FULL SHOW: China, US tensions soar, Washington does damage control

As tensions soar between the US and China, Washington seems to be doing damage control while also maintaining its offensive against Beijing. RT America’s Alex Mihailovich has the story. (14:26)

Another memorial service was held Thursday, for assassinated Haitian president Jovenel Moise, as more details continue to emerge about the alleged gunmen involved in the assassination-and their training at a US military school. RT America’s John Huddy has the latest. (1:05)

Then, Former UK MP George Galloway weighs in. (5:02)

Locked up for reporting the truth. That’s the fate that could be awaiting journalists—if a proposed law in the UK gets passed. Reporters and their sources could be treated like spies, and publishing government secrets would carry a maximum prison sentence of 14 years. RT’s Murad Gazdiev has the details. (10:12)

At least 33 people killed and another 250K evacuated from their homes after massive floods in central China, that are what said to be ‘the heaviest rains in a millennium.’ Freelance journalist Wang Mengjie has the story from the ground. (18:33)

Pegasus is Just the Tip of the Israeli Cyber Spying Iceberg, with Whitney Webb

July 23rd, 2021

Investigative journalist Whitney Webb joins MIntCast to discuss Pegasus, Toka, and the global Israeli cyberspying network.

Edward Snowden has called it “the story of the year.” An Israeli spying company has been caught selling software to authoritarian regimes that have used it to surveil more than 50,000 people worldwide.

That company is NSO, founded in 2010 by former members of Unit 8200, the Israeli military’s notorious intelligence squad. Their product is called Pegasus, and it was sold to military, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies in 40 countries, among them some of the world’s worst human rights abusing governments.

On this “MintCast,” investigative journalist Whitney Webb joins Mnar Adley today to discuss Pegasus, Toka, and the global Israeli cyberspying network. Whitney Webb is a writer and researcher for the outlets Unlimited Hangout and The Last American Vagabond. She principally covers intelligence, technology, surveillance, and civil liberties. Between 2017 and 2020, she was also a senior investigative reporter for MintPress. Her latest article, “Meet Toka, the Most Dangerous Israeli Spyware Firm You’ve Never Heard Of,” was published by MintPress earlier this week.

Pegasus is able to attack the cellphones of targeted individuals without them realizing it, monitoring and recording their calls, texts and accessing other information stored on their devices. Dozens of human rights activists, nearly 200 journalists, several Arab royals, and more than 600 politicians are known to have had their communications spied on and compromised. Among those include French President Emmanuel Macron, Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan and president of Iraq, Barham Salih.

Close associates of the Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi were also attacked and compromised just before his murder by Saudi operatives in 2018, strongly indicating that the information gleaned through Pegasus was crucial in this endeavor. NSO vehemently denied that their product was used in his assassination. Yet it also put out a statement insisting that it had no access to what its clients did with the software — two seemingly contradictory assertions.

The Pegasus story has made major waves in India, too, where it was revealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi had used it to spy on his political opponents in the run-up to the 2019 elections. The Indian Congress Party has accused the prime minister of committing treason. Also disclosed was that the government hacked the phone of a woman who accused the Chief Justice of India of raping her, a revelation undermining the entire justice system and the concept of a fair trial.

Yet a new MintPress News investigation asserts that Pegasus is merely the tip of the Israeli cyber spying iceberg and that another piece of software, Toka, is far more dangerous and outrageous. Toka markets itself as “a one-stop hacking shop for governments that require extra capability to fight terrorists and other threats to national security in the digital domain.” The company’s software is designed to infiltrate any device connected to the internet, not just smartphones.

Toka is a product of the Israeli national security state, having been co-founded by former prime minister, Ehud Barak, and was also designed by members of Unit 8200, leading Webb to suggest that it is a front for the Israeli government.

Many interesting developments in Russia

THE SAKER • JULY 20, 2021

Su-75 “Checkmate”

The past week has been quite intense in Russia – lots of interesting developments took place, and today I will mention three:

  1. Putin wrote a very interesting essay on the history of Russia and the Ukraine, which he followed up with a very interesting interview.
  2. Russia just concluded final tests for truly formidable weapons systems like the S-500 and the Mach 8 hypersonic missile Zircon.
  3. In its yearly aviation salon MAKS, Russia has just presented a 5th generation, single engine light multi-functional fighter the Su-75 “Checkmate”

These are all truly huge developments for Russia which we need to look into separately.

