IOF kills 23 Palestinians, confiscates 4250 acres in March: report
ALRAY- Gaza –– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed 23 Palestinians, including five children and two women, during the popular surge in West Bank and Gaza in March, according to a recent report.
The report released by the PLO-run Abdullah Al-Hourani Center for Studies and Documentation, revealed that 19 Palestinians were killed “field execution” at military checkpoints across the West Bank, for allegedly trying to carry out attacks on military forces.
The latest of the killings, it said, was the murder in Hebron of 21-year-old Abdel Fattah Al Sharif, who died when a soldier shot him in the head at point blank range, as he laid prone on the ground after he was wounded. The Israeli forces claimed he was trying to stab soldiers.
The number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Palestinians popular uprising in October, arose to 209, including 47 children and a young man from Gaza passed away of wounds sustained, after an Israeli raid in 2006, the report explained.
The reported pointed out that the IOF shot about 380 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza during the same month. The injuries included 45 children.
Same time, the IOF detained 647 Palestinians, including 128 children and 16 women, bringing the number of female prisoners in Israeli prisons to 67, including 17 minors.

The Israeli forces had also detained nearly 1300 Palestinian workers, under the pretext of entering the 1948 territories without work permits.
Meanwhile, 30 Palestinian prisoners held in two Israeli jails began a hunger strike “as part of escalatory measures” to protest Israeli abuses of thousands of Palestinian detainees.
A prisoner’s watchdog said the strike at the Megiddo and Gilboa prisons was the start, adding that other protests were planned this month against the violations, including solitary confinement and holding prisoners without trial under so-called administrative detention policy.
In the same month, the Israeli occupation demolished 156 facilities in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including 63 homes, 96 farms and business facilities. Meanwhile, nearly 4250 acres in the West Bank and Jerusalem were confiscated
