Zahhar: Next round of negotiations on Shalit tougher

[ 04/07/2010 - 06:39 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, political bureau member of Hamas, on Sunday reassured relatives of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails that his movement's position in the next round of talks on the prisoners' exchange deal would be tougher than before.

He was speaking to relatives of prisoners who walked to his house and handed him a message asking Hamas not to ease its conditions in return for the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

Zahhar affirmed that his movement would resort to all means possible to liberate prisoners from Israeli jails, adding that Israeli lies and tricks would not weaken Hamas's position.

For his part, Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, said that the Israeli government was making a big "fabricated" fuss about Shalit in a bid to vent the Israeli street's anger over its failure to secure Shalit's freedom.

He said that there is nothing new in the issue, adding that Netanyahu and all concerned parties should know that there would be no freedom for Shalit without paying a price.

Shifting to another issue, Abu Zuhri, in a press statement on Sunday, said that the threat by the PA in Ramallah to go to the UN Security Council to declare the independent Palestinian state in response to the failure of negotiations with Israel would be a futile step.

He said that such a step would mean an indirect announcement of the death of the peace process, adding that there is no other option but resistance to force Israel to acknowledge Palestinian rights.

Nakhala: Egypt still detaining 11 Jihad elements

[ 04/07/2010 - 06:17 PM ]

DAMASCUS, (PIC)-- Deputy secretary general of Islamic Jihad movement Ziyad Nakhala has said that Egypt was detaining 11 of its members despite numerous mediation bids to release them.

He told Quds Press on Sunday that tens of Palestinians are also barred from returning to Gaza Strip at Egyptian orders, describing Cairo's position toward the Palestine cause as "ambiguous".

He said theoretically Egypt should be a supporter of the Palestine cause but "we cannot understand some of Egypt's practices". He added, "We might understand that Egypt does not want to shoulder the burden of the Rafah crossing, but we cannot understand why it arrests Palestinians."

The Jihad official renewed his movement's rejection of the Egyptian reconciliation paper, adding that it only met the demands of Mahmoud Abbas, the former PA chief and Fatah leader.

Sayyed Nasrallah Grieves Sayyed Fadlullah; Hezbollah Announces 3-Day Mourning

04/07/2010 Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Sunday mourned Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlullah, vowing to stay faithful for the sacred goals Sayyed Fadlullah had sacrificed his life to achieve them.

“Today, we have lost a compassionate father, a wise guide, a fortified shelter, and a strong support that was present at all stages,” Sayyed Nasrallah said in a mourning statement. “Sayyed Fadlullah was all the above mentioned for us and for the whole religious and resistant generation since we were youngsters praying behind him,” his eminence said.

“This is what his eminence was to us, and to all this faithful, struggling, and resisting generation, since the time we were youths praying in his assembly (congregational prayers), guided by his words, and learning beneath his pulpit,” Sayyed Nasrallah went on to say. “In his school, he taught us to advocate with wisdom and kind preaching, to be people of dialogue with others, to reject tyranny, to resist occupation, to adore meeting God the Almighty with certitude, and to be people of patience, steadfastness, and determination even with all the calamities, hardships, and distress we face. “To us, he was the teacher, instructor, the knowledge, and the light that lights up our way through every hardship.”

Hezbollah Secretary General stressed that “Sayyed Fadlullah’s pure soul, enlightened intellect, kind words, compassionate smile, chaste biography, and firm stances will remain within us as a guide, conduit, and progressing strong motive that pushes us forth to continuous hard work and jihad.”

Sayyed Nasrallah concluded his statement by vowing to remain faithful to the sacred goals Sayyed Fadlullah has lived, worked, and sacrificed for, day and night.

Earlier, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem offered condolences for Sayyed Fadlullah’s great loss. Speaking to Al-Manar, Sheikh Qassem said that Sayyed Fadullah raised the flag of the resistance high and supported it. “His eminence was one of the symbols of unity as he confronted all conspiracies of tyrann,” Sheikh Qassem said.

“Sayyed Fadlullah always called for unity and for the elimination of discord and strive among the people of the nation,” Sheikh Qassem said. “We cannot separate Sayyed Fadlallah from jihadist resistance work which he used to follow up with and continuously ask about, he always made sure the resistance is untroubled.”

“Sayyed Fadlullah was a great Islamic Symbol and a great Figure in the Islamic Sphere in all its fields,” Sheikh Qassem concluded.

Earlier, Hezbollah issued a statement in which it offered condolences, saying that the Islamic nation and the entire world have lost “an eminent Muslim scholar who clearly and bravely supported the Resistance and heroic Mujahedeen against the Zionist enemy.”

“Sayyed Fadlullah has filled the entire world with his knowledge, struggle, stances, and writings. Grand Ayatollah Fadlullah stood in face of the Zionist enemy as he audaciously supported the Resistance and the heroic Mujahideen, as the world witnessed his defiance and resistance to the occupation and its criminal actions and the price he paid for his stances as he expressed his rejection to the conspiracies of arrogant states,” Hezbollah said in its statement.

“It is a great loss to us as he is a symbol we need. The death of a religious scholar causes such a void in Islam that nothing can fill up. To God we belong, and to him we shall return. His knowledge, jihad, and stances will always be a minaret to the free mujahideen.”

While calling for a wide participation in his funeral, Hezbollah declared the three coming days as mourning to express sadness and consolation.

IOF troops wound four civilians, detain three others in peaceful march

[ 04/07/2010 - 06:09 PM ]

BETHLEHEM, (PIC)-- Four Palestinian citizens were wounded while three others were arrested when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled a peaceful anti wall march in Beit Jala town north of Bethlehem on Sunday.

The weekly march started after the Sunday sermon with tens of Palestinians and foreign solidarity activists hoisted Palestinian flags and placards denouncing Zionist practices.

The demonstrators split into two groups one headed to the Israeli bulldozers and managed to obstruct their work for an hour while the second headed to the IOF roadblock.

Eyewitnesses said that the IOF soldiers violently dispersed the demonstration using batons and rifle butts to assault the participants. The demonstrators threw stones and empty bottles at the soldiers who then retaliated firing rubber bullets and teargas canisters, which caused the four casualties including a photojournalist.

