Norman G.Finkelstein, de la culpabilité en… by clap36

I hardly agree with Norman Finkelstein on some fundamental issues. Yet, the American academic always manages to produce some very interesting and astute observations. In this one-year-old video, Finkelstein touches on some hot topics:
  1. The Holocaust industry is counter productive.
  2. Zionism/anti Zionism is an out of date irrelevant ideological dichotomy.
  3. Holocaust denial laws are absurd.
The Holocaust industry has backfired suggests Finkelstein, “the countries where the holocaust is most exploited by the Holocaust industry, happen to be the countries that are most hostile towards Israel”
Finkelstein contends that Zionism (or anti Zionism) is an archaic notion that has very little to do with contemporary Israel-“It doesn’t make any sense anymore to talk about Zionism because it just becomes an ideological issue which obscures, confuses more than shed the light on. Israel is a State and it should be held to the standard of law and morality as any other State….”
On Holocaust denial Finkelstein says
it is just a crazy law”
And about Bernard-Henri Lévy and the French Finkelstein says –
what can you say about a country that thinks of Bernard Henry Levi as a philosopher.”
Whether one agrees with Finkelstein or not, it is pretty impossible to deny the fact that the veteran academic presents a unique voice. Finkelstein certainly moves far beyond the old leftist and Judeo-centric clichés. It is hardly surprising that some cult enthusiasts within the Palestinian solidarity movement want to see him silenced.

Iran snubs US on nuclear talks venue

Last week, Israel-Firster Hillary Clinton announced that the upcoming meeting of the so-called “P5+1″ on Iran’s nuclear program will be held in Istanbul on April 13. EU’s Cathrine Ashton, however said that the venue for the talk is still under consideration. Several Iranian lawmakers have objected Turkey being the venue due to Ankara’s open support for the USreali plan to bring regime change in Damascus.

Tehran has indicated that it is considering another country, instead of Turkey, as the venue for the multifaceted talks with the P5+1. China, Iraq and Kazakhstan have offered to host the talks. However, it seems Tehran favors Baghdad as venue for the talk. Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari has confirmed that he had received a request from his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi.

It seem, Ankara has backed-down from playing US poodle over this issue. On Friday, Turkish foreign minister Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu in a phone conversation with Iran’s secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili lauded Tehran’s choice of Baghdad as venue for P5+1 talks as “wise”.

Last month, Erdogan-Davutoglu received dress-down from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei in Mashhad on Ankara’s covert war on Syria. Ahmadinejad, on the other hand kept Erdogan waiting for a whole day in Tehran before he met Turkish leader. Ankara has, since, reduced its oil import from Iran by 20%.

Barack Obama administration prefers to see P5+1 meeting in Turkey in order to boost Turkey as the pro-Israel regional power over the Islamic Republic. However, it may not have other choice but to accept America’s modern miracle of ‘stablity’, Iraq. Tehran understands, Ankara’s desperate regional realignment with Saudi Abrabi, Qatar and Egypt to project Turkey as number one regional power. However, Ankara’s double standards in Syria and Bahrain, have resulted in loosing its special relations with Tehran.

While Turkey is receiving billions of petro-dollars from Saudi Arabia and Qatar – the US is installing a missile defense system in Turkey’s Malatya region whose sole agenda is to neutralize Iran’s missile capabilities in a conflict with Israel – that’s to say, weaken Iran’s capabilities to retaliate in the event of an Israeli military strike. The ABM project is predicated on GCC-Iran animosities and it doesn’t speak well of the US diplomacy to be seen so openly feeding on them,” says India’s former ambassador MK Bhadrakumar.

Quite obviously, the Syrian crisis and attendant regional alignments have become the core issue in Turkey-Iran relations. Tehran can learn to live with the US’ ABM radar on the Anatolian plains; it can survive reduction in Turkey’s oil purchases; it can do without Erdogan’s certificate for its nuclear program; it is indifferent where the oil sheikhs park the ‘green money’ in Turkey. But Syria is the ‘red line’. And what Turkey has been doing in Syria is completely unacceptable,” says MK Bhadrakumar

Erdogan Warns: Turkey to Take “Steps” If Syria Violence Doesn’t Stop

Local Editor

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned on Sunday his country would “implement steps” if the violence in Syria was not ended.

