The demonstrators are out on the streets to express their solidarity with Palestinians. They want the liberation of Palestine from the Israeli occupation.
The international Quds Day is considered an international day of struggle against Israel and for liberation of Jerusalem al-Quds from the occupying regime.
The day is also seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