Ahmad Sa'adat: A Palestinian Prisoner of Conscience

by Stephen Lendman

Detailed information about him can be accessed through the following link:

http://www.freeahmadsaadat.org/bg.html

He's the 1967-founded Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine's (PFLP) General Secretary, one of thousands of Palestinian political prisoners, sentenced in 2002 to 30 years in prison "for a range of 'security-related' political offenses,' " including his prominence in a prohibited organization, a 1993 document stating that:

"The strategic aim of the PFLP's struggle alongside the other forces of the Palestinian revolution is to liberate Palestine from Zionist colonial occupation. The PFLP aims for the establishment of a democratic state on the entire Palestinian land, with its capital in Jerusalem. This state would guarantee legal rights and equality of opportunity to all citizens, without discrimination on the grounds of religion, sex, belief or color. It would oppose Zionism and imperialism and be oriented towards democratic unity with other Arab countries."

"Achieving this aim presupposes a radical solution for the Palestinian national cause and readiness to wage a prolonged, complicated and difficult struggle (against Zionism), a racist, aggressive, expansionist, settler-colonial entity which aims at elimination of our people." Great sacrifices are needed to prevent it.

Sa'adat's Background

Born in 1953 in Deir Tarif village near Ramallah in the West Bank, the son of dispossessed refugees, he became activist after the 1967 Six Day War. In 2001, he was elected PFLP General Secretary, replacing Abu Ali Mustafa, assassinated by Israel on August 27 that year.

In February 1969, Israel first arrested him for PFLP activities, detaining for three months - then for 28 months in 1970, 10 months in 1973, and 45 days in 1975. That year, he graduated from UNWRA's Ramallah Teaching Training College, specializing in math. In 1976, he was arrested again and held four years. In April 1981, he was elected to PLFP's Central Committee. In 1989, he was arrested and detained nine months, again in 1992 for 13 months, then released but declared a "wanted person," subject to re-arrest without cause.

In 1994, he became the PFLP's West Bank leader, arrested again in 1995, briefly detained by the Palestinian Authority (PA) in 1996, then arrested by the PA with other PFLP members. On February 27, 1997, following a hunger strike, he was released without charge, authorities fearing he might die in prison. In fact, he collapsed, became comatose and needed emergency treatment in Ramallah Hospital.

Arrested again in 2002, the PA held him at Jericho Prison for over four years. On August 20, 2002, Israeli forces assassinated his brother, Mohammed. On January 25, 2006, he was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council on the Abu Ali Mustafa slate. On March 14, 2006, the IDF stormed the prison, abducting Sa'adat and five others, incarcerating them in Israeli military prisons.

He committed no crime, was given a military trial by three military judges, with no legal training, in a military court, charged with organizing the assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister, Rehavam Zeevi on October 17, 2001, and was convicted by "an illegitimate manifestation of an illegitimate system...."

In June 2002, Amnesty International called for his immediate release after a Palestinian court ordered it, Fatah's cabinet overriding the decision the same day, abiding by a US-brokered deal ending Israel's 34-day siege on PA Chairman Yasser Arafet's Ramallah headquarters on May 1.

After Israel abducted him, a Sa'adat wrote:

"The Quartet (US, EU, Russia and the UN) provide a cover for occupation. What happened at Jericho Prison has made the British and US governments an integral part of the conflict and forever buried any illusions (of) their neutrality" - referring to American and UK guards abandoning their posts, letting Israeli forces storm the prison, abduct Sa'adat and others, kill two detainees, and injure 23 more.

On December 25, 2008, he was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment, Israel's harshest political punishment, illegal under international law. According to a PFLP statement, he was "sentenced to 30 years in Israeli jails for political reasons and not for any other crime," Sa'adat refusing to recognize the court's legitimacy, calling himself "a prisoner for freedom."

His alleged crimes included a laundry list of "security offenses," among them belonging to a forbidden organization, holding a post in it, and "incitement" in a speech condemning Israel's assassination of the man he succeeded, Abu Ali Mustafa.

On March 18, 2009, he was transferred from Hadarim to Asqelan Prison solitary confinement, a punishment repeatedly used against him. In June, he went on hunger strike for nine days in protest. On August 10, he was moved to Ramon Prison isolation in the Naqab desert. He's been denied family visits, outside communication, books, newspapers, magazines, television, and cigarettes, and has been systematically harassed and abused, including painful shackling and handcuffing outside his cell.

In October, a Bir Saba military court gave him six additional isolation months, what Sa'adat calls a "living death."

Palestinian political prisoners include men, women and children against Israel's illegal occupation, held not for crimes, but for "organiz(ing), act(ing), or f(ighting) for the freedom of their land."

They're now "a highly organized group, operating prisoners' associations, political organizations within the prisons and representative committees, and engaging in protests and hunger strikes that have drawn the attention of the world to their cause."

They're honored for having sacrificed to liberate their people and land, enduring extreme hardships including torture, other abuses and humiliations, long imprisonments, solitary confinement, and, for some, death, assassinated for devotion to their cause.

"The imprisonment of Palestinian political prisoners - some of the strongest organizers, activists and leaders of Palestinian society - is a deeply felt wound in the Palestinian community. The freedom of these prisoners, imprisoned because of their desire to see their homeland free, is a necessary part of achieving justice for the Palestinian people."

Sa'adat's wife, Abla, also a political activist, faced Israeli harshness numerous times, including her January 23, 2003 Allenby Bridge border crossing arrest, preventing her from addressing the Porto Alegre, Brazil World Social Forum.

On June 22, 2010, the Bir Saba District Court for Administrative Affairs again denied Sa'adat family visits and affirmed other hardships, claiming "secret evidence" for justification.

Also on June 22, he sent a message to supporters at the June 22 - 26 US Social Forum, this year in Detroit, saying:

"I greet you from inside the walls of the prisons of the occupation, with the voices of thousands of Palestinian and Arab political prisoners. On behalf of the Palestinian prisoners' movement, the Palestinian national movement, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, I carry our salutes to the US Social Forum, this coming together of movements of oppressed peoples to organize and stand together against racism, colonialism, oppression and imperialism."