"We will patiently follow the process until April 10", Erdogan was quoted as saying by daily Hurriyet on Sunday.
But "we will implement steps" if violence does not stop after that, he added.

The Turkish premier did not specify what measures his government would take. However, Turkish press reported that several scenarios are being discussed, including the setting up of a buffer zone along the border with Syria.

Erdogan also said the number of refugees was increasing.

"The numbers are continuously increasing. We are taking measures, we have no thought of closing our doors," said Erdogan urging the United Nations particularly Annan to take a “stronger stance”.

Syria: April 10 Inaccurate Date, No pullback without Guarantees by Militants

Local Editor

Syria said on Sunday it would not pullback its forces from towns without written guarantees by armed groups, adding that April 10 was not an accurate date for the implementation of UN-Arab league envoy Kofi Annan plan.

assad annanThe foreign ministry said in statement: “To say that Syria will pull back its forces from towns on April 10 is inaccurate, Kofi Annan having not yet presented written guarantees on the acceptance by armed terrorist groups of a halt to all violence”.

"Mr Annan has not submitted written guarantees from the governments of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey on stopping their funding to terrorist groups," the ministry added.
"Syria is not going to repeat what happened in the presence of Arab observers when armed forces left towns," the ministry statement said.

"Armed terrorist groups reorganized and rearmed to control entire neighborhoods, committing every possible terrorist act, killing and kidnapping people and destroying public and private property."

It said that during his meeting in Damascus with President Bashar al-Assad, "Annan said his mission was based on respect for Syrian sovereignty."

"He said he would work to stop the violence, disarm armed groups... initiate a comprehensive national dialogue with opposition movements in Syria," the ministry said, adding that "it is this principle on which Syria accepted Annan's mission and his six-point plan."

The ministry also expressed Syria's willingness to cooperate with the envoy.
"Syria is ready to continue cooperating with Mr Annan and we will continue to inform him of the steps we are taking to implement the plan, in the hope of obtaining documented guarantees," it said.

DAMASCUS HASN'T INFORMED ANNAN OF APRIL 10 AS FINAL DATE

SYRIAN DAILY WATAN LOGOMeanwhile, Syrian Daily al-Watan quoted a high-ranking official as saying that Syria hasn’t informed Annan it would implement the peace plan in April 10 as a final date.

However the official said Damascus has told the UN envoy it had withdrawn heavy weapons from several areas like Homs, Idlib and Zabadani, in order to continue the withdrawal of the remained units and not all till Aril 10.

The official also said that the date was considered as a challenge for Annan in order to make the other side comply with the plan.

“As Damascus has offered a written commitment of Annan proposal, it calls on him to offer written guarantees of the other side’s commitment”.

Egypt: Ex-Spy Chief Suleiman to Run for Presidency

Feeling the heat, afraid that Khairat al-Shater may be rejected, Stipid "Muslim" Brothers, registered Mursi, the Freedom and Justice Party as alternative candidate for the elections.
Pictures ans links are added to show that Omar Suleiman was all the time the Israel's alternative for Mubarak.
The angle of death who stand behind the killings of protesters last year dare to run for president in the country's landmark election. Thanks for the oportionist "stupidhood" for destroying a great popular revolution

Egypt's former spy chief to run for president

Former Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, who was the main element behind the killings of protesters last year, says he will run for president in the country's landmark election.

Egyptian media said on Friday that Suleiman changed his mind after a group of supporters gathered in the capital, Cairo, to urge him to run for the presidency.

Earlier, Suleiman had ruled out his candidacy, complaining of "arduous" procedures.

"I was very moved by your strong stand," Suleiman said in a statement.

Egyptian workers face US-backed counter-revolution

"The call you issued today was an order, and I am a soldier who has never in my life disobeyed an order ... I cannot but reply to the call and join the race despite the obstacles and difficulties," he claimed.

Sunday is the registration deadline for Egypt's first presidential race since former dictator Hosni Mubarak's downfall.

The pillar of the ousted regime, appointed vice president last January when the Egyptian revolution was gaining momentum, was directly involved in the killing of protesters who revolted against Mubarak's three-decade rule.