Putin’s history of Russia and the Ukraine

First, I highly recommend that you take the time to read the full article here and the full interview here (there is no point for me to use the space here to pepper you with excerpts), especially if you are not well-acquainted with Russian history or live in Zone A. Furthermore, being the “Putin groupie and fanboy” which I so-notoriously am (guilty as charged!), I won’t surprise anybody by saying that I agree with almost every word Putin wrote or spoke. And, frankly, all the facts Putin lists are really common knowledge for most people (unless they have been brainwashed by US/Ukronazi propaganda) and there is really no point for me to repeat “yes, this is true” and “yes, he is right” over and over again.

So all I propose to do next is to just to add a few comments of mine about this article+interview (I will assume that readers will have read them both; if not, I suggest completely skipping this section),

  1. First, as I just said, there is absolutely nothing new in this article for educated people. But that is not Putin’s target audience anyway. Putin’s target audience are the younger generations (in the Ukraine, the West and even, alas, Russia proper!) who know very little, if anything, about history. And while this is also true of Russia, this is especially true in the Ukraine where people have been massively brainwashed since 1917 (as Putin explains this very well in his article).
  2. The real reason why this article caused such a stir in Russia and total hysterics amongst the Ukronazi nutcases (who, again, are now predicting an imminent Russian invasion, what else?) is that while these facts were known for decades, but considered very politically incorrect to mention them lest the Ukrainians get offended: from the late 80s and until now, the Ukronazis taught a very different version of history, which includes coming from the Sumerian civilization, building the pyramids in Egypt, digging the Black Sea, founding the ancient Aryan civilization, etc. Even more crucially, the official Ukronazi narrative claims that Russians and Ukrainians are completely different people (Ukies are true, pure, Aryans while Russians are Ugro-Altaic Mongols). So what Putin did with this article is simply to (finally!) proclaim that the emperor is naked and the clueless Ukies ignorant of their own history.
  3. This article also marks a rather dramatic change of tone from the Kremlin. In the past the Kremlin always tried to maintain a polite and respectful attitude towards the Ukies and their Wakanda-like delusions about history. Now this is over, Russia has finally and openly decided to declare to the Ukies (and the rest of the world!) that their founding myths are based on precious *nothing* and that Russia is done treating this utter nonsense as if it has any factual basis in the adult world.

I would like to offer one more commentary on Putin’s statements.

I believe that there has been a “war of words” waged by the Ukrainian nationalists against the Russians for many decades (I remember listening to the Ukie service of RL/RFE and I was always amazed at the completely open hatred – bordering on racist bigotry – of the Ukie propaganda; even when compared to all the other national minority services of RL/RFE which, I assure you, included a lot of bone fide nutcases in many of its services) and the Russian side was mostly quiet and demure lest the Ukies get offended. That is now over, in this war of words Russia will now use her verbal ammunition to debunk the Ukronazi pseudo-historical fairy tales. I very much welcome that!

Finally, I believe that the Kremlin is already working on “post-Ze” options. Frankly, this also comes not a second too soon! The Ukraine has been in free fall for years already, but even by Ukie standards the chaos and tensions which are taking place now have grown into full scale hysterics which is both truly amazing and very concerning (I will spare you all the details now, I have enough such articles already posted, but I will probably have to revisit this slow agony in the near future). I get the feeling that the Kremlin expects a truly bona fide Nazis leader to come to power by one way or another after “Ze” (Note: while “Ze” did end up catering to the Ukronazis, he himself is most definitely not “the real thing” – he only pretends). Maybe a “President Avakov” next (no Nazi either, by the way, just a man very skilled at using Nazis)?

The bottom line is this: the final collapse of the Ukraine is what the Kremlin is now openly waiting for next. And even if “Biden” wants to force “Ze” to abide by the Minsk Agreements, this will mean the end for “Ze” and a return to full/total power of the Ukronazis. Why? There are roughly three forces in the Ukraine right now, at least apparently:

  1. The regime in power (“Ze” and his gang)
  2. The opposition (mostly the OPZZh party)
  3. The real hardcore Nazis (you can think of them as the Ukie version of the Hutu “Interahamwe” in Rwanda

The regime is in deep agony and simply not viable.

