Yemeni Army Spox: “Large Number of Saudi Forces” Killed, Injured During Yemen Retaliation

Yemeni Army Spox: “Large Number of Saudi Forces” Killed, Injured During Yemen Retaliation

By Staff, Agencies

Yemen’s Armed Forces carry out an “exceptional” counterstrike against the southwestern Saudi region of Asir, killing and injuring “a large number of Saudi Arabian officers and forces.”

The Yemeni defense forces fired as many as three ballistic missiles during the Wednesday operation against the Dhahran al-Jonoub Province in Asir, the Yemeni Armed Force’s Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced on his Twitter account.

He specified the exact target of the operation as a camp belonging to the Saudi army’s First Regiment.

The Yemeni forces also fired two ballistic missiles against the training camp belonging to the Saudi-led mercenaries in the western part of the southwestern Yemeni province of Taizz.

Two more such projectiles were, meanwhile, used in another counterstrike targeting the militants in the west-central province of Marib.

Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a war against the Arab world’s most impoverished nation in March 2015. The war has been seeking to restore power in Yemen to Riyadh’s favorite officials.

The military campaign has stopped short of the goal, while killing tens of thousands of Yemenis and turning the entire country into the scene of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

The Yemeni defense forces have, however, vowed not to lay down their arms until liberation of the entire country.

They have made significant advances towards ridding Marib of the foreign military presence.

Given Marib’s strategic location, the province’s recapture is expected to pave the way for further military victories for Yemen’s defenders.

Yemeni Resistance Liberates Large Swathes from Saudi-backed Mercenaries, Will Free Marib Soon

Yemeni Resistance Liberates Large Swathes from Saudi-backed Mercenaries, Will Free Marib Soon

By Staff, Agencies

Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yehya Saree said the country’s military and allied fighters from the Popular Committees have liberated as much as 3,200 square kilometers of land in the two key provinces of Marib and Shabwah during their latest operation, promising to fully free the strategically important city of Marib from the Saudi occupiers and their mercenaries.

Saree made the remarks on Sunday, during which he provided full details of the operation codenamed Rabi Al Naser [Spring of Victory], along with video demonstration, emphasizing that the operation has reached all its pre-designated goals in the two important provinces.

He said the air force had carried out more than 278 operations, including 161 in the occupied territories and 117 in the depth of Saudi territory.

Saree further underscored that the missile unit of Yemen’s armed forces has also carried out 130 operations, 35 of which took place on the Saudi soil, and that the air defense had shot down four spy drones and conducted 296 successful operations to repel airstrikes.

The Yemeni spokesman added that the operation continued despite 705 airstrikes conducted by the enemy. He said the cities of Asilan, Baihan and Ein in Shabwa and the cities of Harib and al-Abadiyah and parts of the two cities of Jabal Murad and al-Juba were liberated in Marib.

Saree added that the scale of the attacks had caught the Saudi side by surprise, saying 550 Saudi-backed fighters were killed and over 1,200 were injured while 90 were also detained. The spokesman said leaders of the Daesh and al-Qaeda terrorist groups were among those killed.

In the operation, Saree noted, 16 armored vehicles and personnel carriers and 180 types of the enemy’s weapons were destroyed. He also announced the destruction of five weapons depots and the capture of dozens of enemy vehicles.

The Yemeni army forces on Friday established full control over the strategic region of Naja in Marib, south of the provincial capital.

They took control of Naja following fierce clashes with Saudi-sponsored militants loyal to former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the Hadi government back to power and crushing Ansarullah.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases. Yemeni armed forces and the Popular Committees have grown steadily in strength against the Saudi-led invaders, and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.

Yemeni Resistance Makes Rapid Advances in Marib, Inflicts Heavy Losses Upon Saudi Mercenaries

October 12, 2021

Marib Liberation ‘A Milestone’ In Battle to Expel Occupiers, Free Oil Wealth - Ansarullah

By Staff, Agencies

A senior member of the political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement said the liberation of the strategic central province of Marib will mark an important “milestone” in the battle to expel the occupiers and retake the country’s energy resources seized by the Saudi-led military coalition and its allied militants.

