The Zionist entity has said that it would be willing to take military action in neighboring Jordan to protect it from attacks by the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant terrorist group, dubbed as ISIL, which has been sweeping across northern parts of Iraq and Syria in a violent bid to create its unilaterally-declared own state.A US Senator told the Daily Beast “Jordan could not repel a full assault from ISIL on its own at this point,” adding that Jordan "will ask Israel and the United States for as much help as they can get.”
"But behind the scenes, Israeli diplomats have told their American counterparts that Israel would be prepared to take military action to save the Hashemite Kingdom," the website reported.
Thomas Sanderson, the co-director for transnational threats at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said the Zionist entity and the United States view the survival of the Jordanian monarchy as a paramount national security objective.
“I think Israel and the United States would identify a substantial threat to Jordan as a threat to themselves and would offer all appropriate assets to the Jordanians.” he was quoted as saying.
Sanderson, who is a former contractor for the Defense Intelligence Agency, said those assets would include air power and intelligence resources.
However, he dismissed the likelihood of such action under current circumstances.
“It’s impossible to rule out boots on the ground from Israel or the United States, but that is the least likely scenario. Amman would have to be under siege for that to happen.”
Dana Daoud, a spokeswoman for the Jordanian embassy in Washington, reassured “We are in full control of our borders and our Jordanian Armed Forces are being very vigilant.”
“We have taken all the precautionary measures. So far, we have not detected any abnormal movement. However, if anything threatens our security or gets near our borders it will face the full strength of our Jordanian Armed Forces,” she added.
In the last year, the U.S. military has also positioned batteries of Patriot missiles and a fleet of F-16s inside Jordan along with a contingency of U.S. soldiers known as Centcom-Forward Jordan. The group is led by Brig. General Dennis McKean, one of whose missions is to help plan for Jordan’s defense in the midst of the chaos that has enflamed the region.
“Jordan is a very close partner to the United States, and we have shared their concerns about violence spilling across the border for some time,” said Commander Bill Speaks, a spokesman for the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
“We are committed to supporting Jordan’s security and continually assess the situation and how best to support our friends in the region,” he noted.

هل تتدخل اسرائيل في الأردن لحمايتها من داعش ؟؟

نقلت وسائل إعلام اسرائيلية عن مجلة “ديلي بيست” الأمريكية، قولها السبت إن مصادر أمريكية أكدت أن تل أبيب “مستعدة للتدخل العسكري في الأردن، في حال تعرضت الأخيرة لهجوم عسكري من قبل مقاتلي “تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية في العراق والشام” الذي يسيطر على مساحات واسعة من مناطق شمال وشمال شرق العراق المحاذية للأردن.
ونقلت المجلة الأمريكية، عن عضو في مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي لم تسمه قوله إن “محادثات سرية قد جرت بينهم وبين مسؤولين إسرائيليين، تركزت حول الوضع الأمني في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وكان نصيب الأسد هو الوضع الأمني في الأردن”.
وبحسب التقرير الأمريكي، فإن “تنظيم الدولة يضع عينيه على الأردن، حيث يقوم أنصار التنظيم بالتغريد على حساباتهم في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، بأنهم يسيطرون بالفعل على البلدان الأساسية في العراق”.
وشدد المسؤول الأمريكي على أنه “إذا استشعر الأردنيون وجود خطر من داعش، فإنهم سيحشدون ويشركون إسرائيل وأمريكا في الحرب التي اجتاحت الشرق الأوسط”، معربا عن قلقه من أن “الأردن لا يمكنه صد هجوم كامل لداعش (تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية) بنفسه في هذه المرحلة”.
وبحسب رأي عضو مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي، فإن الأردن في حال تعرضه لهجوم مفاجئ من ميليشيات “تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية” فإنه “سيلجأ لإسرائيل وأمريكا للمساعدة” بحسب ما يرى.
يشار إلى أن مؤيدين لـ “تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية في العراق والشام”، في محافظة معان، أقصى جنوب البلاد، خرجوا خلال الأيام الماضية في مسيرات أعلنوا فيها تأييدهم لما اعتبروها “انتصارات” ميليشيات التنظيم في العراق، إلا أن مراقبين قللوا من أهمية تلك المسيرات، واعتبروها رسالة تهديد للنظام الذي يشن غارات متتالية على المدينة التي يتمترس بها عدد كبير من الخارجين عن القانون.