Born in 1936 to a well-off family in the southern town of Qena, Suleiman graduated from Cairo's military academy in 1955. Under Mubarak, Suleiman served as a negotiating partner for the United States and "Israel", orchestrating a series of short-lived truces.

Hundreds of demonstrators suspicious of US backing for Suleiman's plan to control the transition had declared that after all, Suleiman was head of the intelligence services that played a commanding role in suppressing political dissent and free speech.

He also served the US in co-operating with its rendition of alleged "terrorists", some of whom were interrogated under torture on behalf of the Americans in Egyptian jails.

Suleiman's candidacy comes as the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, the dominant party in the parliament, has nominated Khairat al-Shater as its presidential runner.

On Thursday, thousands of Egyptians voiced support for Shater as he registered for the elections. Former foreign minister and Arab League chief Amr Mussa is also on the list of forerunners.

“Iran Capable to Produce Nukes but Won’t Do It”

Local Editor

Iran has the knowledge and scientific
capability to produce nuclear weapons
but will never do so
Iran has the knowledge and scientific capability to produce nuclear weapons but will never do so, a prominent lawmaker said, The Associated Press reported Saturday.

Gholamreza Mesbahi Moghadam said Iran can easily produce the highly enriched uranium that is used to build atomic bombs but it is not Tehran’s policy to go that route.

“Iran has the scientific and technological capability to produce (a) nuclear weapon, but will never choose this path,” Moghadam told the parliament’s news website, icana.ir, late Friday.

The U.S. and its allies accuse Iran of using its civilian nuclear program as a cover to develop nuclear weapons. Iran denies the charges, saying its program is peaceful and geared toward generating electricity and producing radioisotopes to treat cancer patients.

The Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has repeatedly insisted that his country is not seeking nuclear weapons, saying that holding such arms is a sin as well as “useless, harmful and dangerous.”

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has also asserted that if Iran one day decides to build nuclear weapons, it will do so openly and won’t fear anybody.

Uranium enrichment in IranAccording to the Associated Press, Iran enriches uranium to about 3.5 percent to produce nuclear fuel for its future reactors and also to around 20 percent to fuel a research reactor that produces medical isotopes to treat cancer treatment. Uranium has to be enriched to more than 90 percent to be used for a nuclear weapon.

The U.N. nuclear agency has also confirmed that centrifuges at the Fordo site near Iran’s holy city of Qom are churning out uranium enriched to 20 percent, and says uranium enriched to that level can more quickly be turned into weapons-grade material.

Obama Messages Iran via Turkey

Local Editor

US President Barack Obama (left) and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyib ErdoghanPresident Obama has signaled Iran that the United States would accept an Iranian civilian nuclear program if Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei can back up his recent public claim that his nation “will never pursue nuclear weapons,” The Washington Post reported Friday.

The verbal message was sent through Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who visited Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei last week. A few days before traveling to Iran, Erdogan had held a two-hour meeting with Obama in Seoul, in which they discussed what Erdogan would tell the Ayatollah Khamenei about the nuclear issue and Syria.

However, “Obama didn’t specify whether Iran would be allowed to enrich uranium domestically as part of the civilian program the United States would endorse,” the American journalist, David Ignatius wrote, who has close ties with the White House officials.

Obama's proposal, Ignatius said, stated that Sayyed Khamenei must confirm his statements made on February 22 through a tangible commitment, when he said that “the Iranian nation has never pursued and will never pursue nuclear weapons.”

“The challenge for negotiators is whether it’s possible to turn Khamenei’s public rhetoric into a serious and verifiable commitment not to build a bomb,” the daily added.

The Supreme Leader and various Iranian officials have repeatedly declared that Iran is not after the atomic bomb production.

During the recent months, the unsuccessful Zionist attempts towards the U.S. administration to attack Iran were circulated by media outlets.

The revealed facts of Washington Post came on the eve of negotiations resumption of the P5+1 on the nuclear file of Iran, scheduled for next week.

Sy Hersh: 'Our Men in Iran?'

Via FLC

From the air, the terrain of the Department of Energy’s Nevada National Security Site, with its arid high plains and remote mountain peaks, has the look of northwest Iran. The site, some sixty-five miles northwest of Las Vegas, was once used for nuclear testing, and now includes a counterintelligence training facility and a private airport capable of handling Boeing 737 aircraft. It’s a restricted area, and inhospitable—in certain sections, the curious are warned that the site’s security personnel are authorized to use deadly force, if necessary, against intruders.

