A Houston man who sent a Rice University professor a youtube link via e-mail in October was contacted by police investigators shortly thereafter. The video, entitled 'History They Don't Teach You in School', covers the history of false flag terrorism, Israeli Zionists, and Israeli involvement in the September 11, 2001 attacks


 
It was e-mailed to Rice University Jewish Studies professor Rabbi Shira Lander, Ph.D, after the man had seen fliers advertising her Jewish studies anti-semitism class. Rabbi Lander had also recently given a public lecture series on the same topic. The series, consisting of three consecutive lectures which were advertised as open to the public, were held on October 13th, 20th, and 27th.

The Rice website advertising the event read "Dr. Shira Lander,visiting professor of Religious Studies presents a three part lecture series entitled "The History of Anti-Semitism" Wednesday evenings in October at 7:30 p.m. at Congregation Brith Shalom.
Part I: Greco-Roman Anti-Judaism (October 13)
Part II: Christian Anti-Judaism (October 20)
Part III: Muslim and Modern Anti-Judaism. (October 27)

In this 3-session class, Dr. Shira Lander will trace the transformation of anti-Jewish sentiments and images from Greco-Roman, Christian and Muslim cultures into modern anti-Semitism"

Upon clicking History They Don't Teach You in School, youtube visitors are greeted with the message "This video or group may contain content that is inappropriate for some users, as flagged by YouTube's user community".

The video, 15:30 in length, was posted on September 13, 2010 by youtube user USraeliTerror and has 11,931 views. The video description reads "A brief history of Jewish terrorism and Israeli false-flag operations", and includes numerous links to additional information, including ABC News, wikipedia, globalresearch.ca, WhatReallyHappened, and others.

Following is the short e-mail exchange that the Houston resident had with the professor:

Also... Nano-thermite is an incendiary, not an explosive. Nano-thermite might have played a role, but is nothing but a major distraction shoved down our throats by controlled opposition who insist we stay clear of the Israeli angle. If your family was killed and you found out who did it would you keep yelling about how the murders were committed or would you focus on the who and go after the murderers themselves? The fake truth movement that was started by and continues to be controlled by the perpetrators teaches truthers to ignore the who while begging for a new investigation that will never happen. The truth is not anti-Semitic!

A week later, the man received an e-mail message from Sgt. Gary Spears, of the Rice University Police Department Criminal Investigations Division in Houston. The message stated: "_____, Please contact me at ___ concerning the above titled internet link that was sent out using your ____ e-mail address. Thanks, Gary."

The man was surprised that a professor would call the police over a link to a youtube video. He was concerned after receiving the message from the officer, but called him as requested. "I just stated to him that I never met this woman and haven't had any other exchange with her other than those emails, so obviously this is not a harrassment issue. He seemed to be totally satisfied with this, so I don't think I have to worry about further problems. I'll tell you though, I was floored to be contacted by the police over this! The professor's comments are funny; when I read " just want to know what your intentions are", I thought, well it doesn't matter what my intentions are, what matters is what is true or not. But I didn't feel like communicating with her further."

Debate continues regarding the role of Israel and the Mossad in the 9/11 attacks. Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga told the Italian Press that last year that "All the [intelligence services] of America and Europeknow well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the Mossad, with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part in Iraq [and] Afghanistan." Former Senior BBC Mideast Correspondent Alan Hart told Professor Kevin Barret that the Israeli Mossad did 9/11. Dr. Barret founded the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance (MUJCA) in 2004. He states "The 9/11 truth process... opens a vast range of possibilities for interfaith dialogue, coexistence, and understanding".

“WHY WAS THE ZIONIST  Philip Zelikow appointed as Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission?” many are now asking.

Indeed, many are saying that Zelikow, with his close ties to Condoleezza Rice, Cheney, and President George Bush, could not conduct an unbiased investigation as Director of the Commission.


In his new book, The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9/11 Investigation, Philip Shenon wrote: “The appointment of Zelikow to head the inquiry into America’s response to the September 11 terrorist attacks was akin to putting the fox in charge of the hen house.”

The Family Steering Committee for the 9-11 Commission repeatedly called for Philip Zelikow’s resignation. The families, citing Zelikow’s close connections to the Bush Administration, were concerned that Zelikow’s appointment made a mockery of the idea that the Commission was “independent.” But the Zionist controlled Bush Administration ignored their complaint.

Zionists in key positions are obstructing the investigation of 9/11 in order to conceal evidence of Israeli and Zionist involvement in the crimes.