Sa'adat explained that Palestine's struggle is theirs also, united for "liberation, international racial and economic justice, and an end to occupation, colonialism and imperialism....Our struggle is your struggle, and (your's) is ours."

He highlighted US complicity in Israel's crimes, collaborating Arab regimes, and lamented the fallout - thousands of political prisoners, millions of refugees denied the right of return, ethnic cleansing, home demolitions, occupation, targeted killings, mass arrests and imprisonments, apartheid, and entrenched racism, ongoing against Palestinians for over 62 years.

He commended the courageous Flotilla activists and others to follow, those killed martyrs "who will inspire us all to struggle in their path of courage, strength, indomitable solidarity and commitment to justice in the face of brutal oppression."

He concluded calling for "a global left front - for socialism, equality, justice and liberation! We join in your call: Another World is Possible! Another US is Necessary!"

Jerusalm: IOA to build 60 new housing units and Zionist extremists planning to evict 40 Jerusalemites

IOA to build 60 new housing units in OJ

[ 04/07/2010 - 10:09 AM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli organization and construction committee is to endorse the construction of 60 new housing units in Eastern Jerusalem that would coincide with Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington.

Hebrew daily Ha'aretz said on Sunday that the new housing units would be built in Pisgat Ze'ev to the north east of occupied Jerusalem.

In another report, this time by the Israeli radio, the Israeli parliament was discussing a new draft proposal that would prevent Netanyahu from renewing the settlement freeze decision.

The radio said that Likud and national union party members of the parliament proposed the law that stipulates referring any such decision to the parliament for endorsement.

The broadcast said that the law primarily targeted blocking the Israeli government form extending the ban on settlement building that would end by next September, which was not fully pursued anyway and which excluded occupied Jerusalem.

Zionist extremists planning to evict 40 Jerusalemites

[ 04/07/2010 - 04:21 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Hebrew daily Yediot Ahronot reported on Sunday that Zionist settlers have threatened to evict the occupants of a Palestinian building in East Jerusalem, and to force more than 40 Jerusalemite citizens out of it, that if happened would have coincided with the American Independence Day.

The newspaper highlighted that members of the Israeli Knesset asked the Zionist extremists to postpone the eviction until the end of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United States, so as not to cause embarrassment to Israel during talks between the two sides.

The newspaper added that the extremist right-wingers agreed to postpone the eviction process a few days until the end of Netanyahu's visit, stressing that they would soon vacate the building and force out its residents.

Mishaal: West Bank to restore resistance program - No link between siege, unity deal

[ 03/07/2010 - 03:32 PM ]

DAMASCUS, (PIC)--

Hamas political bureau chairman Khaled Mishaal has affirmed that the West Bank would restore its resistance program and that the siege on Gaza Strip would end soon.

Mishaal, speaking in an interview with Jordanian weekly "Al-Sabeel" to be published on Sunday, said that Hamas was ready for resuming indirect negotiations on a prisoners exchange deal with Israel.

He said that his movement would seek to capture more Israeli soldiers if one was not enough to release the Palestinian prisoners.

Mishaal said that resistance was the spearhead in foiling any attempt to turn Jordan into an alternative homeland for the Palestinian people.

He said that a veto was obstructing inter-Palestinian reconciliation, adding that Turkey was not allowed to mediate in the reconciliation file.

In Gaza, deputy premier and minister of local government Ziyad Al-Zaza told reports on Saturday that there was no connection between the issue of the captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and the Gaza crossings.

He said that Shalit's freedom is linked to the release of the Palestinian prisoners as demanded by the resistance factions capturing Shalit.

The minister, who was inaugurating a new market in central Gaza, also demanded an immediate and permanent end to the siege on Gaza.

Mash'al: No link between siege, unity deal

Published today (updated) 04/07/2010 14:11 Bethlehem – Ma'an –

Exiled Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mash'al said Sunday that any attempt to connect an end to Israel's blockade of Gaza and the ratification of a Palestinian unity deal was "unacceptable."

Mash'al told the Jordanian newspaper As-Sabil in Damascus that recent comments by Fatah on the reconciliation deal are "attempts to divert attention from breaking siege."

He described the Palestinian Authority's stance toward ending the blockade as "lacking all seriousness."

"Some Palestinian and Arab sides do not want to see Hamas get out of the siege upright," the exiled leader said. Israel is prolonging the siege on Gaza in line with certain "Arab and Palestinian wishes."

The Hamas leader said his movement does not interfere in Jordanian affairs but called on the kingdom to support the Palestinian people and resistance in the West Bank.

On Saturday, Mash'al said Hamas was ready to re-enter indirect negotiations on a prisoner swap based on previous demands. "If one solider is not enough to release the prisoners, then we will detain others."

International Lawyer Says Israel A Liability Not An Asset For The US

July 4, 2010 by politicaltheatrics

Dr. Franklin Lamb, International Lawyer

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has launched a week-long meeting to discuss ongoing nuclear programs in the Middle East.

The IAEA Board of Governors meeting opened in Vienna on Monday focusing on Iran, Syria, and Israel — which is believed to be the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

This is the first time the Board of Governors has made a move to discuss Israel’s nuclear arsenal since 1991.
What follows is the transcription of a phone interview with Dr. Franklin Lamb, an international lawyer from Beirut, about the IAEA meeting.

Press TV: Dr. Lamb, this IAEA meeting comes after 19 years, discussing Israel’s nuclear program, which is thought to have a military nature. What do you think their next step is?

Dr. Lamb: You are right, it has been 19 years. This meeting is being held under substantial pressure from Washington not to discuss that subject. I think it is an important step for the IAEA because it will add to their credibility now that they are looking at the subject. We cannot predict in advance what their declaration will be after this week’s meeting, but it is very likely that they are going to ask for transparency and an inventory from Israel as well as urging them…to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Remember the Washington conference in May… One of the three main findings was a call for an inventory of all nuclear weapons, including those in the Middle East, within a four-year period. Therefore, I see this meeting as consistent with that call which President Obama reiterated; starting this process of demanding transparency and also accountability and an inventory of the claimed 200 or 300 warheads which the Jane’s Defence Weekly said Israel possesses. So this is progress, this is moving in a direction where so much movement seems to be happening in the Middle East.

