The Turkish limited intervention plan

Nidal Hamada
Informed circles in Damascus news talk about a limited Turkish limited military intervention plan  on the border between Turkey and Syria, in particular in border regions near Idlib governorate.

According to the source Russia informed Syria that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed to the plan in principle.

Details of this plan as developed by America and charted features based on the outbreak of popular movements and disturbances in some regions of idleb province near the Syrian border with Turkey or nearby, followed by interference by the Syrian police and security forces. Under the guise of protecting civilians Syrians the Turkish army would inervene in Syrian territory to create a buffer zone on the border between the two countries and use it as a base for miltary action against the regime, as happened with the Libyan city of Benghazi, which became a model for the Western for some Arab countries.

Sources in Damascus also told us that the plan military intervention shall be accompanied by Arab and Western media coverage showing rapid progress of the Turkish army with incitement to create unrest in various parts of Syria, in order to change th regime. The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed in principle to the plan waiting the suitable opportunity that did not come, because of  Iranian threats and popular Syrian movements supporting the regime, and miltitary movements refecting the Syrian leadership decision to confront the plan at any cost price.

Tehran intervened on two fronts but with different tones, but with the same content. Tehran directly informed UAE that Syria is Red line, crossing it will lead to a conflagration throughout the Gulf region. The UAE was the first to convey the Arab/west demands and conditions to President Bashar Al-Assad for ending disorders in Syria. A similar message was sent to the United States across international and Islamic diplomatic channels..

The Iranian diplomacy moved towards Turkey with more diplomatic tone, but with the same contents. A Special Envoy envoy of Iranian President transfered a message to Erdogan saying that the last has popular echo well in Iran, and Iranian leadership consider hin as part of it, not only as Prime Minister of Turkey, and Iran is convinced that the Turkish-Iranian cooperation within the Islamic world will lead to progress and safety, but the Turkish leadership should note that acceptance of American presure and using pressure for us military bases in Turkey to attack Syria would lead to attacking the USA military bases in Turkey by Iranian rockets. Erdugan responded saying that he shall not accept any pressure Turkey and there is no such thing in Turkish accounts.

On the Syrian side, Sunday June 5 was a turning point. The Syrian leadership chosed the confrontation option starting with occupied Golan front, where the Zionist entity lost temper and gave guidance to Israeli soldiers to kill. . However, the Syrian letter had been received from the Syrian side.

On the following day, Syria declared for the first time that the Syrian army units will be sent to halt the unrest, this time on the border with Turkey. The decleration was a clear message to Turkey that the two months of Turkish threats monthly sermons Syria has ended, and that the Syrian army will intervene on your borders and forcefully, whatever the results.

The Turkish tone softened with the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Daoud oglu confirming that   the Syrian Government is legitimate as his Government. apart from the remarks and terms used over the past two months.