The opposition is divided, often politically discredited and lacks both a clear leader and a clear vision.

In sharp contrast, the Ukronazis gang is small, but very well organized, very well funded and very well led (most of the “street level” Ukronazi leaders are imbeciles like Liashko or, better, Tiagnibok, but Avakov is no idiot, he is good at working with his US patrons and with the truly crazy folks like Andrei Biletskii or Aleksei Danilov.

True, in the long term the political prospects of the opposition look pretty good, as they have a few (very few?) pretty sharp leaders, and their program recommends better relations with Russia, something truly vital (literally!) for the Ukraine. But I don’t see the opposition having the strength to take on the Ukronazis just yet: first “Ze” needs to go, the Ukronazis need to seize full control of power again, and then come up with some truly crazy shit (that all Nazis are good for, as history has shown) which will break-up the Ukraine into various successor states. Only at that point will the current opposition have good political chances in the eastern and southern parts of the Ukraine. But the current situation is too complex and too fluid to take anybody’s guesses and predictions too seriously. Only time will truly show.

The S-500 and Zircon weapons systems have now been fully tested

The quick way to summarize this development is to say that both the S-500 and the Zircon have no comparable competitors anywhere in the world, not even vaguely comparable ones. Both the S-500 and the Zircon missiles are way, waaaay ahead of any other weapons system in their categories. Even better, the Empire has nothing, and really I mean absolutely nothing, it could oppose to either one of these weapons systems. And with not too much hyperbole, it would be fair to say that, once fully deployed, the S-500 will make most of the US/NATO aviation and tactical/operational and even some strategic missiles completely obsolete. As for the Zircon, it does the same thing to the USN’s surface fleet. To say that this is huge would be an understatement, especially since US/NATO force planners must now decide what to do about this, and that is no small task considering that is now becoming obvious that US/NATO force planners made some truly major mistakes in their assumptions about what the modern 21st century battlefield will really look like. Force planning deals with many immense technological and bureaucratic inertia and to “simply change course” is not “simple” at all: it typically takes decades!

I have no doubt that the US MIC propaganda machine will now talk a lot about US ‘hypersonic’ weapons and about 6th generation super-dooper aircraft. But let’s be honest here: the US hypersonic weapons program is in its infancy (at best) and is struggling. As for the USAF, it will take it many years to at least reduce the long list of major problems of the F-35, and even that is not a real solution: while I am sure that, given enough time, the USAF/USN will find a way to use this aircraft effectively (at least against non-peer adversaries), the only real solution to this ugly mess is to not only quickly revive the F-15 (in its F-15X form, which looks promising), but also to embark on the development of a 5++ generation aircraft while at the same time working on a real, truly 6th gen, successor (in the good sense of the word) for the F-35. This being said, if the F-35 proves anything, it is that the Pentagon and the US MIC are corrupt beyond what any words could express (from a purely corruption point of view the F-35 was a stunning success!) and this begs the question: can these guys even develop a halfway decent or even a good aircraft?! Or has the country which developed the superb F-16, A-10. 747 or the F-15 lost its ability to produce truly superb aircraft? I don’t know.

What do you think?

The brand new 5th generation single-engine Su-75 “Checkmate”

This is really THE news of the day! This is nothing short of earth-shattering. Let’s begin with a list of factoids I tried to collect from different sources: (since all this info was only unveiled a few hours ago, there might still be mistakes, so caveat emptor!)

