Significance of Revenge... Resistance Threatened and Accomplished

The Islamic Resistance has discarded all the Zionist measures and alertness that took off after Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah threatened to avenge for the assassination of martyr leader Samir Kuntar. The operation on Monday - which took place near the point where the revenge for the assassination of Qunaitra martyrs took place - came to reassure that the resistance is capable of crossing the Zionist lines and affirming important points which we will be highlighting on in this article.

As soon as the operation took place, Minister of War Moshe Ya'alon, Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, as well as intelligence and operations chiefs held a meeting in which they assured that what happened on ground was a critical development that has overstepped all the measures.

According to experts, two major headlines highlight the significance of this operation:

First: The enemy has been in a state of alertness for a while now

The enemy is well aware of the size of violation, which was reflected in its environment and media despite silence on the official level. What is eye-catching also is that the enemy's environment considered that what happened could be only part of the revenge and not all of it, as the Zionist papers asked: Could there be another revenge?

At this phase, the enemy is still confused about how to conceive the situation, while sources from its environment considered that the state of alertness should continue so that it would not be an easy target in another revenge.

Indeed, our correspondent reported that even after the operation, the absence of patrols and soldiers was still noticeable and the state of alertness that has been taking place since two weeks was ongoing.

Operation Field

Based on the nature of the operation field, we can notice the following points:

- Advanced technology
- Frequent bombardment
- The region is very well observed, according to experts

Regarding the operation field, the achievement lies in the fact that the operation "took place in a sensitive region at a period when the Israeli enemy reduced its movement and intensified its surveillance, especially on the targeted point which the enemy has bombarded a couple of days ago after its fear that resistance fighters could have penetrated into the area. Despite all that, they were able to sneak into the area and plant a bomb there," according to military expert, General Mohammad Abbas.

Speaking to our Website, General Abbas added that "this confirms the capability of the resistance to surpass all the measures taken by the enemy to paralyze the resistance movement in the regions it has control over, specifically this region, which is under intense surveillance, and since the hills around it overlook the whole area reaching Al-Abbasiyah, Ghajar, Kfar Shouba, and Shebaa."

The significance of this achievement

At this point, it is necessary to point out other elements that add to the value of this achievement. Other than the measures taken by the enemy, the short period of time in which the resistance prepared for the operation was significant, as the revenge took place only days after the assassination.

In this context, General Abbas asked: "What if the enemy weren't in this level of alertness? If the resistance was able to reach this sensitive region... what would be the case in the rest of the border regions?

Ali Sheib, Al-Manar correspondent in the South pointed out that the significance of this operation does not lie in its outcome which the enemy is still concealing until today, but in its location, since it took place on the road that leads to the largest military barrack in Shebaa Farms (Zebdine Barrack), and is surrounded by several military points (Ramtha, Qafwa, Ruwaisat As-Sumaqa, Zebdine, Abbasiyah). The region is also enclosed by a barbed wire and is exposed to combing with artillery shells on daily bases. It is further fortified with surveillance tools and ambushes, yet the resistance fighters were able to break through all these measures and plant a big bomb there.

On the military level in general and the new equations that could be imposed after this operation, General Abbas considered that "the enemy had committed its crime by assassinating martyr Samir Kuntar, then it launched its threats to deter the resistance, especially as it was certain that the latter was occupied and targeted on several levels by the US and its ally countries, so the enemy's leadership thought that the operation could pass without revenge... but instead, the resistance confirmed that the tools of deterrence and the type of confrontation with the enemy are in its hand."

Israel Reveals "Accidental" Death of Military Officer after Shebaa Blast

The Zionist entity revealed on Tuesday night that an officer was killed and a soldier was injured, claiming that that happened during military drills in southern Occupied Palestine.

This acknowledgement came one day after Hezbollah targeted an Israeli military patrol in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms by detonating an explosive device that destroyed a Hamer vehicle.

Israeli Media: S. Nasrallah Mocked Zionist Army, Announced Opening Golan Front

Zionist media outlets devoted a long time to interpret Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah's speech, expressing the Israeli's augmenting fear from the party's response to assassination of martyr Samir Kuntar.

The Israeli analysts considered that, despite the Israeli threats, Sayyed Nasrallah's speech confirmed Hezbollah's willing to revenge Kuntar's martyrdom, and that the battlefield circumstances control the details of the response.