Press TV: Like you said this is the right step that is taken and we should wait to see if Israel would actually comply. However, how do you think regional countries perceive these threats from Israel’s nuclear weapons?

Dr. Lamb: I think all of them perceive it as a threat. And that is what in a sense has allowed Israel to increase its territory to conduct these aggressions, but those days are over, because I think there is now effectively a deterrent to Israel’s aggressions. I think they can no longer attack for example Lebanon at will as they have done some 6 times in the past 20 years. They are going to have to think twice about invading Gaza again, and I think they will be well advised not to move against Iran. That is because the resistance is growing weekly; it is broadening in terms of public support, I believe it is deepening in terms of military capacities as well.
They [the resistance] have recently actually achieved a deterrence, a balance… So that Israel can no longer be assured of its military superiority as it was in the past. Week by week, they become relatively weaker as the resistance, meaning Syria, Gaza, the West Bank, Iran, and in the entire region those who are opposed to Israeli policies are getting stronger. Now the Americans are realizing, as even the head of Mossad mentioned last week, that Israel is no longer a military asset or a strategic ally; but a strategic liability. So with all these movements I think history is in the process of correcting this injustice.

Press TV: Thank you Mr. Franklin Lamb for joining us from Beirut.

IOF soldiers break into MP's home, detain 3 Palestinians

[ 04/07/2010 - 09:20 AM ]

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) broke into the home of MP Mohammed Al-Tal in Dhaheria town, southwest of Al-Khalil, at dawn Sunday.

The lawmaker said that the IOF troops interrogated him then handed him a summons to meet an intelligence officer at Etzion settlement north of Al-Khalil next Thursday.

Tal was surprised at the "unwelcome presence" of those forces, recalling that he was released from Israeli occupation jails only a few months ago after serving 40 months in captivity.

The IOF troops stormed the home of Tal two months ago for the same purpose.

Meanwhile, IOF soldiers rounded up three Palestinians in "routine" raids in various West Bank areas at dawn Sunday, Yediot Ahronot said on its website quoting military sources.

Ayatollah Fadlullah: “Hezbollah’s Spiritual Leader” … A True Supporter of Resistance and Unity

Sayyed Fadlullah… A True Supporter of Resistance and Unity

Hussein Assi

04/07/2010 Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohamad Hussein Fadlullah was not only a Muslim reference and authority but rather one of the most prominent contemporary religious authorities in the Islamic World.

His great experience in teaching jurisprudence as well as his constant monitoring of the latest trends and literature of the major religious schools have enabled him to launch his own school and to be followed by thousands of Muslim believers in Lebanon and the region.

But Sayyed Fadlullah was not only remarkable for his religious position and status. His eminence was in fact a remarkable intellectual who was described as the spiritual leader of the Resistance in Lebanon and the region.

The Arab-Israeli conflict, the Palestinian cause, the US hegemony, patriotism and the State were always raised by Sayyed Fadlullah whether in his Friday sermons, lectures, writings, or speeches.

Sayyed Fadlullah issued different “fatwa”s calling to fight Israel and boycott American goods and ban normalizing of relations, and was a “true supporter” of Islamic unity all over his life.

JIHAD RELATED TO CONCEPT OF SELF-DEFENSE

For Sayyed Fadlullah, the concept of Resistance is related to the principle of Jihad in Islam. His eminence believes that Jihad in Islam is the fighting movement that aims at preventing the enemy from forcing its hegemony over the land and the people by means of violence that confiscates freedom, kills the people, usurps the wealths and prevents the people's rights in self-determination. Therefore, Jihad is confronting violence by means of violence and force by force, which makes it defensive at times and preventive at others.

In the light of this, Sayyed Fadlullah concludes that Jihad is no different than any human and civilized concept of self-defense. It expresses the innate human nature of self-defense, or preventing the others from building the ability for a sudden aggression. Islam meets in this with all human values of all civilizations, his eminence says.

However, Sayyed Fadlullah stresses that calling for Jihad is not a legalization of violence and force in different communities. His eminence believes that using force against the others in any other case is an illegal aggression, even if they are of different religion, race or other such differences. Indeed, Jihad in Islam is not using violence against the unbeliever, but against the fighting aggressor.

As a conclusion, Sayyed Fadlullah says that bombers who kill innocent people or those who explode car bombs, killing innocent women, children, elderly, and youth undermine the image of Islam and Muslims and give others a wrong idea about this tolerant religion and its followers.

ISLAMIC RESISTANCE LIBERATED LEBANON

According to Sayyed Fadlullah, if we read the history of the resistance, we see that the Islamic resistance was the only movement that played a decisive role in liberating Lebanon in 2000 and achieving victory in 2006.

In light of this, Sayyed Fadlullah couldn’t understand accusations of non-patriotism against the Resistance. In the face of these accusations, many question marks were raised: How could one be patriotic? Are those who liberated the homeland and sacrificed their best men unpatriotic? Who are the patriots then? Are they those who were - during and before the civil war - collaborating with Israel, at a time when Israeli leaders including (former Prime Minister Ariel) Sharon, were visiting Lebanon to prepare for an invasion and crush the Palestinian resistance in this small country?

Therefore, allegations that the Shiites are unpatriotic are groundless, Sayyed Fadlullah emphasizes. According to him, the Shiites in Lebanon believe and adhere to their Lebanese identity and give priority to Lebanon's interests; they even offered their victory over Israel to Lebanon as a whole and to the Arab and Muslim worlds.

SECTARIAN REGIME CREATED CHASM BETWEEN SECTS

As a caller for unity in general and Islamic unity in particular, Sayyed Fadlullah was of course against political sectarianism.

His eminence believes that Lebanon's sectarian regime created a chasm between the sects, through which international powers attempted to infiltrate. Moreover, the turmoil in Lebanon was a result of a political sectarian situation, coupled with a number of complications and troubles between certain sides. As a result, each sect sought the support of a certain foreign state to prevail over other sects.

Yet, Sayyed Fadlullah says that the Shiite Muslims were the only sect that did not allow any foreign state to penetrate to the Lebanese domestic arena. They were open to all sects. The experiences of Sayyed Moussa al-Sadr give the best evidence of this openness. He was open to all sects and founded the "Movement of the Deprived" which embraced people from all sects. For this reason, the Shiite sect, contrary to all sects, did not maintain any foreign affiliation with any state to achieve its own interests.