  • Name: Sukhoi Su-75 “Checkmate”
  • High commonality with Su-57
  • Single engine (crucial!)
  • Top speed 2400 km/h (about 1500mph or 1300 knots or just under Mach 2)
  • Thrust vectoring engines
  • 30M dollars typical cost
  • 5,5 years development only (using supercomputers)
  • 1500km combat range
  • STOL (shorter than Su-57’s about 400m)
  • Max load: 7.5 tons
  • Service Ceiling just under 17km
  • Max load: 8+ G
  • Ferry range 3000km+ (on internal fuel)
  • Low RCS
  • Advanced avionics and all glass cockpit
  • The Belka N036 AFAR antenna with a detection range of 350-400km
  • Long, medium and short range weapons for any targets
  • Can engage 6 targets (in air, land, water and air defenses) simultaneously
  • Will feature the long-range 30P6 air to air missile (range: about 160km)
  • AI support and guidance
  • Five air-to-air missiles carried internally
  • Onboard advanced EW defenses
  • The Su-75 has a cannon carried inside its internal sections
  • There will be a pilotless version of the Su-75 (automated and remote-controlled)
  • The Su-75 has advanced datalinks allowing it to operate together with other aircraft or drones
  • Supercruise (not sure? Probably only in a future engine)
  • The aircraft is “open architecture” (so it can be adapted to specific needs)
  • Sukhoi expects to sell about 300 Su-75 in the next 15 years or so
  • The Su-75 can be adapted for naval carrier use
  • The target clients are the both the RAF and foreign clients (but only export versions for foreign clients).
  • Its first flight is scheduled for 2023 and adoption by the RAF is, assuming a contract is confirmed, set for 2025.
  • Price: 25-30 million dollars depending on specific requirements

What do I make of these characteristics? Here are some of my thoughts (keep in mind that while I did some work with the Swiss Air Force, I am not an aerospace engineer, so take all I say with at least a pound or two of salt and wait for real experts to pitch in!).

First, this is a much needed aircraft for Russia which currently does not have modern single engine combat aircraft. Currently, the “core” aircraft of the (RAF) are all big twin engines: Su-30SM, Su-35, Su-34, .etc. Even the much smaller “F-16 counterpart” has two engines. Even the (comparatively) smaller MiG-35 is a twin engine. These are all superb aircraft, but a single-engine aircraft would be much cheaper, not only to purchase, but even more so to maintain.

Second, Russia’s main weakness when compared to the US/NATO is primarily quantitative: while they are much inferior, US/NATO aircraft are produced in huge numbers the Russian industrial base and finances cannot match, at least not by producing very advanced but also very expensive aircraft a la Su-35S. The RAF needs many cheap but highly effective combat aircraft and the Su-75 might well be “the” dream machine for Russia.

Third, a single-engine 5th generation aircraft for about 30 million dollars is an extremely attractive option, especially with its open architecture. Especially when its only competitor is the truly pathetic F-35 (which is really not much of a 5th gen aircraft, at least for the foreseeable future (especially since it has fundamentally flawed core-design issues, read all about it here).

By the way, the Russians are officially denying that they wanted to make a “Russian response” to the F-35. They say that the F-35 and the Su-75 are in completely different categories and when you look at such parameters are speed, maneuverability, max load or, especially, price, you can see that the Russians are fundamentally correct: it’s not “just” that the Su-75 is a much superior aircraft, it is really in a completely different “punching weight” category.

Fourth, just like a truly effective air defense system requires different weapons systems all integrated into a single network and working together, so does tactical/operational aviation. These are the main categories the RAF needs to fill: CAS aircraft (Su-25M), strike aircraft (Su-24M and Su-34), air superiority and interceptors (Su-30SM, Su-35S), advanced long-range interceptors (MiG-31BM) and a cheap, ubiquitous and very capable “dogfighter” for the frontline aviation which can deal with enemy aircraft while also supporting the ground forces. Russian did built some very good single fighters in the past, including the MiG-23 (criticized in the West, but loved by Russian pilots) and, arguably, the most successful fighter ever built, the MiG-21. So Russians know how to do that, they just have not done that in way too many years and the appearance of the Su-75 comes “not a second too late” for the Russian military which will finally have a truly “full-spectrum” of modern, indigenously built, combat aircraft.

Here is a good image showing how similar the Su-75 and Su-57 are externally:

There were some speculations that the Russians were working on a successor for their Yak-141 VSTOL combat aircraft (which the US Americans tried to copy as a basis for their F-35 and miserably failed), but the Russians have appeared to be content with “only” STOL capabilities. Considering the catastrophic failure of the F-35B (and the non-deployment of the Yak-141) might be the wiser choice. If the Su-75 ever makes it on a carrier of some kind, short catapult-assisted take-offs is probably the wiser solution.