“The liberation of Marib will have significant impacts on [efforts to] expel occupation forces and return oil wealth” to the country, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti told Beirut-based al-Mayadeen television news network on Tuesday night.

Al-Bukhaiti said the Saudi-led coalition of aggressors runs a key command center in Marib, which is tasked with directing the operations against the Yemeni armed forces and “that is why the liberation of the rest of Marib constitutes a major objective for Yemen and will mark a milestone and the start of a new phase” in the Yemeni army’s liberation struggles.

He added that Yemeni army troops and fighters from Popular Committees will soon mount a major operation against Saudi-led coalition forces and their mercenaries.

Al-Bukhaiti said the Saudi-led coalition’s air power will not last long, and the Yemeni armed forces continue to strengthen their military capabilities.

“We tell those involved in the fighting with the coalition that we do not want to target them,” said al-Bukhaiti, apparently addressing the militants serving the Saudi-led coalition on the battle ground. Besides foreign mercenaries, many Yemeni militants loyal to the former Riyadh-friendly government Sanaa have been serving the Saudi-led campaign.

The balance of power is tilting in favor of Yemen and the country will enter a new phase once enemy forces are defeated, he said.

“The Sanaa initiative is still on the table” Bukhaiti said, calling on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to “quickly seize the opportunity and embrace peace.”

“Yemen’s goals are defensive at present, but the objectives of the battles may change as time passes,” he said.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Spokesman for Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yehya Saree, said in a press conference that Yemeni armed forces had made significant territorial gains in Marib Province, seizing control over large swaths of territory from Saudi-backed mercenaries.

Saree said the latest military operation dubbed Fajr al-Intisaar [Dawn of Victory], which came in the wake of a series of attacks by Saudi-backed aggressors in recent days, was launched after the success of the previous operation dubbed al-Bass al-Shadid to liberate Marib strategic province from the grip of Saudi-sponsored Takfiris.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crushing popular Ansarullah resistance movement.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases.

Yemeni armed forces and allied Popular Committees, however, have grown steadily in strength against the Saudi-led invaders, and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.

Yemeni Resistance Makes Rapid Advances in Marib, Inflicts Heavy Losses Upon Saudi Mercenaries

By Staff, Agencies

The Yemeni Armed Forces and allied popular committees have made significant territorial gains in the strategic Marib province, seizing control over large swaths of territory from the Saudi-backed mercenaries.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman, Brigadier General Yehya Saree revealed details of the military operation dubbed ‘Fajr Al-Intisaar’ [Dawn of Victory], which came in the wake of a series of attacks by Saudi-backed aggressors in recent days.

The official said the latest military operation was launched after the success of the previous operation to liberate the strategic province from the Saudi-backed mercenaries.

“With the participation of various military units, the Mujahideen began to carry out the plan that necessitated the attack on the enemy from several sides, before the main sides branched out into several other sub-sides,” Saree posted on his Twitter later.

“Every mercenary, agent, traitor can save his life and leave his position as our forces advance, our forces will allow him to escape and leave even if he is carrying his personal weapon,” he added.

Saree also noted that the Yemeni army in the latest offensive had liberated an area spanning 600 sq km from the enemy forces, and that it was inching closer to the provincial capital, 75 miles east of the capital Sanaa.

The forces loyal to Yemen’s national salvation government in the early hours of Tuesday made inroads into several areas in the city of al-Juba, while continuing advances toward the cities of al-Jadid, al-Rawda and other adjoining areas in the oil-rich Marib province.

The fresh offensive launched by the Yemeni government forces inflicted heavy casualties and collateral damage on the Saudi-backed camp, which includes the al-Qaeda fighters, reports said.

In al-Abdiyah, Yemeni government forces took control of the areas of Kharafan and al-Hijla, while pushing back the demoralized enemy forces after killing their top-rung leaders.

In a humanitarian gesture, the government forces also announced that the wounded mercenaries besieged in al-Abdiyah would be allowed to leave the area to receive medical treatment in Sanaa.

