Parasites of US Politics

Source

The Jewish lobby has, over the many years since WWII, kept a firm finger in every American pie. From banking to mortgages, from industry to defense to foreign policy and now even the US intelligence community seems unable to function without the Jewish lobby's say so.

What can only be described as a frenzied pro-Israel lobby campaign has managed to do Charles "Chas" Freeman out of prospects to lead the National Intelligence Commission (NIC). Freeman, a State Department official with an enviable 44-year record in the US diplomatic service, has been forced to withdraw his nomination to head the NIC.

The US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the 1990-1991 Persian Gulf War was nominated for the job by Director of National Intelligence, Admiral Dennis Blair. Blair had said Freeman would bring with him to the post "a wealth of knowledge and expertise in defense, diplomacy and intelligence.".

NIC is the government agency that works with the US intelligence community to compile national intelligence estimates.

Two Jewish Democrats from New York, Senator Charles Schumer and Representative Steve Israel along with Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman, was all it took to deprive the US of a voice of reason in the Middle East. They accused Freeman of making "over the top" statements against "Israel".

Freeman's "over-the-top" statements turned out to be personal views expressed after years at the helm in the Middle East. Freeman says "as long as the United States continues unconditionally to provide the subsidies and political protection that make the Israeli occupation and the high-handed and self-defeating policies it engenders possible, there is little, if any, reason to hope that anything resembling the former peace process can be resurrected."

To put it another way, in the self proclaimed land of freedom a seasoned US politician cannot even afford to mirror the UN's verdicts without first seeking Israel-lobby approval.

Freeman has been cut out of the action over voicing other personal views that closely resemble UN Security Council resolutions. And Chas Freeman even dared to align himself with a recent UN vote condemning violence against civilians; that mainly meant Palestinian civilians.

President Obama has backed away terrified and his officials have followed suit in what is fast becoming a trademark of his presidential tenure. So far, the US President has shown none of the leadership qualities so expected of him.

The AIG fiasco of swindling the US tax payer's money to make top executive bonus payouts instead of using the Federal assistance money to reduce toxic assets burden is another indicator of Obama's naivety and weakness as a US leader.

However Obama, as the first African-American US President cannot allow his presidential term to symbolize the demise of the political independence of the US.

Parasitic lobbies are sucking the lifeblood from the US democratic processes with institution after institution originally conceived to safeguard human dignity, drained and discarded.
The recent scandalous events in Washington take some back to an Ariel Sharon boast -made a few years back- when he claimed that Israel controlled "everything" in the White House.
