a “hit list” containing the names of activists who should be killed and eliminated.
They said on Monday that the Israeli government already prepared this list in order to liquidate certain participants in the convoy.
One of the Israeli soldiers during the raid on the Turkish cruise ship Marmara dropped this hit list and the media outlets in Turkey published it later yesterday.
In another context, the international coalition for the prosecution of war criminals stated Monday that the Israeli troops killed in cold blood 19 civilians and wounded 36 others on board the Freedom flotilla ships and seized humanitarian aid destined for the needy in Gaza.
The coalition described Israel’s action as a crime against humanity and a premeditated attack on a convoy carrying relief aid.
It affirmed that it will launch a campaign to file lawsuits against Israel on the basis of its latest crime and called on all countries, whose nationals were aboard the ships, to file complaints with the international criminal court in order to curb Israel’s thirst for violating international law.
For its part, the European campaign to end the siege, a Freedom Flotilla coalition partner, reassured in a statement on Monday the families of all participants in the convoy that it is working diligently and making intensive contacts with various official parties in order to obtain information about the conditions of detainees.
In a related development, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Israel locked up 16 people of those who were arrested at dawn Monday aboard Freedom Flotilla ships in Beersheba prison.
For their part, officials at the Turkish port of Antalya categorically denied what Israel claimed about finding weapons in the possession of the passengers aboard the ships.