“Any mercenary who leaves the battlefield will be given a chance to survive,” Saree told reporters, stressing that strict instructions were given to government forces not to kill the wounded.

The spokesman also noted that the operations to fully liberate areas currently under enemy control in the central Yemeni province will continue, hailing the resilience shown by people in the face of draconian sanctions and a crippling blockade.

“Freedom is possible only by rejecting foreign occupying forces and cleansing our land from the filth of the aggressors and their allies,” Saree remarked, adding that the Saudi-led coalition forces had carried out 948 airstrikes, targeting civilian homes and roads, during the latest operation.

The “most notable” result of the operation, Saree stressed, was the liberation of the geographical area in the previous operation dubbed “Al Bass Al Shadeed,” looking down upon Marib city, and shooting down 6 US-made spy fighter planes and 11 spy planes.

He said the shooting down of enemy planes “created fear in the ranks of aggressors”, preventing more strikes.

Giving further details about the operation, the military spokesman said the missile unit had carried out 68 offensives, targeting enemy bases, barracks and headquarters, out of which 49 offensives were carried out in the occupied territories of Yemen and 19 deep inside the Saudi territory.

The offensive from the Yemeni government forces came after relentless attacks in recent days by the Saudi-backed aggressors in the province, which damaged residential properties and farms and rendered hundreds of people homeless.

Ever since some regions in the strategic province of Marib, which sits at a crossroads between the southern and northern regions, were liberated by the Yemeni forces recently, Saudi Arabia and its allies have significantly stepped up their military aggression.

The six-year foreign-imposed war has killed tens of thousands of people in Yemen, according to global relief agencies.

The UN children’s agency UNICEF describes the war as “a living hell” for children, with 1.8 million under-fives suffering severe malnutrition.

While Saudi-led allies have lost much of the territory they had occupied following the 2015 invasion, Yemeni armed forces and the allied popular committees have grown in strength.

Yemeni Resistance Deals Heavy Blow To Aggressors: 16 Drones, Ballistic Missiles Target Saudi Depth

Yemeni Resistance Deals Heavy Blow To Aggressors: 16 Drones, Ballistic Missiles Target Saudi Depth

By Staff, Agencies

In yet another heroic achievement scored against the Saudi aggressors, the Yemeni resistance, represented by the Armed Forces, used 16 drones and ballistic missiles to hit targets deep inside Saudi Arabia in their latest operation, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yehya Saree announced.

“As part of confronting the crimes of [the Saudi-led] aggression against our country, our Armed Forces carried out the 7th Operation Balanced Deterrence, targeting vital facilities and military bases of the Saudi enemy,” Brigadier General Saree said in a televised statement on Sunday.

Saree explained that the operation targeted vital installations and military bases of Saudi Arabia, including Saudi Aramco facilities in Jeddah, Jizan and Najran regions, which he said were bombed with five Badr ballistic missiles and two Sammad-3 drones.

He added that Saudi Aramco facilities in Ras al-Tanura in the Dammam region, eastern Saudi Arabia, were also targeted with eight Sammad-3 drones and a Zulfiqar ballistic missile.

The spokesman stressed that Yemeni forces successfully hit their targets in both attacks.

In a statement on Saturday, Riyadh claimed that its air defenses had intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles and three explosive-laden drones launched towards Dammam, Jizan and Najran regions.

Yemen has been beset by violence and chaos since 2015, when Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a devastating war against the poorest Middle Eastern country to reinstall Yemen’s overthrown government of Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi in Sanaa and crush the Ansarullah resistance movement.

The war, accompanied by a tight siege, has failed to reach its goals and killed hundreds of thousands of Yemeni people, putting millions more at risk of starvation by destroying much of the country’s infrastructure.

The new operation came after the Yemeni Armed Forces repeatedly warned Saudi Arabia to stop the war and siege against the country or face larger and more extensive operations.

The Yemeni forces have stepped up their retaliatory attacks deep inside Saudi Arabia in recent months.