Sayyed Nasrallah mocked the Zionist soldiers who hid in their sites along the Palestinian northern borders after Hezbollah threats, the analysts added.

The Zionist media also focused on Hezbollah Secretary General's explicit decision to open Golan front against the Israeli army and to support the resistance group in the area.

Regarding the scenarios that Hezbollah may follow to respond to Kuntar's assassination, the Israeli analysts said that the party may kill a senior Zionist military officer.

S.Nasrallah: Retaliation for Kuntar Inevitable Whatever are the Consequences

Marking one week since Samir Al-Kuntar’s assassination, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah warned the Israeli enemy who’s hiding like rats alongside its borders that Hezbollah’s retaliation, which could be inside the Israeli entity or abroad, is inevitable.

“To us, whatever are the consequences and threats, which we don’t fear, we can’t tolerate and forgive those who shed the bloods of our fighters and brothers anywhere in the world,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, warning the Israeli to be worried inside its borders and abroad, “they are the ones who miscalculated, not us.”

In a televised speech one week after the martyrdom of 29-long-prisoner Samir Kuntar, the secretary general said the retaliation to Kuntar’s assassination has become in the hands of fellow members ‘who are faithful to the bloods of martyrs’. Hezbollah, his eminence said, would retaliate to the assassination “at the appropriate time and place and in the appropriate method.”

Sayyed Nasrallah also said: “Look at the borders from Naqoura to the last Israeli site in the occupied Golan, where are the enemy soldiers? Aren’t they hiding in holes like rats?” If they do undermine the importance of Kuntar and Hezbollah, why are they scared like that? He wondered.

Samir Al-Kuntar, who was freed in 2008 in a swap deal between Hezbollah and the Israeli enemy, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Damascus suburb of Jaramana.

Kuntar... The Icon of Resistance

Sayyed Nasrallah praised Kuntar as an ‘icon’ of resistance who didn’t submit to his Israeli jailer but remained a school in everything. “On this day we are in need to regain readiness to sacrifices as Kuntar's 30 years in Israeli prisons show the role model of sacrifice.”

"Samir’s 30 years in prison can’t be explained in a couple of sentences, the son of Jabal (mountain) the Mount of determination and steadfastness, with all the sufferings he faced were enough to break his heart and emotions but it failed to do so. On the contrary, he was more resilient and steadfast even when he saw all his fellow being freed from prisons.”

“As he was sentenced to life in Israeli prisons, he continued his education, he used to lift morals of other prisoners, he exerted efforts in flourishing the Palestinian cause…” The S.G. said he hadn’t known Martyr Kuntar until 2000 when Hezbollah was negotiating a swap deal with the Israeli enemy. “Samir affected me most after 2000 when the German mediator told us the release of Kuntar was impossible. That day, Kuntar was selfless and told us not to stop the deal on the precondition of freeing him, he didn’t want the deal which would see his fellow freed to be terminated,” he said.

After his release in 2008, Kuntar could have lived a normal life amongst his family and friends but he refused that, Sayyed Nasrallah said. “He even requested to help the resistance in its struggle against the Zionist entity and offered to give his expertise to Hezbollah as he had left Palestine only to return to it, and demanded that he be trained militarily.”

“I, personally, told him not to join the ranks of Islamic resistance fighters and be under danger since you are a symbol and you can play a supreme model role, but he refused that.”

“Samir wanted to be on the front lines, until the developments began to flare in Syria and a new horizon opened for the establishment of a Syrian popular resistance, he found out that he can give help and offer something special there, so he requested that he be allowed to join his resistance brothers in Syria,” Sayyed Nasrallah indicated. Samir and his brothers helped in transferring expertise to the Syrian youth resistance which the enemy fears, he added.

Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that the Israeli enemy sought to abort any Syrian popular resistance project in the Golan since its beginning. “That’s why it pursued any member of this resistance and only being a member of it would subject him to arrest or killing.” “This shows the sensitivity of this front to the Israeli, they don’t want to open such door, not only because of the fear of liberation of Golan Heights, but because they don’t want the return of Golan to the political map,” his eminence said.