  • Michael Chertoff:
He was the Assistant Attorney General at the time of the attack & responsible for the “non-investigation” of 9-11. Chertoff, son of a Talmudic Rabbi , is a dual citizen of Israel & the United States. He is now the head of US Homeland Security.

Chertoff confiscated all the crucial evidence of the 9/11 attack. This evidence includes physical pieces from the different aircraft involved. He is denying all available evidence to families of the victims citing “Sensitive Security Information Regulations” to block discovery of evidence.

Chertoff allowed Israeli suspects to return to Israel without being investigated. These suspects were caught driving with explosives near the WTC on September 11, 2001. They were driving a moving van of a phony company, Urban Moving Systems, which was found to be a Mossad front company.


5 other Israeli suspects of Urban Moving Systems were seen on the roof of a nearby building videotaping and celebrating the destruction of the WTC. Chertoff also allowed these prime Jewish suspects to return to Israel. Obviously Chertoff has no loyalty to America. He is a miserable traitor who should be imprisoned for life.


  • Alvin K. Hellerstein:
This zionist of Talmudic idiology, continues to act as Federal Judge to oversee cases involving the 9-11 attacks. Hellerstein, has prevented discovery with respect to the cases of the families of the victims.

  • Michael B. Mukasey:
ThisTalmudic zionist acted along with Hellerstein as presiding Federal Judge of 9-11 cases. Mukasey, was Bush’s Attorney General.


Mukasey ensured that Larry Silverstein the owner of the World Trade Center collected $4.6 billion dollars from insurance companies as presiding judge over the insurance settlements case.


In the days after the attacks, Mukasey worked behind closed doors seeing some of the first material witnesses detained by Federal authorities.
These would have included the “five dancing Israelis” as mentioned above. For obvious reasons, the Zionist Mukasey, disallowed any further examinations of the Israelis Here.

-Lewis “Scooter” Libby- Chief promoter of the War On Terror Here when Assistant to President Bush from 2001-2005. Libby resigned after he was indicted on federal obstruction and perjury charges in a Grand Jury investigation into the Plame Affair regarding the Iraq War.


Libby was sentenced to 30 months in prison on felony counts with regard to the criminality of the War In Iraq Here. But Bush, commuted Libby’s sentence and he got off free.


-Paul Wolfowitz- US Deputy Secretary of Defense under President Bush from 2001-2005. Wolfowitz is best known as one of the “architects” of the war against Iraq.


Wolfowitz is also known for his infamous quote when Deputy Secretary of Defense: “Intelligence about terrorism is inherently murky and the U.S. must be prepared to act on less-than-perfect information” Here.


-Douglas Feith- Feith served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy under President Bush from 2001-2005.


In 1999, Feith’s law firm, Feith & Zell, formed an alliance with the Israel-based law firm, Zell, Goldberg & Co, whose clients included the major military contractors, Lockheed & Northrop Grumman. 


Feith’s new book, War and Decision, in his attempt to justify the Iraq War, provides excerpts of documents revealing that the US Department of Defense was calling for Bush to focus not on taking down the Al-Qaeda network but on establishing “new regimes” throughout the Middle East Here.

MK proposes transfer of Palestinians- Massive protest in Sheikh Jarrah against displacement of Palestinians

NAZARETH, (PIC)-- Likud MK Carmel Shama has proposed the transfer of the biggest possible number of Palestinians in 1948 occupied Palestine into the Palestinian state in the event of its establishment.

Shama, addressing a seminar on Saturday, said that fanatic nationalism was growing in the midst of Arab population, adding that it was only a matter of time when the situation there explodes.

The Likud MK specifically mentioned the population of Um Al-Faham in north of occupied Palestine 1948.

For his part, Arab MK Talab Al-Sane called for a "criminal investigation" against Shama for suspicion of inciting racism. He added that Palestinians in the Triangle area would stay put while the fascists and racists would go to the "dustbin of history".

In a similar note, Israel Beitenu MK Lia Shemtov was planning to table a new law with Knesset (Israeli parliament) making it imperative on any Arab to swear allegiance to Israel as a "democratic and Jewish state" as a prerequisite for his work or else he would be sacked from his job.

Shemtov told the Israeli radio that another law would be tabled binding members of local councils to take a similar oath.

She stressed that leader of her party Avigdor Lieberman, current foreign minister of Israel, strongly supports her draft laws.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Dozens of Jerusalemite citizens and foreign activists participated in a protest in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood against Israel's plan to displace Palestinians from their homes and Judaize the neighborhood.

A large number of Israeli troops stormed and cordoned off the neighborhood to prevent other Palestinians from joining the protest.

