Jaafari: UNSC Failed to Prevent Exportation of Terrorists

Syria’s permanent representative to the United Nations Bashar al-Jaafari lashed out at the UN Security Council, saying the international body failed to prevent the exportation of terrorists.
In a speech delivered Wednesday on the  Extremism Ideology, Jaafari said the UNSC failed to prevent the exportation and arming of terrorists, controlling borders and blocking TV channels that incite bloodshed in Syria.
JaafariSyria has repeatedly warned of the threat posed by terrorists as terrorism is a common adversary jeopardizing the entire world, indicating that the role played by the countries exporting terrorism cannot be ignored, SANA news agency reported.
“Five years on, we say to you get your hands off Syria…Stop meddling in our internal affairs,” al-Jaafari said.
Earlier on Tuesday, a Russian request to add two Syrian militant  groups to a United Nations terror blacklist was rejected by Britain, France, the United States, and Ukraine during a UNSC session.
Russia had requested that Jaish Al-Islam (Army of Islam) and Ahrar Al-Sham be added to the sanctions list because of their ties to Al-Qaeda and the ISIL Takfiri groups that already have been blacklisted.