WE DO ALL WANT A STRONG, CAPABLE AND WISE STATE

For those speaking about the statehood, Sayyed Fadlullah always had the appropriate answer: we do all want a strong, capable and wise state that protects its people, but the friends of the state and the friends of those in charge of the state, abstained from providing it with necessary weapons to face any future aggression by Israel, which continues to threaten to annihilate Lebanon from top to bottom.

According to Sayyed Fadlullah, establishing a just and strong state in Lebanon ought to be based on a number of rules whose features would crystallize once a comprehensive and transparent internal dialogue is initiated, especially over Zionist threats to Lebanon. Moreover, practical and realistic bases should be set to face this dangerous strategic threat. Such a transparent dialogue would produce the required elements of confidence that were missing at earlier stages.

Yet, according to his eminence, the concept of the state should be clarified: a true state should set a legitimate, legal, and rational limit for the movement of foreign ambassadors in Lebanon, in order to prevent them from interfering in internal affairs, causing damage to coexistence, and turning the parties against one another. Moreover, it would put an end to the direct tutelage, that has been lately practiced by the American embassy, by making US Ambassadors follow the regular diplomatic rules and channels, rejecting their interference, as well as that of other ambassadors, in the Lebanese internal affairs. This, Sayyed Fadlalluh adds, actually represents the primary basis on which we can establish the state, resulting in a true independence for the country and releasing it from the claws of the American tutelage and the like.

AMERICAN POLICY IS EVIL WITH NO GOOD ON IT

Sayyed Fadlullah’s rejection to the US ambassador’s conduct is not strange not only given the US flagrant interference in the Lebanese affairs but given his own views of the US policy in the region.

According to Sayyed Fadlullah, America, in its policy that aspires to impose hegemony on the world is evil with no good in it. This is explained by the US absolute support for the Israeli enemy in its wars against Muslims from Lebanon to Palestine.

In Iraq, the US policy also speaks for itself: part of the American war against Iraq serves Israeli interests for it prevents any power in the region with the ability to compete with Israel from building its strength. Iraq with its economic, human and scientific potential was prepared to assume this position, but the policies of the Iraqi dictator gave the Americans the chance they need to destroy all these potentials, Sayyed Fadlullah explains. Moreover, the US wants to put its hands, on the Iraqi oil as an advanced step towards taking control of all the oil and the resources of the world. It also seeks to circumvent and besiege any potential rival to its influence such as the European Union on Japan.

ALL AMERICAN AND ISRAELI GOODS SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED

Because America, that kills scores of Palestinians daily but with Israeli hands, will never think of the interests of the Iraqis, Arabs, or Muslims, Sayyed Fadlullah was famous for his call to boycott US and Israeli products.

According to his eminence, all American and Israeli goods and products should be boycotted in a way that undermines American and Israeli interests as a means of deterrence to their war against Muslims and Islam that is being waged under the pretense of fighting terrorism. This boycott should become an overwhelming trend that makes these two states feel that their economies are in a real and present danger.

SAYYED FADLULLAH’S SCHOOL… AN ETERNAL ONE

This report was an attempt to sum up Sayyed Fadlullah’s main views regarding the resistance, the US and Israeli threats and Lebanon.

In brief, it can be understood that Sayyed Fadlullah alongside his followers launched a school of beliefs and thoughts, a school that would always be committed to the main causes of Islam, from Jihad to Resistance, and face all foreign threats against the region.

With such views and such words, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohamad Hussein Fadlullah will remain a great man in the eyes of all those who had the chance to know him, and his views will continue to circulate from one generation to another…

Ayatollah Fadlullah: “Hezbollah’s Spiritual Leader”

Batoul Wehbe

04/07/2010 Dubbed by the media as the “Spiritual Leader” of the Islamic resistance “Hezbollah,” in Lebanon, Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlullah inspired the leaders for the resistance group, and served as a highly influential beacon of truth for all the oppressed peoples of the world.

From the pulpit of the Imam Rida mosque in the Bir al-Abd neighborhood (Beirut’s southern suburb), Sayyed Fadlullah’s sermons gave shape to the political currents among mainly the Muslim Shiite sect, from the latter half of the 1980s till the last days of his life.

The Israeli invasion of Lebanon in June 1982 was a watershed event for the Lebanese, mostly the Shiites living in the south, and the public career of Sayyed Fadlullah. The beginning of Hezbollah as an armed resistance movement dates back to that Israeli invasion.

“What martyrdom is greater than making yourself a human bomb detonating it among the enemy? What spiritualism is greater than this spiritualism in which a person loses all feeling of his body and life for the sake of his cause and mission?”

This quotation and many others fumed the flame of the resistance ideology.

He supported the ideals of Iran's Islamic Revolution and advocated the corresponding Islamic movement in Lebanon. In his sermons, he called for armed resistance to the Israeli occupations of Lebanon, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, along with opposition to the existence of Israel.

He once said that the slogan "land for peace” was a betrayal of Palestinian blood and of the sacred cause of Palestine."

“Israel poses a great danger to our future generations and to the destiny of our modern nation, especially since it embraces a settlement-oriented and expansionist idea that it has already begun to apply in occupied Palestine and it is extending and expanding to build Greater Israel, from the Euphrates to the Nile,” Sayyed Fadlullah said in one of his lectures.

Sayyed Fadlullah often explains that Judaism, Christianity and Islam were all Divine religions, however he always differentiated between a Jew anywhere in the world and another Jews who comes to Palestine and take part in the occupation of this Arab land.

“All of Palestine is a war zone and every Jew who unlawfully occupies a house or land belonging to a Palestinian is a legitimate target. There are no innocent Jews in Palestine. They kill many of our women, children, and elderly people. They destroy our homes. They confiscate our water and freedom.”

In an interview with Al-Manar TV on March 21, 2008, Sayyed Fadlullah stated:

“The Hebrew state is preparing to celebrate its 60th anniversary – 60 years since it plundered Palestine - in a festival, which will be attended by the countries of the world, most of which still support the Zionist state and consider the resistance movement to be terrorism. This is what led German Chancellor Merkel to visit that plundering country, which extorted and continues to extort Germany, using as a pretext the German Hitlerist-Nazi past, and the placing of the Jews in a holocaust. Zionism has inflated the number of victims in this holocaust beyond imagination.”