The protesters condemned the decision taken by the higher Israeli court which allowed settlers to seize Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem, including the homes of three families last year and the intention to expel 25 other families from their homes.

The Israeli courts declined several lawsuits filed by the residents of the neighborhood against plans to expel them from their homes and give them to Jewish settlers, although they submitted documents proving their ownership of the homes.

In a separate incident, dozens of Palestinians suffered suffocation when Israeli troops fired volleys of tear gas grenades at the weekly protest organized in the village of Iraq Burin, near Nablus city, against settlement expansion and land annexation.

Local sources said that Israel soldiers ambushed Palestinian young men and chased them which triggered clashes between the two sides.

In Ariha (Jericho) city, a number of extremist Jewish settlers stormed last night the city under military protection and sneaked into a deserted synagogue called Naaran.

Local sources said that the settlers chanted racial slurs against Arabs and loudly called for rebuilding the synagogue and strengthening the Jewish presence in the city.

CHINA TO THE US: STOP WITH THE MONOPOLY MONEY


NEW YORK – November 13, 2010
One day, the king of ancient Babylon summoned his treasury overseer and exclaimed, “I need more money to wage war on those Hittite terrorists! “I looked in the great treasure chest and it’s nearly empty. There are hardly any gold coins left,” he thundered.
“Oh Light of the Euphrates,” groveled his terrified minister, “we are out of gold. Your wars have become too expensive.”
“But I have a solution, your celestial greatness. We will quietly trim the amount of gold in our imperial gold coins to make them go further. No one will notice.”
Fast forward to Washington, 2010.   It’s no longer called “clipping coins.” Today, the name for debauching a nation’s currency is called “quantitative easing(QE),” but it’s still the same old fraud committed by financial flim-flam men.    
Washington is flooding financial markets with $600 billion of worthless dollars, hoping a rising tide of Monopoly money will somehow lift America out of recession. The Fed’s first QE effort was a fizzle.
The US government is stoking worldwide inflation in order to lower its outstanding debt by repaying creditors with depreciated dollars.  The rest of the world is boiling angry at Washington.
Just before last week’s G20 economic summit in South Korea, China’s state credit agency publicly downgraded America’s credit rating and questioned US leadership of the world’s economy. 
In an unprecedented, stinging rebuke, China  scolded Washington for “deteriorating debt repayment capability,” and predicted quantitative easing would lead to “fundamentally lowering the national solvency.” 
Wow! This was a  real slap in the face heard around the globe. China is the largest holder of US government debt.  I remember the day when New York financiers used to sneer at iffy stock or bond issues as, “Chinese paper.”  Now, it’s “American paper.” How the world has turned.
Washington has been blasting China for manipulating its currency to keep the value low – which is quite true. Embarrassingly, Germany and Brazil just accused the US of  being as big a currency manipulator as China – which is also quite true.
A depreciated dollar boosts US exports and hurts nations exporting to the US. Economists call it, “beggar thy neighbor,” a destructive trade practice that played a key role in the 1930’s world depression.
This money flood is eroding the value of the dollar, the world’s premier medium of exchange. In the past two months, the US dollar has dropped 6% against other major currencies. Frightened investors are piling into gold, now up 17% in 60 days. 
The Obama administration, just “shellacked” by voters in mid-term elections, and desperate to lower unemployment, is gambling more debt shock therapy will spark the economy  back to life. But massive, unsustainable debt caused the US financial meltdown in 2008.
The US public debt has hit a stratospheric $14 trillion.   You don’t treat a poisoning victim with more poison. 
But panicky politicians are ready to try any sort of economic snake oil remedy to save their skins. Before 2007, America was living high on phony financial froth. Finance had become America’s leading business. Those days are over but no one dares tells voters.
Besides destabilizing world exchange rates and trade, Washington’s money flood is pouring into emerging markets as American investors seek higher returns than the miserable .03% available at home.   
During the 1980’s, we saw fragile Asian economies battered as investment from the US flooded in, then out. This is happening again, boosting currencies of many nations, making their exports uncompetitive. Investments barriers are going up from China to Brazil. 
President Barack Obama inherited a horrible mess from the Bush administration. However, his wrongheaded economic response is undermining the world’s economic order. A nation’s currency is more a symbol of its strength and good name than its flag. Running down the US dollar, which ruled world finance since 1945, could mark the beginning of the end of the American era.
That’s what the American delegation to the G20 economic summit in Seoul, South Korea heard this week. Obama’s economic policies, notably his attempts to stimulate the US economic with the steroids of more deficit spending, were roundly rejected and criticized by other G20 members.
However, there was an uncommon  flash of common sense in Washington last week. A special bi-partisan presidential panel on reducing the national deficit proposed $4 trillion in federal spending cuts. 
All political sacred cows were targeted. The biggest: the $700 billion military budget. A third of US worldwide military bases would close. There would be cuts to social security,  mortgage deductions, delays in retirement age,  an end to politician’s local pet projects. Taxes would rise.
The howling has already begun. Unfortunately, such unpopular, drastic spending cuts seem highly unlikely, particularly in the new US Congress where Republicans and Democrats will be deadlocked.  America would need an economic dictator to implement the panel’s full plan.  
So it seems the US will stagger along under a mountain of unsustainable debt while the world economy suffers widening shocks and turmoil.  
More empires have been undone by financial collapse than invasion or battlefield defeats. The once mighty United States is staggering in this direction

Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails suffered during the last four years much more than what they experienced over the past 40 years,

GAZA, (PIC)-- Ansar Al-Asra (advocates for prisoners) organization said that the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails suffered during the last four years much more than what they experienced over the past 40 years, attributing this deterioration to the inter-Palestinian division.

This came during a symposium on the internal division and its impacts on the issue of prisoners organized Saturday in Gaza by the Palestinian progressive youth union.

Head of the organization Jamal Farwana stated in his speech that the Israeli prison administrations took advantage of the state of division in the Palestinian arena and divided prisoners into groups according to their political affiliations and residential areas, which made the prisoners lose their ability to make a united decision in the face of the violations committed against them in prison.

Farwana added that the organizations and activists concerned with prisoners' affairs were also affected by the division, where many institutions were closed in the West Bank and their cadres were hunted and arrested, the thing which undermined their solidarity activities.

He appealed for necessarily ending the division or at least keeping the issue of prisoners away from political disputes.

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Hamas detainees in Jericho prison plan to go on hunger strike on the first day of Eid Al-Adha next Tuesday to protest the "criminal treatment" of PA security militias loyal to de facto Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas despite court orders for their release.

The Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights quoted its representatives visiting detainees from Al-Khalil who were moved to Jericho jail as saying that they were tortured at the hands of Abbas's militia.

The prisoners said that they were dangled upside-down from the ceiling of their cells and on other occasions their hands were tied to the ceiling other than being forced to sit in awkward positions for 17 consecutive hours.

Meanwhile, Abbas's militia on Saturday arrested two ex-prisoners in Israeli jails affiliated with the Islamic Jihad movement in Kufr Ra'ee village, Jenin district, after storming their homes and confiscating their money and other personal property.

Local sources identified the two as Anas Walid, who served four years in Israeli jails, and Bilal Nabil, who served seven years in Israeli jails.

Finkelstein: ‘War in Gaza was a prelude what’s to come in Lebanon’

The controversial American Jewish academic, author and a critic of Zionist-regime’s policies in Occupied Palestine and Lebanon. Unlike his fellow Jewish academic and critic of Washington’s foreign policy, Dr. Chomsky, Dr. Finkestein has never claimed to be a supporter of Israel.

On October 28, 2010 – Dr. Norman Finkelstein spoke at a function sponsored by the Canadians For Justice and Peace In The Middle East (CJPME) held at the University of Toronto.

He told the audience that the 2008-2009 Israeli genocide of 1.5 million Palestinian people was a prelude to what’s to come in Lebanon. Watch a video at the end of this post.

According to Dr. Finkelstein, the Zionist entity flew 2,800 to 3,000 combat missions, not a single plane was damaged because Hamas sat in its bunkers the whole time; an Israeli analyst said not a single battle was fought.

“After the first week of the air assault, the land assault began. The Israeli soldiers had special night-fighting equipment so Hamas couldn’t even see them. One Israeli soldier said: ‘There was nothing there. It was a ghost town, with only livestock.’ Another soldier said: “I didn’t see a single Arab the whole week I was there.’ Another Israeli soldier said: “It felt like hunting season. It reminded me of a playstation computer game.’ ”

Surreal though this may sound, Mr. Finkelstein said the reality is that this so called War in Gaza was really 22 days of death and destruction inflicted on the Palestinian people in Gaza. He said the Israeli military exploded white phosphorous – which burns at a temperature of 816 degrees Celsius – over schools, hospitals and markets, resulting in 1400 Palestinians deaths.

“Four-fifths of these deaths were civilians, of which 400 were children. Israel had 10 combat deaths and four civilian.

The kill ratio was 100 to one. Is this a war or a massacre?”

Subsequently he asked the audience to raise their hands if they had heard that Israel claimed the high number of civilian deaths was due to Hamas using human shields and forcing people to gather near Hamas staging grounds.