In his Sunday remarks, Saree said the new operation succeeded in achieving its goals, warning Saudi Arabia of the consequences of its continued military campaign against the Yemeni people.

He underlined that Yemen is entitled to carry out more military operations to defend itself and its people until the war and siege against the country come to an end.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their jihadist battle until the liberation of all the lands of the republic and the achievement of freedom and independence,” Saree affirmed.

Last month, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths said that about 5 million Yemenis are “just one step away” from succumbing to famine and related diseases.

“Ten million more are right behind them,” Griffiths warned.

According to Henrietta Fore, the executive director of UNICEF, one child dies every 10 minutes in Yemen from preventable causes, including malnutrition and vaccine-preventable diseases, which are the ramifications of the war on Yemen.

In another development, the spokesman for Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement affirmed the Yemeni people’s right to defend themselves so long as Saudi Arabia insists on continuing the war.

“Just as they insist on continuing their aggression and siege, our Yemeni people continue to defend themselves,” Mohammed Abdul-Salam tweeted on Sunday.

The latest operation against Saudi Arabia coincided with the liberation of the southern district of Rahba district by the Yemeni Army and allied popular committees, he said.

A security official in Marib Province told Yemen News Agency [SABA] that all the residents of Rahba can return to their homes and farms and practice their normal lives after the district was completely secured by Yemeni forces.

Yemeni Resistance Liberates Two Areas in Al-Bayda Province2″

By Staff, Agencies

Yemeni forces liberated two districts in al-Bayda Province from the control of Takfiri militants backed by a Saudi-led coalition waging war on Yemen.

Spokesman for Yemen’s Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yehya Saree, said in a statement on Friday that the Yemeni forces had completed the second stage of a military operation dubbed al-Nasr al-Mobin [Manifest Victory] in al-Bayda, liberating the districts of Numan and Natee and defeating Takfiri militants associated with the Saudi-led coalition.

Saree said the military operation had left hundreds of Saudi-backed mercenaries and Takfiri militants killed and injured, adding that the Yemeni forces had also captured a number of the militants and confiscated their weapons.

According to the spokesman, the Yemeni troops are about to purge the remaining areas in al-Bayda of the militants and most of the province’s districts are now under the Yemeni forces’ control.

“The Yemeni forces would continue with their operations unhampered until the end of the Saudi-led war and the liberation of all Yemeni territories,” Saree stressed.

On July 13, Saree announced that the Yemeni forces had launched the first stage of Operation al-Nasr al-Mobin to push members of al-Qaeda and Daesh [Arabic for ‘ISIS/ISIL’] out of their strongholds in al-Bayda.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and regional allies, launched the devastating war on Yemen in March 2015 with the goal of suppressing a popular uprising that had toppled a Riyadh-friendly regime.

Yemeni armed forces and allied Popular Committees have been defending the country since, and, over six years into the invasion, the Saudi-led forces remain bogged down in what has become Saudi Arabia’s Vietnam War.

The Saudi war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. The war has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases across the Arab country.

Yemeni Military Media Releases Video of Large-scale Operation against Saudi Forces in Jizan

Visual search query image

By Staff, Agencies

The Yemeni Military Media released on Thursday scenes of a major offensive against Saudi mercenaries on the outskirts of Al-Doud Mountain close to the kingdom’s southwestern region of Jizan.

The Army and the Popular Committees carried out a military operation against Saudi-backed militants, mercenaries from Sudan, deployed in the axes of Al-Madafin and Al-Mlahidh, which culminated in the control of several sites, killing, wounding and capturing Saudi-paid Sudanese mercenaries.

The Army and the Popular Committees conducted the offensive on two fronts, and they managed to establish control over a number of districts and inflict material and human losses on enemy forces in the process.

They destroyed four vehicles belonging to Saudi-backed militants, burned their camps and barricades, seized various weapons, and captured a number of Sudanese mercenaries.

The scenes documented by the military media lens also showed the moments of the Yemeni Army advancing to enemy positions and storming them.