One last thing: for the first time in decades the Russians have (finally!) managed to keep things really hush-hush and there were almost zero leaks about the Su-75, and most of those which did happen were carefully orchestrated by the Russian authorities. I am not talking about the mass media like Argumenty i Fakty or Popular Mechanics. Even the specialized press had only a few good guesses about what this “soon to be unveiled and totally new 5th gen fighter” would look like. There were a few partial photos, some drawings, a few partial photos, all augmented by educated guesses. Not only that, but there is still a lot we don’t know, including on some really important topics like the Su-75 radar and longest range air-to-air missiles.

Conclusion:

This has been a long and important week for Russia which, I think, illustrates a few important things:

  • The Russians have clearly lost lost their very last illusions about the Nazi-occupied Ukraine and are now actively preparing the “post-Ze” period.
  • Putin feels the popular pressure and is embarking on a PR campaign in preparation for the next elections.
  • The Russian MIC is doing better than ever and the recent Russian high-tech successes show that Russia has gone into what they call a “high-quality separation” (качественный отрыв) from the West or Asia.

All in all, this is all good news.

July War Diary: Hezbollah Fighters Turn Lebanese Towns into Graveyard for Israeli Invaders

Visual search query image

In the tenth day of July War in 2006, the Israeli enemy went crazy with its air strikes and bombardment of Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Resistance fighters’ heroic confrontations with the occupation soldiers in the southern border towns made it clear to the invaders that “this land is forbidden to you”.

The Israeli warplanes in that day (Friday, July 21, 2006) launched more than seventeen air strikes on Baalbeck city, killing or injuring dozens of Lebanese civilians. The strikes also destroyed Mudeirej Bridge which links Beirut to Bekaa.

More than 100 strikes were also launched on the southern city of Tyre, with Israeli warplanes dropping leaflets there, calling on residents to evacuate the area.

The Israeli air strikes, meanwhile, targeted several schools that hosted displaced Lebanese in Bint Jbeil (south Lebanon) and in Baalbeck (Bekaa).

Strikes on the southern city of Nabatieh and Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh) also did not stop, with more residential areas were targeted.

Israeli artillery also fired internationally-banned cluster bombs at several Lebanese towns in the south, including Maroun Al-Ras, Khiyam, Aitaroun, Qulaiaat, Ebl Sukei and Houla.

For its part, Hezbollah kept the rocket fire at occupied territories, with missiles pounding Israeli cities of Safad, Haifa, Nahariya and Taberias, as well as settlements of Upper Galilee, Lower Galilee and Kiryat Shmona.

A Raad-2 rocket hit the Israeli city of Haifa, killing or injuring 30 Israelis.

Also on Thursday (July 21, 2006), the Israeli soldiers repeated attempts to make a ground incursion in the southern border towns. Israeli media reported that at least 300 and 500 Israeli soldiers backed by 30 tanks were already believed to be over the border. However, Resistance fighters were closely monitoring the invaders. Hezbollah fighters who were positioned in the border town of Maroun Al-Ras repelled the Israeli infiltration. Several Israeli soldiers were killed and at least three Merkava tanks were destroyed, with the occupation military acknowledging that 7 soldiers were killed. The Israeli army usually minimizes its military losses.

On the political level, it was clear that the United States was opposing a cessation of hostilities, in a bid to make more pressure on Hezbollah. Then US Secretary of State Condaleezza Rice made her well-known stance, describing the war on Lebanon as a part of the “birth pangs of a new Middle East”.

Then US Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, also defended the Israeli war, wondering about the futility of “holding talks on ceasefire with a terrorist organization”.

For his part, then Lebanese President Emile Lahoud said that the Israeli war on Lebanon was planned before the Resistance operation in which it captured Israeli soldiers, noting that the Zionist regime took Hezbollah’s border operation a pretext to launch its military campaign against Lebanon.

Brazilians March to Demand Bolsonaro’s Impeachment

Demonstrators in several Brazilian cities demand the impeachment of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro for alleged corruption and Covid mismanagement.

