Yemeni army and popular committees kill 54 Saudi troops in Jawf province
(Jawf province, 26/2/2016) ~ Yemeni forces on Wednesday (24/2/2016) killed at least 54 Saudi troops, including commanders, in a ballistic missile attack in the northern Jawf province, said the country’s Defense Ministry.
The Yemeni Army, backed by Popular Committees loyal to the Ansarullah movement, targeted a Saudi military installation in Beir al-Maraziq region with a Qaher-1 ballistic missile in the early hours of Wednesday.
A large number of Saudi forces also sustained injuries in the attack.
The Yemeni surface-to-surface missile also destroyed a number of military equipment of the installation and inflicted heavy damage on its infrastructure.
The Yemeni forces have fired tens of missiles on the military positions and gathering centers of Saudi-led coalition so far, killing hundreds of Saudi forces and injuring many more.
Yemenis carry out these attacks in retaliation for the US-backed Saudi strikes on civilian targets, launched with the aim of undermining Ansarullah movement and bringing back to power the country’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh and Washington.
Dozens hirelings killed in Mareb
(Marib province, 26/2/2016) ~ Dozens of Saudi backed mercenaries were killed on Thursday night by the army and popular committees in Mareb province, a security official said Friday.
The mercenaries were killed in a fierce clashes erupted in Nehm and al-Jeda’an areas, western Mareb province, on where the mercenaries attempted to advance, he said.
The army and popular committees repulsed the attempt killed the twelve, including top leaders, the official added.
Meanwhile, the Saudi war jets launched more than 50 raids on al-Jeda’an and Nehm to support its mercenaries.
Two citizens killed in hostile raid on Sana’a
(Sana’a, 26/2/2016) ~ Two citizens were killed on Friday in an air raid launched by the Saudi aggression war jets on Nehm district in Sana’a province.
A security official told Saba the Saudi-led coaltion war jets targeted a car in al-Huqah area, which led to the death of the two citizens as a result of the injuries they sustained.
The official condemned the continuation of the aggression warplanes in targeting innocent civilians since 11 months, decaying the silence of the international community and rights organizations.