Israel Miscalculated

Kuntar’s ‘sin’ was that he took responsibility of the Golan front, at the time when the Israeli enemy doesn't want this front to ignite, Sayyed Nasrallah revealed. "Kuntar and the Qunaitra martyrs played a role in providing support to the resistance movement in the Golan and this is what Israel feared,” Hezbollah's leader said referring to an Israeli air raid that struck a Hezbollah convoy in the Golan Heights town January this year. Among those killed in the airstrike were Jihad Moghniyeh, the son of Hezbollah Martyr Commander Imad Moghniyeh, and field commander Mohammad Issa. An Iranian general and two Syrian fighters were also killed in the strike.

“It’s possible that the Israeli enemy misinterpreted, this enemy doesn't understand what brotherhood means as Kuntar said in his will "we are equal in arms". And this Israeli thought Kuntars wasn’t that important to Hezbollah and didn't imagine that we would adopt his martyrdom and his revenge.”
His eminence noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “sought to obtain international recognition of the annexation of the Golan under the excuse of the Syrian conflict.” “The Israeli decided that eliminating such an important target is worth the adventure and the sacrifice,” he added.

The Israeli, Sayyed Nasrallah said, wants us to reach a place where we’d lose hope that this entity would ever be eliminated and that it’s eternal, strong, possesses nuclear warheads and has the strongest army and air force in the region and has the US, which refuses even to be condemned on its terrorism and crimes, in its back. But the school of Samir Al-Kuntar and the resistance says there’s no room for desperation, he added.

“The state that is not based on its own strengths and only rely on the United States, which provide it with all the support and protection, will weaken and it’d be easy to wipe it out,” the S.G. said.

“We don’t need the Arab’s money or their armies, only those fighting and being fought in Syria and Iraq are enough to wipe Israel off the map.”

The Hezbollah leader hailed the stabbing operations Palestinian youths are launching. “The steadfastness of the Palestinians today is the real resistance, the more so is revealed in their continued sit-in, high awareness, solid will, armed resistance, and stabbing operations that are frightening the Israeli soldiers and settlers. Those who are staging stabbing operations in Palestine know that they would either be martyred or jailed, but they remain in their resistance to regain their occupied territories.”

Sayyed Nasrallah condoled the families of martyrs who fell alongside Martyr Samir Al-Kuntar in the Israeli airstrike in Jaramana, Syria. He also thanked all people who participated in the commemoration of Martyr Kuntar and all those who paid condolences on his martyrdom.
His eminence wished people a happy Christmas and Mawled, the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, which he said came at a hard time for the region.

“For more than 66 years, we do not know joy and celebration, especially in the last few years... However, we should keep smiling."

The commemoration ceremony which was held by Hezbollah in Shahed hall, in Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh), was held marking one week since Kuntar’s assassination in an Israeli air raid in Syria. At the beginning of the ceremony, a video was shown on a large screen on Kuntar marking his achievements and sufferings towards the resistance and Palestinian cause.

Kuntar’s brother, Bassam, then delivered a speech on behalf of his family in which he vowed the continuation of his brother’s path. He also voiced confidence that the wise leadership of Hezbollah will choose the appropriate time and place to avenge Samir Al-Kuntar’s killing.

A Return to Palestine...

It almost feels like it was yesterday that thousands of ecstatic Lebanese gathered in Beirut's southern suburbs to welcome home the longest serving Arab prisoner in an "Israeli" jail.

Hours earlier on that hot summer day in 2008, the lenses of the global media were focused on the tarmac of Beirut's international airport.

That's where Samir Quntar was flown in by helicopter after twenty-eight years in an Israeli prison cell.

It may be unthinkable these days, but back in 2008, the entire Lebanese cabinet had gathered to welcome Quntar.

The Lebanese Prime Minister at the time, Fouad Sinora, and former President Michel Sleiman were all eager to stand shoulder to shoulder with the man who was only sixteen years old when he was captured by the Israelis during a daring cross-border raid inside occupied Palestine.

Quntar and four other prisoners were swapped for the bodies of two "Israeli" soldiers.

Hours later, he stood on a podium in the Hizbullah stronghold of Dahiye. Addressing the crowd, he said he had "returned from Palestine, only to return back to Palestine".

For those of us who were fortunate enough to be there that evening, the atmosphere - generated by the jubilant, million-strong crowd - was overwhelming.

