Advisor to Turkish President: Syrian-Turkish Relations Firm, Solid

Jun 23, 2011
AMMAN, (SANA)-Turkish Presidential Advisor Ersat Hurmuzlu described the Syrian-Turkish relations as firm, solid, and unaffected by events.

In statements recorded during an e-symposium organized by the Paris-based Euro-Arab Center for Studies, Hurmuzlu said Syria represents a historical, strategic, cultural and religious depth to Turkey.
He saw that Turkey does not dictate to others what to do, but is ready to share its experience with them.

''The power of Turkey and part of the region's power, that's why we care that the countries of the region be strong and independent and meet the aspirations of their own peoples,'' said Hurmuzlu.