Although many in the audience raised their hands, few did when he asked them how many knew that of the 300 human rights organizations that investigated, not one reported any evidence of Hamas using human shields or forcing people to remain around buildings controlled by Hamas.

“That shows the power of media,” Mr. Finkelstein said. “The basic facts are not widely known.”
He added that Amnesty International said even if Israeli accusations of human shields being used were true, it doesn’t explain the deaths in Gaza.

“Many were killed in their homes or going about their daily activities. Of the 400 children killed, many were studying or playing on their roofs or in their homes.

All the human rights organizations said these actions were war crimes and crimes against humanity. They said Hamas committed comparable crimes, but not on a comparable scale.”

Dr. Finkelstein said he thinks the real reason for the assault on Gaza was part of a plan to restore Israel’s deterrence capacity, after it suffered military defeats in Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. He said a former US ambassador to Israel has predicted that Israel will attack Lebanon within the next 18 months.

“Israel has made it clear that it intends to do to Lebanon, what it did to Gaza – use massive force against the civilian infrastructure. Israel has said that the next war will be a game-changer.

Hezbollah leader Nasrallah said the next war will be a tit for tat war – a factory for a factory and an airport for an airport. If missiles hit Tel Aviv there will be massive casualties. There’s no way that Israel will accept a third defeat in Lebanon. If Hezbollah starts losing, it’s almost certain that Iran will enter, knowing they will be next. It’s difficult to know how it will end, but both sides will probably resort to extreme measures.”

With the possibility of war on the horizon, much is being made in the media of the peace process to try and resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; but Mr. Finkelstein said there has never been a peace process: it is just a facade for annexation.

“In September 1993, when the Oslo Peace Accord was signed, there were 250,000 settlers. Now, 17 years later there are 500,000 settlers. Fourty-two per cent of the West Bank has been annexed. When Palestinians complain about this, Israel says the issue of settlements must be negotiated in the peace process.”

GAZA, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stationed at the borders of Gaza Strip fired a shell at a deserted area in Juhr Al-Deek northeast of Breij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Security sources said that the IOF tanks fired the shell then opened heavy machinegun fire at citizens' homes east of the refugee camp.

They said that no casualties were reported but women and children were frightened at the sound of the explosions.

GAZA, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired at and wounded a 13-year-old Palestinian boy east of Gaza on Sunday while collecting gravel, medical sources reported.

Adham Abu Salmiya, the media coordinator of the medical services, told the PIC that the boy was hit with a bullet in his foot, describing his injury as moderate.

IOF shooting wounded 67 workers collecting gravel in Gaza Strip border areas since early 2009.

Meanwhile, IOF troops detained a 15-year-old Palestinian girl while on her way to the Ibrahimi Mosque for prayers in Al-Khalil city on Sunday.

Local sources said that Hadeel Abu Turki was taken to an unknown location and for yet unknown reasons.

NABLUS, (PIC)-- Jewish settlers burnt dozens of Palestinian olive trees east of Salem village, Nablus district, on Sunday, local sources reported.

They said that the settlers came from a settlement outpost near the village and set more than 15 dunums of olive trees on fire.

The sources said that the area contained more than 150 olive trees and that fire had spread all over the area.

The Republican Party’s takeover of the House of Representatives in the recent election also ushers in a consolidation of pro-Israeli political influence over Congress unlike ever before. Then, too—not coincidentally—it heralds a new era in which secret campaign contributions by big-money interests are now holding sway in an unprecedented way.

Exemplifying these new developments is the rapid-fire rise of Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), a deeply religious Orthodox Jew and pro-Israeli “neo-conservative” hard-liner who is expected to be named House majority leader in the forthcoming GOP-controlled Congress.

Although the majority leader post is officially the No. 2 slot in the House of Representatives, the truth is, Cantor will hold tremendous behind-the-scenes power in the Republican caucus—greater than even Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), who is slated to become speaker of the House (and with whom Cantor has never been on the best of terms).

A new conservative political action group and think tank

Cantor’s particular influence stems from his control—along with another pro-Israeli hardliner, former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.)—of a secretive and well-funded political action committee, the American Action Network (AAN), run by Cantor’s close advisor and former chief of staff, Rob Collins.

Cantor’s AAN operation is believed to have raised up to $25 million this past year and spent at least $16 million in waging independent expenditures on behalf of Cantor-approved Republican candidates in the  recent election.

On Oct. 25 even The Washington Post was moved to describe AAN as “mysterious” and described Collins as one of “a small circle of operatives with the coveted expertise of actually running such secretive organizations.”

