Abu Zuhri: Fatah attempts to spread security chaos in Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza Strip, has plainly accused Thursday Fatah and the leftist factions rotating in its orbit of attempting to bring security chaos back to Gaza, and to topple Hamas government.

"Although Hamas repeatedly reiterated its keen on ending the Palestinian political rift, certain factions in the Palestinian arena exploited the popular activities and the people's calls to end the rift to stir security chaos again in the Strip and to incite against Hamas", said Abu Zuhri in an interview with the PIC Thursday.

He explained that members of the defunct Fatah-controlled security apparatuses in the Gaza Strip and leftist groups allied with it attempted to spread chaos and to destabilize peace and order in the Strip using the people's clamor for ending the political rift as an umbrella.

Furthermore, Abu Zuhri revealed security information that those groups were waiting for Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas to visit the Gaza Strip in order to challenge Hamas and to recruit as many followers as they could to create a state of security mess in the Strip.

In this regard, Abu Zuhri called on the Palestinian interior minister and the Palestinian security apparatuses to deal with full force with those mischievous groups in order to preempt their vicious plan.
