“This woman is especially dangerous because she is so attractive and can put a pretty face on a very ugly movement.”

The Holocaust of the Germans
Born in Australia and now a British national, Lady Michèle Renouf is an opponent of holocaust denial laws who has been attacked by the “usual suspects,” including the ADL and the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Hard to believe she got away with making this speech in Canada without getting arrested, but maybe the RCMP was taking a nap that day.
If you haven’t seen the video Hellstorm, documenting the bombing of German cities during the World War II and the horrendous toll upon civilians, you might want to check it out, as it may help you to understand why Lady Renouf says the word “holocaust” should be applied to the German people. In this speech, she also makes interesting use of the word “predators.”
Lady Renouf, by the way, is a former ballet dancer and beauty queen, and though presently in her sixties, as you can see she is still quite attractive. Perhaps one of the more amusing Zionist attacks upon her came several years ago from the Simon Wiesenthal Center:
I suspect that from the standpoint of those who may have a vested interest in propping up the holocaust industry, a speech such as that given here by the lady could indeed be perceived as “especially dangerous,” and of course the real “ugly movement” is Zionism, not so-called “revisionism,” given that we don’t exactly see revisionists bombing UN schools and killing children in Gaza.

JVP and Alison Weir – A Dissident View — Ned Rosenberg*
JVP has disassociated from a number of activists working for the liberation of Palestinians, including Gilad Atzmon, Greta Berlin (founder of Free Gaza) and now Alison Weir, who seeks to disseminate unbiased information about IP through her website If Americans Knew.org and presentations. JVP’s recent public statement concerning Weir specifically, credited to Anonymous, is a confused document. I examine some parts of this statement. Gilad Atzmon has commented insightfully on this public statement already and I will simply try to add to his work.
Alison’s mistake was her appearance on ‘Clay Douglas’s white supremacist radio show’ five years ago. JVP’s statement throws down the anti-racist gauntlet “… Clay Douglas is concerned primarily with the survival of the White race and sees malign Jewish influence everywhere. His racist, anti-Jewish, and anti-gay rhetoric can be found across the front pages of his multiple websites.” Yet, transcribing this pronouncement suggests a very different racism: “JVP is concerned primarily with the survival of the Jewish race and sees malign gentile influence everywhere. JVP’s racist, anti-gentile rhetoric can be found across its website, including ideological statements condemning “Americans,” and assaults on other activists who step outside its boundaries.” Alison is further cited for failing to defend Jews when Douglas launched into The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. As Gilad notes, Alison has no duty to defend Jews, especially given her devotion to Americans, as such. In JVP’s estimate, Alison’s error is all the more grievous since “Americans” are now the bad guys regarding IP, an important distinction in rejecting Alison’s work.
Unsurprisingly, divorce from these activists is not the end of the line. The organization continues to assault them with behind-the-scenes character assassinations and interventions to forestall their speaking engagements. Alison Weir reports several such instances of JVP interference and Atzmon documents the outspoken attempt of the Denver JVP to stop his appearance there. These efforts are disturbing to some JVP members who did not envision interfering with the free speech of other activists dedicated to Palestine at the behest of JVP’s Jewish board. JVP is now in the dirty business of judging, condemning and punishing Palestinian allies for not treating Jews or “Jewishness” with political correctness. This is probably the fate of all self-identified “Jewish” groups
As Gilad notes, JVP finds something suspicious in Alison Weir’s statement of intent for her website. This harmless statement
[Alison Weir] founded an organization to be directed by Americans without personal or family ties to the region who would research and actively disseminate accurate information to the American public.
is identified as racist because of its exclusions, a very cheap shot, in my opinion. And what then would we think of this hypothetical version:
Anonymous founded an organization to be directed by Jews with personal and family ties to the region who would research and actively disseminate accurate information to the American public.
Alison errs by insisting on diverse American researchers instead of Jews. Maybe this is just a labor dispute.
JVP’s statement proposes a progressive program which does not begin or end with IP but rather seeks continuation and long life by engaging other cases of injustices credited to, and sustained by US policies and practices across the globe. It is not happenstance that this expanded political program focused on global injustices has the virtue of placing the injustice of IP in the company of other troubling injustices credited to the craven, acquisitive very bad “American” people. The American people, after all, benefit from these abiding injustices, as in Saudi Arabia now or throughout South America routinely over the last century. JVP would like us to believe that Americans must also benefit from US support for the criminal Zionist regime in Israel, as though this support issues from the same base motives as the other instances. Were this true, then the American people are proper enablers of the oppression of Palestinians. In this schema, the American dog properly wags the American dog.
Unfortunately, the model doesn’t explain much about IP. Israel is not sustained by the American people for the sake of the benefits accruing to them because there are no such benefits. It’s an interesting game, if one has time, to try to find such a benefit. Scholars have given up in disgust while others venture that America seeks some unspecified strategic position from its support of Israel, but every such framing is really unconvincing. On net, Israel is just a very expensive adjunct to American power. American taxpayers fork over truly astonishing sums to the Zionists, directly and indirectly, and derive no benefit from so doing.
JVP’s broad attribution of cause to the bad Americans begs the question. Weknow why the US supports and sustains this particular injustice. The US does so because it is subjected to an army of well-heeled Zionist fellow travelers who work to influence the Congress, mostly through campaign contributions and other incentives, to provide such support. Certainly, it is very expensive to impact US legislators, media and institutions, but then again, consider the largesse of US taxpayers. The army consists of American Jews, American Jewish civil organizations, most American Jewish temples and synagogues, Zionist organizations, Christian Evangelicals and some defense contractors who have a bottomless interest in conflict. The model which attributes injustice in IP to “Americans”, their perfidy and exploitation, is disingenuous and indefensible. The proximal immediate cause for American support of Israel is the Jewish Lobby plain and simple. The pro Israel tail wags this American dog.
The effort to offload responsibility for the crimes of Zionism onto the “American people” is not just inadequate, but repugnant as well. Zionism is a creature of the Jewish people, not the American people. The Jewish people, its organizations and “helpers” are important accessories to the Zionist program and share responsibility for its dubious successes, especially its success in the obliteration of another people. Agents of the Jewish people are responsible for US support and this is well known and well documented. JVP’s theory, however, might be construed to provide fellow American Jews relief from the onus of the “Jewish power” accusation, the mere suggestion of which is considered anti-semitic no doubt. This nifty “two step” won’t do: The American people, their legislators, their institutions have been thoroughly compromised by the Lobby and JVP will not get away with doubletalk about this.
By taking sides in the struggle in IP “as Jews”, American Jews created a political identity out of their alleged ethnicity. It is therefore fair to suggest that Jewish power and its allies continues to tie the US to Israel, continues to tie, in JVP terms attributed to Clay, US white supremacist racism — specifically Jewish supremacist racism — to Israeli supremacist racism and its unacceptable consequences. The disingenuous attempt to sidestep the relationship of Jews worldwide to Zionism in our time, to subsume thispowerful dynamic under the umbrella of American interests, to undertake such a huge displacement of moral/ethical culpability, places JVP squarely in the pack of other Jewish organizations who fret about “what’s good for the Jews” first and foremost and which end up defending the Zionist “no choice” sanctimony.
As Atzmon demonstrates, JVP does not escape racism by proclamation. It does not free itself from racist taint simply by saying it is opposed to all racism, not when it continues to act according to its own racist conceits, e.g. Alison Weir somehow owes it to the Jews to defend them against Clay Douglas or when itcondemns white Americans for caring about white Americans, while focusing itself so obviously on what is good for the Jews. As currently constituted, JVP is not fit to join, much less lead, any progressive coalition because it will not face Jewish responsibility for IP forthrightly.