Collins himself has said, “I have a weird gift for raising money.”

That gift has given new power to Cantor, who played a major part through AAN in orchestrating the GOP victory, bankrolled by well-heeled contributors whose names are not required to be revealed to the Federal Election Commission.

It is no coincidence that two other, similar fundraising ventures— American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS, both run by former George W. Bush operative Karl Rove—share offices with Cantor’s  AAN. Ellen Miler of the Sunlight Foundation said the massive spending by such groups in the 2010 elections is the “how-to” for the 2012 election.

“It’s how to use corporate money, how to use secret money, to buy elections,” she said. “It’s going to be no holds barred.”

While most members of Congress generally rely on campaign contributions from within their own districts, examination of Cantor’s reported contributions indicate that his political fortunes have relied extensively on a great deal of money supplied by Jewish contributors from across the country.

Cantor is able to tap into those same sources to fund his AAN operation on behalf of pro-Israel Republicans. So, Cantor’s access to tens of millions of dollars in secret cash contributions makes this young congressman particularly influential, today and in the future.

The influx of so many new GOP “conservatives” elected with Cantor’s help will also expand the influence of the Republican Study Committee—of which Cantor is a member—which is composed of more than a hundred GOP congressmen, all of whom are vociferous allies of the Jewish lobby.

The RSC’s executive director, Paul Teller—who described himself to TheWashington Post as the RSC’s “token Jew”—formerly served on the staff of Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.). Pence once described how every time the subject of Israel was mentioned on the House floor, he rushed there to hear what was being said. Now Pence is reportedly hoping to parlay his peculiar devotion to Israel into a 2012 presidential campaign.

The Republican victory also brings control of at least two key House committees into the hands of pro-Israeli lawmakers.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee’s new chair is Cuban-born Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. She has long been one of the loudest advocates for Israel in Washington. Upon her election to Congress in 1988 and for years afterward, she was touted as “the first woman of Hispanic origin elected to the House,” but then the truth came out: Ros-Lehtinen was the granddaughter of Sephardic Jews from Turkey who migrated to Cuba.

Slated to chair the Homeland Security Committee is Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) who—although an Irish Catholic who attended the University of Notre Dame —is a boisterous voice for Israeli interests.

Abroad, the consequences of the GOP victory are being noted in the context of Israel’s concerns. In Israel, Danny Danon, a hardliner in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party,expressed delight: “The huge influx of newly elected representatives and senators to Washington includes dozens of strong friends of Israel who will put the brakes on the consistently dubious, sometimes dangerous policies of President Obama these past two years.”
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s former ambassador to the United States, Prince Turki al-Faisal, slated to become Saudi foreign minister, warned in a speech in Washington following the election that he foresees a return of the “neo-conservative philosophy” and that the election “will give more fodder for these warmongers to pursue their favorite exercise, war-making.”
The Arab diplomat bluntly declared that “neo-con advisors, American conservatives and Zionist extremists” have promoted policies that “continually throw a wrench into the progress of peace.”
He said that “particularly in the Congress, the bipartisan support for Israel has been enormous; it’s not just Republicans. My concern is really with the people who speak up for a more aggressive type of policy, as espoused by neo-conservatives. They will interpret these elections as, if you like, a return to what they would consider to be their view on foreign policy in general and . . . particularly on the Middle East.”

As Road to Hope aid convoy prepare to sail again for Gaza before Rafah crossing closed, European campaign urges Egypt to facilitate entry of Hope aid to Gaza

BRUSSELS, (PIC)-- The European campaign to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip has appealed to the Egyptian concerned authorities to facilitate the entry of the European Hope aid convoy to the Gaza Strip before Eid Al-Adha.

The Brussels-based campaign appealed in a press release on Sunday to all concerned authorities including the Egyptian, Libyan, and Greek authorities to facilitate the entry of the humanitarian aid into Gaza, especially when it was stranded at the Libyan-Egyptian borders for a month.

It asked Cairo not to close the Rafah border terminal on the Eid holiday and allow entry of the convoy, pointing out that Gaza was in dire need of assistance carried by such aid convoys.

"The aim of the aid convoys is to help the besieged Palestinians and break the oppressive siege imposed on them for the fifth year running", the campaign said, adding that such an aim should be appreciated.

The Egyptian authorities announced that the Rafah border crossing with Gaza would be closed as of Monday till next Sunday throughout the Eid holiday, which meant that no aid would be allowed into the Strip during those days.

LONDON, (PIC)-- The European Road to Hope aid convoy destined for the besieged Gaza Strip is getting prepared to sail once again for the port of Al-Arish before the Egyptian authorities close the Rafah border crossing for six day as of next Monday.