Protests sparked by Bolsonaro’s handling of Covid-19

Tens of thousands of Brazilian protestors took to the streets in several Brazilian cities on Saturday to demand Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s impeachment, as the pandemic exacts a disturbing toll, according to AFP.

It was the fourth weekend of anti-Bolsonaro protests organized by leftist political parties, labor unions, and social groups. Bolsonaro is being investigated in the senate, which is probing the possibility of corruption tied to the purchase of coronavirus vaccine.

In Rio de Janeiro, thousands of Brazilians dressed in red and wearing face masks marched with banners bearing slogans such as “No one can take any more” and “Get out corrupt criminal.”

Organizers called for nationwide protests “in defense of democracy and the lives of Brazilians and the removal of Bolsonaro” from power.

In the afternoon, the local press reported that demonstrations took place in 20 out of 26 Brazilian states.

Furthermore, it is suspected that the Brazilian president ignored corruption suspicions raised by a Ministry of Health employee. When this employee testified before a Senate investigation committee, he stated that he was subjected to “extraordinary pressure” to approve the import of inflated doses of the Indian “Cofaxin” vaccine.

The Brazilian Public Prosecutor’s Office publicized the start of a preliminary investigation into the charges leveled against the president by three senators, who accused him of “breaching his duties” in this case.

Bolsonaro, who took office in 2019, denied all allegations of government corruption and condemned the parliamentary investigation, calling it a political “movement” aimed at forcing him to resign.

The Brazilian President’s approval rating has fallen to 24%, and opinion polls suggest he will lose the presidential election in October to former leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of the Labor Party, who supported Saturday’s protests.

On June 30, the opposition filed a complaint outlining 20 different charges for the president’s impeachment, but Bolsonaro still has enough support in Congress to prevent such moves.

Israeli Media: Possible Diplomatic Crisis Between “Israel”, UAE

23 Jul 21

By Al Mayadeen

The possibility of “Israel” canceling the oil agreement with the UAE may cause a diplomatic crisis affecting relations between the two parties.

Eurasian pipeline project will transport oil from the Gulf to Europe.

Israeli “Channel 13” added that “the agreement to transfer oil through Israel, signed between them and the ‘CTSA’ company, will be reexamined following the Minister of Environmental Protection Tamar Zandberg’s request.”

It highlighted that recent news on the issue “recently surprised the UAE and sent anxious and firm messages to Israel.”

Today, Friday, Haaretz newspaper reported that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid are reconsidering an agreement “Israel” signed with the UAE to “transfer Gulf oil to Europe via Israel.”

The newspaper revealed that a meeting would be held in the coming weeks to discuss the issue, with specialists from the Bureau of the Israeli Prime Minister and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Energy, Justice, and Environmental Protection. After that, the ministers responsible for the issue will meet to conclude the government’s position.

Israeli Energy Minister Karen Al-Harr stated in a meeting this week that her ministry believes that the agreement signed by “the Eurasian Pipeline Company does not benefit the Israelis.”

“The Ministry of Energy’s position on the issue is that we do not see any benefits to the Israeli economy from this agreement,” Haaretz quoted Al-Harr.

Israeli sources discussed the risks of a diplomatic crisis between the UAE and “Israel” if the latter cancels the agreement regarding the shipment of crude oil and oil products coming from the Emirates.

An investigation by the “Globes” newspaper reported earlier that none of the economic projects agreed upon between “Israel” and the UAE, following the normalization agreement between them about a year ago, “have yet entered into force.”

“Taliban” Spokesman Mohammed Naeem

“Washington and Kabul have accepted an agreement that provides for a new Islamic order,” Taliban Spokesman Mohammad Naeem said on Saturday evening.

In an interview with Al-Mayadeen, Naeem stressed that “The Afghan regime must be Islamic, but how will be left to dialogue.”

Naeem addressed the US raids, and considered them “an explicit violation of the agreements concluded with us,” stressing that they “do not change anything and represent support for the Kabul administration.”

He considered that “The occupation stands with the Kabul administration, which it brought, and the raids support it,” noting that “from the beginning, we have seen that the best solution comes through dialogue.”