BOYCOTTING AMERICAN AND ISRAELI GOODS

There are also other kinds of resistance than the armed struggle. “Boycot” was the main weapon against the oppressors to press them economically. Sayyed Fadlullah played a major role in issuing a Fatwa to boycott Israeli as well as American goods.

"All American and Israeli goods and products should be boycotted in a way that undermines American and Israeli interests so as to act as deterrence to their war against Islam that is being waged under the pretext of fighting terrorism. This boycott should become an overwhelming trend that makes the US and Israel feel that their economies are in a real and present danger."

His viewed the American administration as an “arrogant state that supports the Zionist entity.”

“I have not found in the whole long history of the Arab-Israeli conflict even one neutral American position. America now is following a policy worse than that of the British and French colonials,” he said.

Sayyed Fadlullah was a main supporter of Iran’s Islamic regime and its struggle against global hegemony. He once stated that Iran was standing alone with the Palestinian people and supporting their struggle.

To show support to Iran's civilian nuclear program, he asked why the Bush Administration and his Western allies were mum on the possession of weapons of mass destruction by the Zionist regime. “Does the possession of nuclear weapons by the Zionist regime--a potential threat to the region--makes sense?” he asked.

In his latest meetings with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sayyed Fadlullah called for unity among the Lebanese to confront a psychological war with Israel, and stressed preparedness on all levels to prevent this enemy from making political gains.

The Grand Ayatollah also called for unity to ward off Israeli attempts to widen the gap among the Lebanese through accusations to the Hezbollah leadership and the party's arms of being the reason behind a possible large-scale war on Lebanon.

“Ayatollah Mohammad Hussein Fadlullah”

This name will always be remembered as the most important Shiite cleric to emerge in Lebanon and gain reverberation in the world. His theological and political influence has been profound and considerable not to the Shiite sect, but to Muslims and Christians as a whole.

Hamas: don’t give in on Shalit - Netanyahu 'Ready' to Free 1,000 Captives to Bring Shalit Home

Hamas: don’t give in on Shalit

by Khalid Amayreh

The cruel Israeli regime is organizing a fresh campaign to demand the release of one of its occupation soldiers, detained in a secret Gaza location.

The new campaign, publicized by the Jewish-controlled media in Europe and North America, is assuming many expressions, including protests led by the soldier’s family, a propaganda ship organized by the American Jewish followers of the Nazi-minded rabbi Meir Kahana, and a call by happy-go-lucky French President Nicolas Sarkozy for the unconditional release of the Israeli soldier.

This is the same Sarkozy who kept silent during the murderous Israeli onslaught against the defenseless people of Gaza eighteen months ago. He is now invoking humanitarianism and charity as if the thousands of Gaza children, men and women, annihilated or maimed by the Israeli army were non-humans.

It is true that Gilad Shalit is not being accorded a five-star treatment. But this is not due to any presumed sadistic urges on Hamas’s part to torment the young soldier who is likely to have the blood of many children on his hand.

In Israel, it is difficult to find an adult Israeli male whose hands have not been stained with Palestinian blood.

After all, Israel is a society of murderers and child-killers.

It is a society whose members Zionism has transformed into racists, cannibals and Nazi-minded murderers and child killers.

Indeed, were it not for the fact that Israel has been making constant and meticulous efforts to discover his whereabouts and liberate him by force, there is no doubt that Hamas would allow the International Commission of the Red Cross, even his family, to visit him.

But Israel, a country that murders peace activists on high seas and then calls the cold-blooded murder “armed confrontations with terrorists,” can’t be trusted.

Palestinians have had a long and bitter experience with Israeli treachery. This is why Hamas can’t allow itself to make the slightest risk in this regard. Yes, one might sympathize with Shalit at a certain human level. However, Shalit is only one person while the entire Palestinian people are held hostage by an evil regime that can only be compared with history’s worst.

There are, of course, other aspects to this sensitive issue. Israel detains thousands of Palestinian political and resistance prisoners in its dungeons. And as the recently-freed Palestinian Islamic leader Sheikh Nayef Rajoub revealed, many of these prisoners are being subjected to Medieval savagery at the hands of those claiming to be “a light upon the nations.”

For those who have forgotten, Shalit was taken prisoner in battlefield. Moreover, had Israel succeeded in carrying out a rescue operation, he would have most likely got killed.

This is probably the endgame that Israel wishes for its imprisoned soldier. A dead Shalit would be a Hasara bonanza for the Zionist propaganda machine. On the one hand, it would allow Israel to torture and kill more Palestinian political prisoners (several Palestinian prisoners died recently due to torture, medical negligence and other causes). It would also absolve Israel from freeing hundreds of Palestinian prisoners as demanded by Hamas and insisted by the vast bulk of the Palestinian masses, irrespective of their political orientation.

To be sure, Hamas had been negotiating in good faith with Israel, hoping to reach a dignified breakthrough that would see the repatriation of Shalit to his family in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian detainees to their families. That would be a win-win formula for everyone.

However, the Israeli government consistently and arrogantly rejected this logical proposal, making racist arguments which even the leaders and ideologues of the Third Reich didn’t dare to make. For example, Israeli leaders routinely invoke the mendacious canard that the Judeo-Nazi state cannot free prisoners who have Jewish blood on their hands. Well, what about the thousands or tens thousands of Israelis who have Palestinian, Lebanese and now Turkish blood on their hands? Is non-Jewish blood less red than Jewish blood?

Israel doesn’t dare indulge in a genuine argument in this regard. The reason is simple. Israel views the blood and lives of non-Jews as insignificant, at least in comparison to Jewish blood and Jewish lives. Just try to have a brief conversation with a rabbi and you will be more than shocked hearing what he will be saying in this regard.

In any case, Hamas must not show the slightest sign of fatigue vis-à-vis Israel because the lives and freedom of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are at stake.

