Rezka: Fayyad gov't refused two offers to settle Gaza power crisis
[ 15/08/2010 - 12:30 PM ]
GAZA, (PIC)-- Yousef Rezka, the political advisor to Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya, has charged the illegitimate government of Salam Fayyad in Ramallah of refusing two proposals to solve the Gaza power crisis.
He said in an article published on Saturday that Fayyad's government refused the offers, claiming it suffered budget deficit.
The advisor charged that the electricity crisis was "fabricated" by the Fayyad government for political motives, hoping that Fayyad would give up political wrangling and accept the offer by Haneyya government.
Fayyad, who is the one deciding on industrial fuel supplies to Gaza, is the foremost person responsible for the daily suffering of Gaza inhabitants, Rezka underlined.
Meanwhile, informed sources told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that a PA military Kangaroo court in Al-Khalil city issued a three-month imprisonment sentence against prisoner Isam Zedat and demanded him to pay a fine of 50 Jordanian Dinars.
The sources said that Zedat was kidnapped by Abbas's security militias one and a half months ago because of his affiliation with Hamas.
Abbas's militias in Al-Khalil reportedly released a journalist called Amer Abu Arafa after he served his three-month prison term.
The PIC was told that Abu Arafa is a reporter for Shahab news agency and was released after he completed his sentence in prison and paid a fine of 500 Jordanian Dinars.