The scenes also showed the Army and Popular Committees chasing the fleeing Sudanese mercenaries between valleys and hills, capturing a number of them.

In conjunction with the implementation of the operation, the US-Saudi aggression aircraft tried to support its mercenaries with a number of raids to stop the progress of the Army and Popular Committees, but to no avail.

LARGE-SCALE HOUTHI OFFENSIVE IN YEMEN AND THE SOUTHERN KINGDOM

  21.06.2021

Source

Yemen is on the brink of a massive humanitarian crisis, and it is all Ansar Allah’s fault. At least, as far as the collective ‘West’ and MSM are concerned.

In recent days, the Houthis (as Ansar Allah are known) have ramped up their attacks and have had some successes in clashes with the Saudi-led coalition. As has become customary, calls that this will lead to a humanitarian disaster immediately surface when such an occasion comes round.

In the most successful operation, at least 3 Saudi-coalition personnel were killed in attack at the base at the Wadi’ah crossing on June 19.

The next day, the Houthis shot down a US drone over the central Yemeni province of Ma’rib, where they have been leading a large-scale offensive against the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies for more than three months.

Ansar Allah spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari said that the drone, a Boeing Insitu ScanEagle, was intercepted with a ground-to-air missile over the area of al-Mushaj’a in the Sirwah district. It was likely used to provide reconnaissance to the Saudi-led coalition, as that is what a ScanEagle is typically used for.

The US drone was shot down amid a major military escalation between the Houthis and the Saudi-led coalition.

A day earlier, the Saudi-led forces intercepted a total of 17 “booby-trapped” drones launched from Yemen by the Houthis. On June 19th, between morning and noon, the coalition intercepted seven Houthi drones. The drones were shot down over Yemen, likely by warplanes of the Royal Saudi Air Force. Later in the day, 13 more were intercepted.

Sources in Saudi Arabia also shared videos on social media showing what they claimed to be missiles launched by the Houthis impacting targets in an unspecified part of the Kingdom.

The Houthis are yet to pay for the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, only one drone attack has been admitted.

The attacks were likely a part of a large-scale operation. Usually, the Yemeni group announces such operations once they are over.

In recent days, Saudi Arabia boasted that it had stopped bombing civilian targets such as the capital Sana’a while its warplanes continue carrying out air raids throughout Yemen, hunting for Houthi targets. That has led to very limited success, while Ansar Allah’s offensive could potentially just be in its early stages.

HOUTHIS LAUNCHED BALLISTIC MISSILE AT MA’RIB, SUICIDE DRONE AT SAUDI ARABIA’S ‘ASIR

The Houthis (Ansar Allah) are still carrying out successful missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia and its proxies in Yemen.

Late on June 16, a ballistic missile stuck the central Yemeni city of Ma’rib, which is held by the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies. According to several sources, the missile was launched by the Houthis.

The ballistic missile landed in a residential area inside the city. Nevertheless, no casualties were reported. The Houthis’ have not claimed responsibility for the attack, yet.

According to the UAE-based al-Arabiya TV, the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies responded with a series of strikes on Houthi positions in Ma’rib. Houthi fighters have been leading a large-scale offensive on the province city center for well over three months now.

A day later, the Houthis launched two Qasef-2K suicide drones at a “military position” in Abha International Airport in the southern Saudi province of Jizan. The Qasef-2K is a copy of the Iranian Ababil-2 drone with a range of around 150 kilometers.

“This attack comes as a natural response to the crimes of the aggression [Saudi-led coalition] and its continuous siege on our dear country,” Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Houthis, said in a brief statement.

Only one of the two drones was intercepted by the Saudi-led coalition air-defense forces. It is still unclear if the second reached Abha International Airport.

On June 10, the Houthis launched four ballistic missiles and a suicide drone at Ma’rib city, killing eight people and injuring many others. Within a few hours, the group attacked an unspecified target in Saudi Arabia’s ‘Asir with a suicide drone.

The Houthis’ ability to launch attacks on several fronts simultaneously pose a real challenge to the Saudi-led coalition and its Yemen proxies.