Hamas has been successfully managing this Shalit affair for over three years. Israel committed untold massacres and has been imposing a manifestly criminal siege on 1.7 million human beings, in the hope of creating a crack in Hamas’s wall of steadfastness. But neither Israeli pressure, nor western conspiracy, nor Arab collusion and Palestinian Authority treachery, have succeeded in pressurizing Hamas to give in or give up.

In the final analysis, Hamas has a huge moral responsibility toward thousands of Palestinian families whose children are languishing in Israeli concentration camps and dungeons.

Needless to say, these people have spent the prime of their lives in Israeli prisons so that their people will be able to live in dignity and in order to maintain the hope for freedom and liberation from evil Zionism.

Hence, we must not hesitate to proclaim and reassert the Palestinian position in this regard, namely that Shalit must stay behind bars as long as Israel insists on keeping our men, and women and children behind bars.

This position may not be popular in New York and Paris. But why show the slightest concern about what Paris and New York think in the firs place. They have always been and continue to be our direct or indirect tormentors. Our responsibility is first and foremost toward these tortured Palestinian prisoners and their suffering families who have kept our national just cause alive.

In a nutshell, our prisoners are not children of a lesser God.

Netanyahu 'Ready' to Free 1,000 Captives to Bring Shalit Home

01/07/2010 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Thursday 'conditional readiness' to release 1,000 Palestinian captives to secure the release of soldier Gilad Shalit but said that the Zionist entity will not pay an unlimited price.

In a live address to the country, Netanyahu said all Israelis wanted Shalit back safely but claimed Israel could not "pay any price" because past experience showed that many Palestinians released had returned to carry out attacks on Israelis.

"Israel is willing to pay a heavy price for the release of Shalit, but not 'at any price.' This is the truth, and I am saying it now," Netanyahu claimed, adding that Israel will continue to make every effort to bring Shalit home while maintaining the security of Israel's citizens.

Netanyahu's address comes four days after the family and supporters of Shalit began a protest march from the Shalit's Galilee home to the prime minister's official residence in occupied Jerusalem.

Netanyahu said the decision to free Palestinian captives "is a difficult decision for any government." Despie this, he said he had agreed to the latest offer from Hamas. "The German mediator's offer which we agreed to accept called for the release of 1,000 people. This is the price I am prepared to pay to bring Gilad home. I said yes to the deal and it is ready for immediate implementation," Netanyahu said.

He was referring to a moment last December when a deal and a prisoner exchange appeared imminent but in the end never came about. Media reports at the time spoke of 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Shalit, although there was never official confirmation from the Israeli side.

"I am steadfast on two basic principles: The first principle is that dangerous terrorists will not return to the West Bank from where they can continue to harm Israel's citizens," Netanyahu went on to say, adding that the freed prisoners could go to Tunisia or the Gaza Strip or any other place, but not to the West Bank because this would afford them access to Israeli cities.

The second sticking point Netanyahu mentioned was "arch-terrorists." They would not be freed as part of the deal, he added.

Fatah: American reservations blocking reconciliation

[ 04/07/2010 - 08:46 AM ]

WASHINGTON, (PIC)-- Sabri Saidam, one of the Fatah leaders and a close associate of its leader Mahmoud Abbas, said that the American administration's reservations on the Palestinian reconciliation were blocking it.

Lebanese daily Assafir quoted Saidam, advisor to Abbas in technology affairs and deputy secretary of Fatah's revolutionary council, as saying that the Palestinian reconciliation would not be a burden on the peace process.

He feared the possibility of turning Palestine into separate mini-states in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, warning that such a possibility would not serve peace and security in the region.

The Fatah leader, who is currently visiting the USA, said that breaking the siege on Gaza and achieving reconciliation were Palestinian priorities at the present stage.

SAYYED FADLULLAH'S BIOGRAPHY

Birth and Childhood
Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlullah was born in Iraq’s holy city of Al-Najaf on November 16, 1935 /1354H. He was raised and educated by his father who greatly influenced the life and thought of his son.

His father Sayyed Abdul Ra`ouf Fadlullah: Born in 1325H/, went to Najaf and studied with Mirza Fatah` Ash-Shahid, Sayyed Abul Hassan Al-Asfahani, and Sayyed Abdul Hadi Al-Shirazi. He became a prominent scholar and a widely sought and appreciated teacher. He stayed with his brother, Sayyed Muhammad Sa’id and went to the south of Lebanon when the latter died. There he continued his studies and became a religious authority capable of issuing religious decrees (Fatwas). He was known for his piety asceticism and good morals. He had a great influence on his son who benefited a lot from him until he died.

Education:
Sayyed Fadlullah went first to a traditional school (Kuttab) to learn the Quran and the basic skills of reading and writing. Then he went to a modern school where he stayed for two years and studied in the third and fourth elementary classes. Sayyed Fadlullah began Islamic theology studies at a very young age. He also used to take great interest in the whole cultural and literary scene, which he followed up by reading Lebanese, Egyptian and Iraqi magazines and newspapers.

Sayyed Fadlullah also studied the Arabic language, logic and Jurisprudence, and some philosophy. He did not need another teacher until he studied the second part of the course known as Kifayat al Usul which he studied with an Iranian teacher called Sheikh Mujtaba Al-Linkarani. He attended the Bahth Al-Khariji (External Research) in which the teacher does not restrict himself to a certain book but gives more or less free lectures.

Teachers
Sayyed Fadlullah attended the Bahth Al-Khariji of some of the greatest scholars and religious authorities of that time including: Sayyed Abulkassim Al Khou’i, Sayyed Mohsen AL-Hakim, Sayyed Mahmoud Shah`roudi, Sheikh Hussein Hilli, Mullah Sadra Al-Qafkazy who was known as Sheikh Sadra Al-Badkoubi.

Academic and literary Activities
When Sayyed Fadlullah was only ten or eleven years old, he joined hands with some friends in publishing a hand written magazine they called Al-Adab. He then took part in editing the Al-Adab magazine (1380H) that was published by Jammat Al- Ulama (Scholars’ Group) at Najaf. He used to write the second editorial called “Kalimatuna” (Our Message) and these articles were then compiled in a book called, “Our issues in the light of Islam”. The first ”Our Message” editorial was written by Martyr Sayyed Mohammed Baqir As-Sadr.