The Taliban spokesman asked, “We agreed on a plan in Doha, so how can we proceed if there is no commitment to it?

He noted that “there is no escalation in operations and areas that voluntarily joined the Taliban.” “We have relations and contacts with countries in the world and the region, especially neighboring countries,” he stressed.

Earlier in the day, the Taliban said that the government of Ashraf Ghani bears responsibility for any military transformation in Afghanistan.

The movement considered that the US raids on “the sites of Helmand and Kandahar are a violation of the agreement with Washington,” saying that “It will not pass without consequences.”

Three More Civilians Killed in the Al Hol Concentration Camp in Hasakah

Al Hol concentration camp for displaced Syrians - Hasakah, Syria

Three civilians were murdered in the infamous Al Hol (Al Hawl) concentration camp in the northeastern Syrian province of Hasakah, the camp holds thousands of Syrians in an open prison in miserable conditions and is run by the US-sponsored Kurdish SDF separatist terrorists.

Local sources reporting on this latest crime said that a woman and two men were killed using a gun with a silencer in the camp, the victims were not immediately identified nor the killer, no party declared responsibility for the crime.

Not only the living conditions in this concentration camp are beyond horrific and inhumane, not only thousands of families are held against their will and are kept near the families and individuals of the ISIS terrorist group in the same camp, but the security situation in the camp is also loose and crimes are never investigated properly as if the human lives there has no meaning.

International organizations which are always very loudly critical against the Syrian state for any claim by any individual from the opposition remain completely mute toward the suffering of thousands of families in concentration camps run by terrorists under the direct protection of the US army which itself is illegally deployed in Syria to steal the Syrian oil as their former commander in chief Trump who authorized their mission stated more than once.

The USA rejects calls to allow the Syrian citizens to return to their homes from the concentration camps in Al Hol which is run by the Kurdish SDF separatist terrorist in the northeast of Syria and the Rukban concentration camp which the living conditions in are even worse than Al Hol and it’s located on the joint Syrian – Iraqi – Jordanian borders in the depth of the desert and is run by an ISIS affiliate terrorist group under the protection of the US troops in At Tanf area.

The repeated crimes against the Syrian people averaging around 10 each month, the spread of diseases due to the lack of clean running water and proper hygiene, the locking up of people against their will in open prisons with hundreds of children among them, and the blackmailing of the Syrian state in exchange for the freedom of these people are all features of the ‘America is Back’ slogan raised by the demented long-serving Biden and his junta.

A 17-year-old Palestinian boy, Muhammad Mounir Tamimi, was martyred after he was brutally shot in his stomach by Israeli occupation forces during confrontations in the town of Nabi Salih in the West Bank on Friday afternoon.

The Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Nabi Salih. Simultaneously, Palestinians confronted the Israeli occupation, protesting against the expansion of a nearby Israeli settlement.

Meanwhile, more than 320 Palestinians were hurt in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces, including nine by live fire, in the West Bank village of Beita and the village of Osrin, Nablus district, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Furthermore, medics reported Israeli violations against medical staff, including two incidents where ambulances were directly attacked by the Israeli occupation forces.

The Israeli occupation forces said two soldiers were “lightly injured” in the confrontations.

During the last few days, Tens of Palestinian youths confronted the Israeli occupation forces, as the “night confusion” activities were resumed in the “Givat Eviatar” outpost on Jabal Sbeih in the town of Beita, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian youths and Beita residents continue their “night confusion” activities to confront the settlers’ attempt to seize the lands of Jabal Sbeih and establish a new outpost on the top of the mountain.

In the meantime, a periodic report prepared by the “Hamas” media department in the West Bank detected 748 various acts of resistance against the occupation and its settlers during last June, during which Nablus witnessed 26 “night confusion” activities against the occupation forces and settlers.

Jabal Sbeih is the center of a wide range of “night confusion” activities carried out by Palestinians, extending until late at night.

For over two and a half months, Beita has been witnessing daily confrontations in the Jabal Sbeih area between the occupation soldiers and Palestinian youths.