It was here that the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) conducted training, beginning in 2005, for members of the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, a dissident Iranian opposition group known in the West as the M.E.K. The M.E.K. had its beginnings as a Marxist-Islamist student-led group and, in the nineteen-seventies, it was linked to the assassination of six American citizens. It was initially part of the broad-based revolution that led to the 1979 overthrow of the Shah of Iran. But, within a few years, the group was waging a bloody internal war with the ruling clerics, and, in 1997, it was listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the State Department. In 2002, the M.E.K. earned some international credibility by publicly revealing—accurately—that Iran had begun enriching uranium at a secret underground location. Mohamed ElBaradei, who at the time was the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations’ nuclear monitoring agency, told me later that he had been informed that the information was supplied by the Mossad. The M.E.K.’s ties with Western intelligence deepened after the fall of the Iraqi regime in 2003, and JSOC began operating inside Iran in an effort to substantiate the Bush Administration’s fears that Iran was building the bomb at one or more secret underground locations. Funds were covertly passed to a number of dissident organizations, for intelligence collection and, ultimately, for anti-regime terrorist activities. Directly, or indirectly, the M.E.K. ended up with resources like arms and intelligence. Some American-supported covert operations continue in Iran today, according to past and present intelligence officials and military consultants.
Despite the growing ties, and a much-intensified lobbying effort organized by its advocates, M.E.K. has remained on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations—which meant that secrecy was essential in the Nevada training. “We did train them here, and washed them through the Energy Department because the D.O.E. owns all this land in southern Nevada,” a former senior American intelligence official told me. “We were deploying them over long distances in the desert and mountains, and building their capacity in communications—coördinating commo is a big deal.” (A spokesman for J.S.O.C. said that “U.S. Special Operations Forces were neither aware of nor involved in the training of M.E.K. members.”)
The training ended sometime before President Obama took office, the former official said. In a separate interview, a retired four-star general, who has advised the Bush and Obama Administrations on national-security issues, said that he had been privately briefed in 2005 about the training of Iranians associated with the M.E.K. in Nevada by an American involved in the program. They got “the standard training,” he said, “in commo, crypto [cryptography], small-unit tactics, and weaponry—that went on for six months,” the retired general said. “They were kept in little pods.” He also was told, he said, that the men doing the training were from JSOC, which, by 2005, had become a major instrument in the Bush Administration’s global war on terror. “The JSOC trainers were not front-line guys who had been in the field, but second- and third-tier guys—trainers and the like—and they started going off the reservation. ‘If we’re going to teach you tactics, let me show you some really sexy stuff…’ ”
It was the ad-hoc training that provoked the worried telephone calls to him, the former general said. “I told one of the guys who called me that they were all in over their heads, and all of them could end up trouble unless they got something in writing. The Iranians are very, very good at counterintelligence, and stuff like this is just too hard to contain.” The site in Nevada was being utilized at the same time, he said, for advanced training of élite Iraqi combat units. (The retired general said he only knew of the one M.E.K.-affiliated group that went though the training course; the former senior intelligence official said that he was aware of training that went on through 2007.)
Allan Gerson, a Washington attorney for the M.E.K., notes that the M.E.K. has publicly and repeatedly renounced terror. Gerson said he would not comment on the alleged training in Nevada. But such training, if true, he said, would be “especially incongruent with the State Department’s decision to continue to maintain the M.E.K. on the terrorist list. How can the U.S. train those on State’s foreign terrorist list, when others face criminal penalties for providing a nickel to the same organization?”
Robert Baer, a retired C.I.A. agent who is fluent in Arabic and had worked under cover in Kurdistan and throughout the Middle East in his career, initially had told me in early 2004 of being recruited by a private American company—working, so he believed, on behalf of the Bush Administration—to return to Iraq. “They wanted me to help the M.E.K. collect intelligence on Iran’s nuclear program,” Baer recalled. “They thought I knew Farsi, which I did not. I said I’d get back to them, but never did.” Baer, now living in California, recalled that it was made clear to him at the time that the operation was “a long-term thing—not just a one-shot deal.”...........
Five Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated since 2007. M.E.K. spokesmen have denied any involvement in the killings, but early last month NBC News quoted two senior Obama Administration officials as confirming that the attacks were carried out by M.E.K. units that were financed and trained by Mossad, the Israeli secret service. NBC further quoted the Administration officials as denying any American involvement in the M.E.K. activities. The former senior intelligence official I spoke with seconded the NBC report that the Israelis were working with the M.E.K., adding that the operations benefitted from American intelligence. He said that the targets were not “Einsteins”; “The goal is to affect Iranian psychology and morale,” he said, and to “demoralize the whole system—nuclear delivery vehicles, nuclear enrichment facilities, power plants.” Attacks have also been carried out on pipelines. He added that the operations are “primarily being done by M.E.K. through liaison with the Israelis, but the United States is now providing the intelligence.” An adviser to the special-operations community told me that the links between the United States and M.E.K. activities inside Iran had been long-standing. “Everything being done inside Iran now is being done with surrogates,” he said.
The sources I spoke to were unable to say whether the people trained in Nevada were now involved in operations in Iran or elsewhere. But they pointed to the general benefit of American support. “The M.E.K. was a total joke,” the senior Pentagon consultant said, “and now it’s a real network inside Iran. How did the M.E.K. get so much more efficient?” ........”