A Libyan participant in the convoy said the activists stranded at the Egyptian-Libyan borders will take a new cargo ship called Nuweiba during the next few hours in an attempt to cross into Gaza with the aid after the previous ship they were aboard was hijacked by its own Greek captain who sailed it to Greece before he fled in a small boat.

Nine participants in the convoy and four Libyan customs officers, as well as a small part of the aid which was not unloaded at Libyan ports were still on board the ship when it was hijacked.

The Libyan officers are currently in their embassy in Greece and the nine activists, five Brits, two Americans, and two from Morocco and Algeria, will fly to Libya to join the other participants in the convoy before they sail together along with the aid for Al-Arish seaport.

105 multinational activists have stayed at the Egyptian-Libyan borders since October 25 waiting to be allowed into Egypt by land, but the Egyptian authorities insisted the aid convoy enter Gaza by sea, and what added insult to injury that the ship they were hired was hijacked and taken to Greece.

IOA started building 1260 settlement units since end of freeze - Israel’s Peace Now Movement Cites Settlement Building Frenzy

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) started building 1260 housing units in the West Bank settlements since the end of the freeze almost one month and a half ago, Israel's Peace Now movement said.

It added in a report on Sunday that the annual building average in settlements had reached 1600 housing units.

The movement urged Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu to freeze building in the West Bank.

For his part, Netanyahu held a session for his mini cabinet on Saturday evening to discuss a report on his talks in Washington and means of returning to peace talks with the Palestinians amidst reports of American incentives to freeze settlement and return to talks.

Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman had stated that there would be no return to settlement freeze "not for two months, not for one month".


14/11/2010 The Israeli cabinet debated a fresh 90-day ban on West Bank settlement construction on Sunday as a Peace Now report showed the settlers have been building new homes at a furious pace.

As ministers sat down to hear details of the far-ranging proposals laid out by Washington in exchange for a one-off moratorium, the Palestinians said they had not received any official word of the US offer to Israel.

The package involves a 90-day freeze, which would not cover construction in occupied east Jerusalem but would include all building begun since September 26 when the previous 10-month moratorium expired, a source close to the negotiations said.

It also includes a broad package of security offers, as well as a commitment to block any effort to force a political settlement on Israel.

Shortly before the cabinet sat down to discuss the offer, settlement watchdog Peace Now published a report showing that in the seven weeks since the end of the moratorium, Israeli settlers have started building 1,649 new homes -- more than making up for the 10-month ban.
"It turns out that the settlement freeze was no more than a 10-month delay in the construction and the settlers managed to fill in the gap very fast," Peace Now said.
"The government of Israel must renew the freeze in a way that will stop all settlement activity, including the projects that started in the last few weeks, until there is a final agreement between the Palestinians and Israel regarding the borders and the future of the settlements."

The US offer is the latest in a series of steps aimed at persuading Israel to impose a new freeze in a bid to salvage moribund peace talks with the Palestinians.
The talks, which began two months ago, shuddered to a halt over renewed settlement building following the end of the ban, with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas refusing to return to the table unless Israel committed itself to a new one.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has so far rejected any new freeze.

Abbas’s spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina told AFP the Palestinian Authority had approached US officials overnight for clarification but had not yet received an answer.
"The Palestinian Authority is waiting for an official answer from the US administration about the details and facts about what is going on with this issue," he said.

In recent weeks, the Palestinians have repeatedly threatened to approach the Security Council for recognition of an independent state in the event that peace talks fail.
But Israel has cautioned against any unilateral moves, saying the only way to “peace” is through a negotiated agreement -- a position backed by the United States.

The Palestinians see the settlements as a major threat to the establishment of a viable state, and they view the freezing of settlement activity as a crucial test of Israel's intentions.

One day before the massacre perpetrated by the forces of terrorism against worshipers in Our Lady of Salvation Catholic church in al-Karada neighborhood in Baghdad, a similar terrorist attack was carried out by Jewish settlers who burned the Baptist Church on the Prophets Street in occupied Jerusalem, after they burned a number of mosques and killed worshipers as part of their attempts to Judaize Palestine.

Zakaria al-Mashriqi, a leader in the church, said, “that right-wing Israeli settlers broke a number of windows of the two-storey church and hurled Molotov cocktails inside it completely burning the first floor”.

The church was built in Jerusalem in 1897, and housed the Palestinian Bible College until 1948, when parishioners were pushed out by Jewish armed gangs during the violence accompanying the creation of the state of Israel”.