It was the aftermath of the 2006 war, and victory by the Lebanese resistance was complete with Samir Quntar's return, forever shattering the invincible image of the Israeli war machine.

But following his release, Quntar did not hang up his uniform - a right afforded to anyone who had sacrificed as much as he did.

Instead, over the next few years he rose through the ranks of Hizbullah, becoming a highly decorated commander. And when the time came to confront the newest Zionist/Western sponsored armies, assembled to destroy the resistance axis, he picked up his rifle and journeyed to Syria.

A true soldier in every sense of the word, Quntar personified Hizbullah's message of resistance and resilience.

And that is perhaps the main reason why the "Israelis" were equally determined to kill him.

The news of several rockets slamming into a building in the Damascus suburb of Jaramana, where Quntar was staying, should have come as no surprise to anyone. By most accounts, last week's attack was not the first attempt on the life of the Hizbullah commander.

Unfortunately, however, it would be the last.

More than seven years after Quntar praised the resistance for becoming the "culture of the next generation" in Beirut's southern suburbs, he was taken back to the same location one last time.

His coffin, draped in a Hizbullah flag, was carried to its final resting place. For the thousands who had gathered to mourn his passing, this was a day of grief and sorrow, but many had one other thing on their minds - revenge.

"It is our right to respond to his assassination at the time, place and means we deem appropriate. We in Hizbullah will practice this right," said Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in a televised address following Quntar's funeral.

For retired Lebanese Army General Elias Farhat, it is not a matter of if, but rather when and where Hizbullah will retaliate.

"Hizbullah has three courses of action available: retaliate in Lebanon's "Israeli"-occupied Sheba'a Farms, retaliate in the Golan Heights where Samir Quntar was building a resistance force against the "Israelis", or retaliate inside "Israel"," said General Farhat.

Samir Quntar was one of the architects of a blueprint for the liberation of the "Israeli"-occupied Golan Heights, assembling a Syrian resistance movement focused specifically on this task.

The forces that were under Quntar's command are essentially made up of local Syrians, mostly Druze, from areas close to Syria's southern border.

A Druze by birth, Quntar was also a key channel of communication between Hizbullah and the local Syrian Druze community both in the Golan and Syria's southern province of Sweida.

According to General Farhat, "in order to build up the resistance in the Golan, you need logistical support from Hizbullah and Iran, as well as the coordination between Samir Quntar and the local Druze community".
Earlier this year, the "Israelis" stepped up their efforts to drive a wedge between the Damascus government and the Druze, in the hope of further destabilizing southern Syria and expanding their role in the Syrian conflict.

The assassination of Samir Quntar would certainly have been part of Tel Aviv's push to advance that agenda.

It is, however, highly unlikely to seriously undermine the efforts of Hizbullah and its allies in building up their infrastructure against "Israeli" occupation forces in southern Syria.

The immediate concern will of course be on whether Quntar's killing will lead to a wider confrontation between Hizbullah and "Israel".

That is also highly unlikely.

General Farhat thinks that Hizbullah's response will be coordinated with Iran and Russia.

"Because of Moscow's recently expanded military role in the fight against terrorism in Syria, retaliation needs to be discussed in the context of the impact it would have on the entire situation," he added.

And with Hizbullah refusing to be dragged into a war on "Israel's" terms, a full-scale confrontation is improbable.

’Israel’: Hezbollah Has Become Ferocious Army, Kuntar’s Revenge "Inevitable"

Commenting on the speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, the Israeli press considered that the party's response to the assassination of martyr Samir Kuntar is a matter of time.

Yediot Ahronot newspaper mentioned that if Hezbollah follows the current rules of engagement, revenging Kuntar's assassination is matter of time, expecting that the party would launch a ground attack on the Israeli sites on the Palestinian northern border.

Ynet quoted a Zionist military officer as saying that Hezbollah has become an army that is capable of battling ferociously, adding that all the measures taken by the Israeli army on the border will not prevent Hezbollah from attacking the entity.

Jerusalem Post revealed that martyr Samir Kuntar managed to establish in Syria's Golan a military resistance group that coordinates its activities with Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force.

Describing it as major intelligence Israeli achievement, the paper added that Kuntar assassination responded to his possible future schemes, not his past attacks, against the Zionist entity.