Syria Activists In Photos: Peaceful Protestors or Armed Terrorists?

Western media has been running repeated footage of claiming to show Syria engaging in a brutal crackdown on innocent civilian protestors? These photos, videos and international observers tell a different story. You decide.

Syria Activists - Peaceful Protestors Or Armed Terrorists?
Syria Activists - Peaceful Protestors Or Armed Terrorists?

Before your view the photos below, go ahead and turn on CNN. Wait until the segment on the crisis in Syria comes on… they have been playing it repeatedly ever 15 minutes or so for last few days.
Wait until your heart starts bleeding as the anchor describes how the brutal Syrian regime is indiscriminately reigning mortar and rocket fire down on the besieged City of Homs, indiscriminately killing innocent civilian protestors including woman and children.

Note how the anchor says the video is from “activists” trapped inside the city and CNN cannot confirm the authenticity of the videos because foreign media has been forbidden from entering Syria. The new clip then turns to their “activist” of the day, referring to him only by a convenient common American name that U.S. citizens can identify with. The activist goes on to talk about how he will fears he will be killed by tomorrow unless the International community intervenes with military actions to overthrow the brutal Assad regime. The anchor then proceeds to describe how people are bleeding to death in street and people can’t even safely bury their dead, as the days civilian death toll climbs to over 100 people.

Now that your heart is bleeding, a doctor comes on the air to give the story further credibility and get your blood boiling.

You think to yourself in anger and shock, “What the fuck!! Those poor people. Why the hell don’t we sound our marines in and take that motherfucker out”. As you do, the anchor asks you the critical question as if he is reading your mind. “Do you think there should be military action in Syria? If so, do you think the U.S. should be involved?” The anchor then gives you a link to where you can go online and voice your opinion.

As you go there and answer, a full team of DHS goons will be monitoring your comments in real time and letting the President and the Pentagon know if there is enough popular support to invade Syria.

Now join me back in reality and take a look at the photos of these so called peaceful activists. After you check out these photos, if you are brave enough to take the blue pill and go down the rabbit hole even further, check out the videos on the bottom of this article and (even more on this page) showing these activists shooting guns, rockets at the police and security forces. Hell there is even a video of them running through the city with a tank and firing at Syrian army.

Finally, check out this report from the Arab League of Nations, independent observers sent to Syria, which will tell you in detail how everything you just watch on CNN is a load of bullshit.