This is not the only Israeli attack on churches and mosques in occupied Palestine. Killing worshipers is a common criminal practice terrorist Zionist groups have mastered for over seventy years in Palestine.

Baruch Goldstein opened fire on unarmed Palestinian Muslims praying inside the Ibrahim Mosque; and Zionists have made a statute for him at the entrance to Hebron. Such crimes usually pass by without any condemnation on the part of those who claim responsibility for preserving coexistence among peoples and defending religious freedom.

With the strongest possible condemnation of the horrible crime committed in Our Lady of Salvation Church, one cannot compare the reaction to crimes against churches in Iraq and those muted responses to crimes committed by terrorist Zionists against Christians and their churches in occupied Palestine: In the second case, reactions are almost non-existent.

I have not seen any media coverage or political condemnation of the crime committed by Jewish settlers against the Baptist Church in Jerusalem. There was not a single condemnation from an international, Western or legal organization anywhere in the world, which means that such crimes are justified and acceptable if the perpetrators were Jewish settlers, and condemned if committed by other terrorists.

This duplicity encourages the Zionist entity to persist in its crimes which aim at displacing Christians from Palestine and the East. As a result of the massacres and displacement perpetrated against millions of Palestinians since the 1940s, the number of Christians dropped to unprecedented levels despite fourteen centuries of tolerance and coexistence.

Israel’s destabilizing of Lebanon led to the 1975 civil war and the consequent violence which led to mass migration on the part of Christians from Lebanon. This is what has been happening in Iraq since 2003 where Western powers are destabilizing the country for objectives related to dominating the Middle East.

The crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians do not distinguish between Muslims and Christians: the martyrs and the prisoners are always Christians and Muslims. After days of burning the Baptist Church in Jerusalem, the settlers, protected by Israeli occupation troops, attacked the Prophet Yusuf tomb in Nablus. These Zionist crimes against Arab Christians became more ferocious since Bush’s war on Iraq and even more brutal since the publication of the recommendations of the Catholic Synod for the Christians of the East which condemned violence, terrorism and all forms of religious extremism, racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.

The Catholic Synod called on Christians to “adhere to their homeland,” stressing that “Christians are an essential component of the peoples of the region, and that they should be actively involved in the political, cultural and economic life of their countries in a context of mutual respect and continuous dialogue with people of other religions, particularly with their Muslim partners”.

Muslims, who have lived in tolerance with Christians and Jews for fourteen centuries, agree with this approach. Muslims even lived with and respected groups whose religions date back to pre-Judaism, and still live in Mesopotamia, like the Sabians who have enjoyed religious freedom and practiced their traditional occupations for thousands of years without ever being subjected to pressure, threat or aggression, except after the American occupation of Iraq. The same applies to Christians and churches in Iraq which have never been attacked since they were established, despite the political convulsions in this traumatized country. Israel is the only country which prevents Muslims from worshiping in their mosques on Fridays and religious occasions and prevents Christians from going to their churches. Yet, no one in the ‘free’ West, the defendant of human rights, dare condemn this brutal insult.

It can be asserted with certainty that Zionism is a danger, not only to unarmed Palestinian civilians whom it humiliates, imprisons and assassinates in front of the cameras of the ‘free’ world, but also to coexistence, tolerance and peace in the Middle East which has been, throughout history, a model of coexistence, tolerance and peace among followers of different religions and sects for thousands of years. Christ was born in Bethlehem in the ‘East’. Prophet Mohammad was transported from the Sacred Mosque in Mecca to the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Saint Paul embarked on his mission from Damascus carrying Christ’s message and spreading Christianity all over the world. Who are those who want to empty the East of its Christians in the same way they emptied it of Jews? Who are those who attack mosques and churches to sow conflict between Muslims and Christians, something that has never existed before the creation of Israel, which is not only usurping the holy land in Palestine, but usurping the spirit of historical and exceptional coexistence in the East.

On these grounds, confronting Zionist crimes in Palestine is the duty of all the free people of the world, not only in defense of coexistence in Palestine alone, but in defense of coexistence, tolerance and peace in the Middle East and the world at large, in the same way that killing innocent worshipers in the Lady of Our Salvation Church in Baghdad is a condemned terrorist act, every transgression against any holy place, Muslims or Christians, and worshipers, Muslim or Christian, is a terrorist act which should be condemned by the whole world.

Keeping silent towards to Israeli crimes has become a threat to the freedom, security and safety of people everywhere; so it is important to call for a correct reading of the link between the Baptist Church in the Prophets Street in Jerusalem, the Prophet Yusuf tomb in Nablus and the Lady of Our Salvation Church in Karada in Baghdad.
