  • The "Arab League" issued a decision Saturday to suspend Syrian delegations' activities in the Arab League meetings and implement economic and political sanctions against the Syrian government.
  • "Nabil" "Al-arabi" gave 3 days for the Syrian opposition to unite. The Arab league shall meet at Morocco to decide the next step.
  • During his testimony on Syria at the U.S. Senate last week,"Feltman said when we look at how far we came in recent weeks with regard to Syria, “I can basically say Assad is finished.” Feltman, for the first time, publicly mentioned there is the idea floating around of organizing an international contact group for Syria, one similarly and successfully done in the Libya case."
  • President Obama applauded the Arab League's decision today to suspend Syria and consider sanctions against Bashar al-Assad's government because of violence against its people.
  • The British Foreign Secretary William Hague, welcomed the decision of the League of Arab States to suspend the membership of Syria.
  • Abbas would meet Mishaal within 10 days

  • Syrian leadership proposed an urgent call for holding an emergency Arab summit to tackle the Syrian crisis and look into its negative repercussions on the Arab situation.

  • Press Secretary at Yemen Presidency Ahmad al-Soufi said that the Arab league (AL)'s decision against Syria was schemed and illegal because a decision to freeze an Arab country's membership at the AL should be taken at the level of the Summit not at the foreign ministers' level