People have described Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to Reuters as a head of state fully abreast of events on the ground – not the mere puppet of hardliners that some have portrayed – “relaxed and phlegmatic”, and determined to see off the challenge, offering some reforms, strictly on his own terms. While few rate his long-term prospects highly, all is not lost, at least for now. Assad’s troops swiftly drove back the more lightly armed rebels from the outskirts of Damascus and many foresee a long struggle yet for a country, at the heart of the Middle East, that is trapped in a “balance of weakness”. The FAKE Homs Massacre Being Repeatedly Played On Western News Outlets

Armed Terrorist Groups faked a Massacre in Homs.
They killed Civilians and Army Members and made a fake Video
Mrs. Thana al-Mohamad, a resident of Homs, said that she recognized two corpses of her relatives among those shown by fabrications satellites, who were kidnapped since 17 days in Homs Governorate. Khalid al-Shalabi, another resident of Homs, said to Syrian TV, that some members of the armed terrorist groups are disguised in military uniforms shooting randolmly at the citizens of Homs.
Tens of innocent civilians were kidnapped by armed terrorist groups in different places inside Syria; many of them were tortured, raped and killed at the hands of the terrorists, supported by some countries like Qatar, Turkey, France and many others.
However, the TV satellites of lies and fabrications did not highlight the fact that had the killed were hit by mortars, as they claim, their bodies would have been turned into tiny pieces.
”The TV Satellites of instigation, partners with the armed terrorist groups and so-called the Istanbul council, have been launching a hysterical campaign of provocation and incitement to the shedding of the more of Syrian blood as to influence the stances of some countries at the UN Security Council,” added the source.

Syrian Rebels Captured With Israeli Weapons

Syria – ABC News (AU) expose the lies of Reuters, ABC and other Medias

Comparing CNN coverage Of Syria To The Arab League Of Nations Report

The league is working on a proposal for al-Assad to transfer power to his vice president following the formation of a national unity government.
The group’s plan calls for the government to start talks with the opposition within two weeks and for the formation of a new government within two months. A new constitutional council would follow, as would a plan for parliamentary and presidential elections.
The proposal is the clearest indication to date from the Arab League on what its member states would like to see happen in Syria. The league plans to take the idea to the United Nations in a bid to build international support.
El-Araby and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Jasem Al Hamad sent a letter to the United Nations Tuesday requesting a meeting with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the league’s proposed national unity government for Syria, according to an Arab League official. The official asked not to be named because he is not authorized to speak with the media.
The ALoN report directly contradicts the comments made by Susan Rick, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, who accused Assad of failing to meet the Arab Leaque’s demands instead choosing to continue to kill innocent civilians even in the press of the ALoN.
Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said the situation in Syria “continues to deteriorate dramatically” and the Security Council “should fully support the Arab League’s efforts to broker an end to the bloodshed and a peaceful transition to democracy in Syria.”
“Despite the presence of Arab League monitors, the regime is ignoring its commitments to the Arab League plan, including by failing to end all acts of violence and to protect Syrian civilians,” she said. “Scores of civilians are killed every day. Thousands of political detainees remain incarcerated across the country, many at serious risk of torture. As a result of the regime’s failure to fulfill the requirements of the Arab League plan, there are more and more calls from the region for Security Council involvement.”
CNN goes on to quote a Syrian activist complaining army forces still surrounding a residential neighborhood.
“I have a relative who saw missiles coming into the city early morning yesterday, three tanks and one armor were seen near Bab Al Qibly neighborhood, which is still surrounded with army forces until now, bombing is heard continuously since the morning, this neighborhood is being attacked since then because mass demonstrations were held the under the protection of Free Syrian Army.”
The ALoN makes clear that there were infact 4 tanks that Syria could not remove – 3 BECAUSE THEY ARE DISABLED AND 1 UNDER CONTROL OF THE REBEL / FREE SYRIA ARMY.
CNN quotes the UN Resolution, claiming it echoes the Arab League of Nations report.
The Security Council “condemns the continued widespread and gross violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms by the Syrian authorities such as the use of force against civilians, arbitrary executions, killing and persecution of protesters and members of the media, arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, and interference with access to medical treatment, torture, sexual violence, and ill treatment, including against children,” says the draft, which was written by the French and is one of several in circulation.
In truth, the ALoN report makes it clear that these claims are outright falsehoods and “gross exaggerations” perpetrated by the media.
CNN continues to report that Syria is refusing to allow the International media into Syria and refusing to remove tanks from cities.
The 22-member Arab League has called on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime to stop violence against civilians, to free political detainees, to remove tanks and weapons from cities, and to allow outsiders — including the international news media — to travel freely in Syria.
The ALoN report makes clear that internation media is infact inside of Syria, documenting the pressence of over 100 internations news organizations inside the Syria.
Furthermore, this video shows the Syrian rebels using a tank to launch attacks.