Church burning highlights danger to Palestinian heritage from Israeli extremists

A Christian cleric inspects the damage caused by a suspected arson to the complex of the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha, on the shores on the Sea of Galilee, 18 June 2015.
Atef Safadi EPA
A fire that badly damaged a church containing fifth-century mosaics, in Tabgha in the Galilee in the north of present-day Israel, has underlined the threat to Palestinian history and culture – as well as to lives and livelihoods – posed by extremists in Israel.
The fire was said to have started in several places around the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, a strong indication that it was set deliberately, according to investigators.
Hebrew graffiti painted on the outside of the church invoked biblical passages calling on the faithful to destroy the “idols” of pagans.
Christian tradition holds that the church marks the place where Jesus performed the miracle of the feeding of 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fishes. The modern-day church was built in the 1980s over early Christian remains, including a set of famous Byzantine mosaics depicting the miraculous fishes. The mosaics were not damaged in the blaze.
Images of the destruction show a completely burnt-out roof, but stone walls still standing. A local fire chief told Reuters that there was “extensive damage, both inside and out.”
Desiree Bellars, a volunteer at the church from South Africa who lives at the site, told Reuters that the blaze erupted in middle of the night: “All the electricity went out, the fire raged and the flames shot up into the sky.”
The same church suffered an earlier attack in 2014, in which Israeli youths were witnessed “pelting worshippers with stones, destroying a cross and throwing benches into the lake.”
The attack bears many of the hallmarks of settler “price tag“ attacks, assaults by extremist settler groups, many of which have been on Christian sites. Sixteen youths from West Bank settlements, including the extremist stronghold Yitzhar, were arrested soon after the attack, but released just a few hours later without charge.
Other sites that have suffered similar attacks include another church in Tabgha and a mosque in Fureidis, both in the Galilee region, in 2014, and a Greek Orthodox seminary in Jerusalem in 2015.
Hate crimes
In recent weeks, tensions rose in Jerusalem when Jewish extremists barricaded themselves in the Cenacle, a site in the Old City where Christians believe Jesus and his disciples held the Last Supper. The extremists, who were forcibly removed by Israeli police, were attempting to prevent Christians from holding Pentecost celebrations there.
Monks from the Benedictine Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem have also complained that they are increasingly the targets of “hate crimes” ranging from spitting, verbal attacks and vandalism.
A spokesperson for the abbey told the Catholic News Service that so-called Hilltop Youth, Israelis associated with the most radical elements of the West Bank settler movement, were responsible for the attacks and police were doing nothing to stop them.
The Joint Arab List, a coalition of Palestinian political parties in Israel, reacted to the Tabgha arson by calling for the “immediate dismissal of Israel’s police chief, Yohanan Danino, and for right-wing extremist groups to be declared terrorist organizations,” Haaretz reports.
Despite statements that the incident would be investigated as a matter of urgency, the Joint Arab List accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of stirring up ethnic tensions.
The government “does not give the police orders and doesn’t invest any effort” to stop such attacks, the Joint Arab List said, “and the result is more radical deeds.”
“Netanyahu stands at the head of the incitement system against the Arab public in Israel, and he is guilty of the revenge attacks we witness in the morning news,” the party stated. “A so-called price-tag attack is not an act by deviants, but rather an act by calculated, thinking people that are indicative of the existence and repercussions of institutionalized racism and oppression.”

