Zahhar: Hamas would score landslide victory in any future elections
[ 09/06/2010 - 06:22 PM ]
GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, political bureau member of Hamas, has affirmed conviction that his movement would win a landslide victory in any future elections and would never change its program.
Zahhar, addressing a political seminar in Gaza city on Wednesday, said that Hamas's political program is known to all and would not change and his movement would not turn into another Fatah as some was trying to circulate.
He said that families who lost their sons in the internal strife should reconcile with each other in order for the reconciliation to take place, adding that changing political programs was not a condition for such reconciliation.
The Hamas leader said that Egypt had a pivotal role in the inter-Palestinian healing process, adding that his movement did not wish to sever ties with any country.
Speaking about the prisoners' exchange deal, Zahhar renewed blaming the Israeli government for the delay in accomplishing the deal because it changed what had been agreed upon.
