10/06/2009 Lebanon's military prosecutor charged 10 more suspects on Wednesday with spying for the Israeli enemy, continuing a crackdown on spy rings that has now seen a total of 68 people charged.

"They are accused of collaborating with the Israeli enemy for money and giving it information about civilian and military outposts," a judicial official said.

Of the ten people charged, there are ten already detained ones including Egyptian Mohamad Sayyed Radwan as well as Fawzi, Said, Youssef and Elie al-Alam. They are charged with providing the Israeli enemy with information on regions, sites and Hezbollah personalities to facilitate its aggressive acts.

According to press information, two spies out of the ten arrested, Fawzi and Said al-Alam, were charged with supervising and observing the moves of Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea in Mearab and the Cedars.

Forty of those charged are currently in custody, including a retired general and a policeman. Those detained are 37 Lebanese citizens, two Palestinians and an Egyptian.

Meanwhile, security forces arrested the two sisters Josephine and Georgette Mussa while leaving Beirut airport after confiscating Israeli passports with them.

Following preliminary investigations with Josephine (67 years) and Georgette (69 years), security forces found out that the two sisters entered Lebanon through Lebanese passports a few days ahead of the elections.

Moreover, Georgette confessed of taking part in the electoral process in one of Beirut three districts. But Josephine, who carries an American passport in addition to her Israeli and Lebanese ones, denied participating in the voting process.

The two ladies were then transferred to the Intelligence branch within the Internal Security Forces to continue investigations with them, especially that their passports showed that they are still living in the Palestinian occupied territories.