Cleric politician calls on Raisi to follow long-term strategic ties with neighbors

Cleric politician calls on Raisi to follow long-term strategic ties with neighbors. A member of the Expediency Council has called on the incoming administration of Ebrahim Raisi to establish long-term strategic ties with neighbors and countries which are not influenced by the United States’ anti-Iran position.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Cleric politician calls on Raisi to follow long-term strategic ties with neighbors. A member of the Expediency Council has called on the incoming administration of Ebrahim Raisi to establish long-term strategic ties with neighbors and countries which are not influenced by the United States’ anti-Iran position.

Gholamreza Mesbahi Moqaddam also said “the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is set by the Supreme National Security Council” and the president is chairman of the council and a change in government will not lead to a shift in foreign policy.

“Of Course,” the cleric politician remarked, “approaches are different. Certain approaches are resistant in the face of global arrogance and some are flexible.”

On his prediction of the foreign policy of the Raisi government, he told IRNA,  “My prediction of the approach of the government of Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi is resistance against global arrogance.”

Noting that a “balanced approach” and not a cut of ties with countries is favorable, Mesbahi Moqaddam said such an approach has presented Iran to the world as an independent country which acts based on its interests.

The Expediency Council member also said his prediction is that the United States will not lift all sanctions against Iran even if the 2015 nuclear deal is revived.

The Americans will not lift all sanctions because they consider sanctions as a “pressure tool” to follow their policies against Iran, noted the cleric politician.

Iran and the remaining parties to the nuclear deal, officially called the JCPOA, have been holding sixth round of talks. The last round ended on June 20.

The U.S. is participating in the talks indirectly. Iran has said it will not talk directly to the U.S. until Washington rejoins the agreement and recommit itself to the legally binding agreement.

Iran’s chief negotiator Abbas Araqchi has said the next Iranian government will continue the talks.

“It is clear that the Vienna talks must wait for a new administration in Iran. This is a requirement of any democracy,” Araqchi tweeted on July 17.

He added, “We are in a period of transition and a democratic transfer of power is taking place in Tehran.”

Raisi will be sworn in as president on August 5.

There is still no official word about Raisi’s choice for the post of foreign minister and his foreign policy team.

Israeli Reserve Forces Major Danny Citrinowicz believes that the military solution cannot succeed in light of Hezbollah’s growing power.

Citrinowicz: Only exploiting the internal situation in Lebanon can erode Hezbollah’s military status.

Israeli Reserve Forces Major Danny Citrinowicz published an article on Israeli website Zman, wherein he said that Hezbollah’s precision missiles are “further proof of the failure deterrence against” it.

He added that the solution to Hezbollah’s increasing power lies in “the ability of the international community and ‘Israel’ to take advantage of the unprecedented internal crisis in Lebanon to fatally damage the organization’s status.”

“Israel believes that this is a strategic threat that may justify a preventive war in the future in order to remove the threat,” according to Citrinowicz.

He relayed a discussion with a senior official, who stated “the most troubling issue for ‘Israel’ is” Hezbollah’s stockpiling of precision missiles, which have an error margin of only ten meters, calling it a “strategic threat that may justify a preventive war in the future.”

The Reserve Force Major adds that “one understands that in practice,” “Israel accepted, despite the warnings and despite the threats and despite the revelations, the existence of a ‘precision-missile factory’ in Lebanon as a fait accompli,” before moving on to ask “how many missiles does Hezbollah need to arm itself in order to become a critical mass that will ostensibly lead ‘Israel’ to attack Lebanon?”

One of the new realities of the post-2006 war, that “Israel” had to contend with, according to Citrinowicz, was Israeli “reluctance to operate in Lebanon,” because “Israel” knows “that any attack on Hezbollah’s precision-missile infrastructure in Lebanon” will immediately lead to a Hezbollah retaliation that could devolve into “a very difficult war.”

He estimates, according to statements made by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, that “Hezbollah today holds hundreds” of precision missiles, and in a war, it “does not need more than a few dozen” precision missiles “to inflict unprecedented damage to Israel.”

The major added that the “solution” to Hezbollah’s possession of precision missiles no longer lies in military threats, but “in the ability of the international community and ‘Israel’ to take advantage of the unprecedented internal crisis in Lebanon in order to succeed in fatally damaging the organization’s status (or force it to take over Lebanon and pay a very high price).”
