A senior Iraqi officer said that the army reached central Baiji, northern the country, in an attempt to break the terrorist siege imposed on the city's oil refinery.
The officer added that the Iraqi army controlled Taamem neighborhood in the city.
In Anbar, the Iraqi army regained a number of neighborhoods in the county of Heet.