Back to Lebanon
After 21 years of studying under the prominent teachers of the Najaf religious university, Sayyed Fadlullah concluded his studies in 1966/1385 H and returned to Lebanon. He had already visited Lebanon in 1952 where he recited a poem mourning the death of Sayyed Muhsin Al-Amin.

In 1966 he received a invitation from a group of believers who had established a society called ”Usrat Ataakhi” (The family of Fraternity) to come and live with them in the area of Nabaa’a in Eastern Beirut. Sayyed Fadlullah agreed, especially as the conditions at Najaf impelled him to leave.

In Naba’a, he began organizing cultural seminars and delivering religious speeches that discussed social issues as well.

Nevertheless, his main concern was to continue to develop his academic work. Thus he founded a religious school called” The Islamic Sharia Institute” in which several students enrolled and later became prominent religious scholars including Martyr Sheikh Ragib Harb., one of the main founders of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon. He also established a public library, a women’s cultural center and a medical clinic.

When the Lebanese civil war erupted in 1975, he was forced to leave the Naba’a neighborhood. He moved to the Southern suburb of Beirut where he gave priority to teaching and educating the people. He used the Mosque as his center for holding daily prayers giving lessons in Quran interpretation, as well as religious and moral speeches. He even opened a religious school in the Sayyeda Zeinab (daughter of Imam Ali and sister of Imam Hussein pbut) neighborhood in Damascus, where he used to teach regularly.

Resistance:
Sayyed Fadlullah was a staunch fighter against arrogance and for the cause of freedom. He supported the international liberation movements and devoted his efforts to guide and back the international Islamic movements.

In this context, he took part along with Martyr Sayyed Muhammad Baqir As-Sadr in founding the Islamic Movement in Iraq as a first step towards an Islamic movement in the Shiite sphere. Then, in the late seventies, he announced his support to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic movement in Lebanon with all the means possible to ensure its success: speaking, writing, and defending its major arguments at every opportunity.

In his sermons, he strictly called for armed resistance to the Israeli occupations of Lebanon and Palestine, along with opposition to the existence of Israel. The media described him as the spiritual guide of the resistance. Before long he became the target of several assassination plots executed by local regional and international intelligence services.

Attempt of Assassination:
On March 8, 1985, a car bomb equivalent to 200 kg of explosives went off at a few meters from his house in the Bir El-Abed neighborhood in Beirut’s southern suburb. 80 people were martyred and 256 were wounded, most of them were children and women. The blast destroyed a 7-story apartment building, a cinema. The attack was timed to go off as worshippers were leaving Friday Prayers. "Sayyed Fadlullah escaped injury, as a woman had stopped him at the mosque seeking a few answers to some religion-related questions.

Sayyed Fadlullah accused the US, Israel and its internal allies of being behind the explosion.

Social Activities
In addition to academic and religious activities, Sayyed Fadlullah concentrated on social activities.

His Mabarrat Association was born, and it soon became one of the greatest pioneers and models in this field. The association which began its activities by building orphanages expanded and began to build social and medical centers as well as mosques.

The Mabarrat has now nine orphanages, two medical centers nine schools, one Vocational School, eight Islamic centers and other Media and Information centers.

Sayyed Fadlullah’s Contributions to the Civil Society and the Downtrodden

Hanan Awarekeh

04/07/2010 “We have to improve our education and gain more scientific knowledge. If we do not make the best of our time now, we will not be able to build our future or develop in the Future…”

With these words Sayyed Muhammed Hussein Fadlullah used to address people, especially the youths, to benefit from every single minute of their lives. For that reason, his eminence opened many religious and social institutions that were mainly founded with the contributions of many Muslim benefactors.

In 1966 Sayyed Fadlalluh received an invitation from a group of believers who had established a society called “Usrat Ataakhi” (The family of Fraternity) to live with them in the Nabba’a neighborhood in Eastern Beirut. There, he started organizing cultural seminars and delivering religious speeches that tackled various topics.

Sayyed Fadlullah’s main concern was to continue to develop his academic work. He founded a religious school called” The Islamic Sharia Institute” in which several students enrolled and later became prominent religious scholars including Martyr Sheikh Raghib Harb. He also established a public library, a women’s cultural center and a medical clinic.

When the Lebanese civil war (1975-1989) forced him to leave the area, he moved to Beirut’s southern suburb where his top priority was to teach and educate people in this historically abandoned part of the country. For Sayyed Fadlullah, the mosque was the place to pray, teach, preach, and mark religious occasions, like Ashoura.

He soon started to teach Islamic principles, jurisprudence, and morals at an academic level.

Sayyed Fadlullah has also founded a religious school in the Sayyeda Zainab neighborhood in the Syrian capital, Damascus, where he used to teach regularly.

In addition to academic and religious activities, Sayyed Fadlullah concentrated on helping the downtrodden in compliance with God’s saying in the holy Quran: “Restrain thyself along with those who cry unto their Lord at morn and evening, seeking His Countenance; and let not thine eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance, who followeth his own lust and whose case hath been abandoned.” (S18:v28)

Sayyed Fadlullah shared the people’s grievances, and made great efforts to find solutions for their problems. With the advent of the Lebanese civil war and the escalation of the Zionist aggression, he recognized quite early the enormous magnitude of the social problems that had generated. People were being killed, displaced and unemployed. He made every possible effort and established orphanages and schools for the children of martyrs and the poor as well as people with special needs.

Thus, the Mabarrat (charitable institution) Association was established, and it soon became one of the greatest models in this field. The Mabarrat established orphanages and expanded others, and built social and medical centers as well as mosques:

It helps about a 100 thousand people every year, and the value of its average yearly donations, over the last few years, amounted to around 6 billion Lebanese pounds ($4 million).

Sayyed Fadlullah went all the way to fight ignorance, sectarianism, and reactionism, using the mosques, first in Bir- al-Abed and then in Haret Hreik as schools to teach ethics, spread knowledge and call for action. He also gave lectures in many universities, schools, social and cultural clubs, in an effort to emphasize Islamic values among the youth and the nation as a whole.

His eminence also lectured on Islam in many countries including, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France India, Iran, Algeria. He participated in scores of Islamic and intellectual conferences around the world.