WikiLeaks Releases Secret Saudi Documents
by Stephen Lendman
The more we learn about the secret workings of despotic regimes and faux democracies like America, Britain and Israel among others, the better we understand how they extrajudicially serve powerful monied interests at the expense of popular ones.
On Friday, WikiLeaks began releasing around half a million Saudi documents - including Foreign Ministry communiques and top secret intelligence and interior ministry reports.
An initial 70,000 documents were released with much more to come. The organization said information learned shows how Riyadh "managed its alliances and consolidated its position as a regional Middle East superpower (because of its immense oil wealth), including through bribing and co-opting key individuals and institutions."
Bureaucracy is "highly centralized" with senior officials involved in most everything. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said:
Documents obtained "lift the lid on an increasingly erratic and secretive dictatorship that has not only celebrated its 100th beheading this year, but which has also become a menace to its neighbors and itself."
A regime this vile one day will go the way of all others like it before. No nation this corrupt and abhorrent can survive forever. Its day of reckoning awaits - maybe by mass internal revolt too powerful to crush.
It's one of the world's most egregious human rights abusers. Fundamental freedoms don't exist - including the right to express views freely.
Criticizing monarchal policies assures imprisonment, whippings and at times beheading. A family dictatorship gets away with virtually every imaginable human rights abuse because its massive oil reserves are highly valued by Western and other countries.
It uses its oil wealth to buy influence, attack its neighbors, repress its population and support regional terrorist groups serving its interests - including the Islamic State, Al Qaeda and other takfiris.
It's one of the world's largest weapons purchasers - hugely benefitting US and other Western arms suppliers. WikiLeaks began publishing documents obtained by a group calling itself the Yemeni Cyber Army. It hacked thousands of Saudi Foreign, Defense and Interior Ministry computers.
It released a small portion of what it obtained. WikiLeaks has access to a treasure trove of documents it intends publishing a tranche at a time.
Separately, Britain's Ministry of Defense admitted aiding US-orchestrated, Saudi-led terror bombing of Yemen - by providing technical support and weapons at the same time it keeps cutting vital social services.
It outrageously claims its complicity with mass murder and destruction complies with international law.
It compounds its disgraceful behavior saying its precision guided weapons and other destructive sophisticated ones "will be used in compliance with international law."
Campaign Against the Arms Trade's Andrew Smith said "Saudi (terror) bombing has created a humanitarian catastrophe and now we know UK weapons have contributed to it."
"These weapons have not just given military support to the bombardment, they have also provided a strong political support and underlined the closeness between the UK and Saudi governments." One rogue state supports another.
"With the destruction of Yemen and the intensifying crackdown on dissent in Saudi Arabia, the UK government is sending the message that human rights and democracy are less important than arms sales," Smith added.
Saudi-led aggression on Yemen kills and injures scores daily - mostly noncombatant men, women and children. Numbers killed conservatively top 5,000 in almost three months of terror bombing.
Numbers injured are more than double this amount. Over a million Yemenis were displaced, many more daily. Around 80% of the population endures humanitarian crisis conditions.
Unknown numbers perish daily from lack of enough food, clean water and medical care to treat illness and wounds.
Western nations support this carnage. Yemen is being raped and destroyed in plain sight - another horrendous war crime on Obama's rap sheet.

Putin: Political reform in Syria not possible through external interference
Created on Friday, 19 June 2015 18:16 |
St. PETERSBURG — Russia is ready to hold talks with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to conduct political reforms in the country, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
Putin was speaking Friday at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“We are ready to work with the president to ensure a path towards political transition so as to … move away from an armed confrontation. But that should not be done with the use of force from the outside,” he added, indicating that Russia would urge the President to work with a peaceful opposition on political reforms.
Asked whether Russia might ask President al-Assad to step down, the Russian President said it is up to the Syrian people to decide on this.
“Our fear is that Syria could plunge into the same situation as Libya and Iraq,” Putin said in response to questions at the forum.”We don’t want that … in Syria.”
On June 18th 2015, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) kicked off and will last till June 20. It gathers leading decision-makers from emerging economic powers to identify and deliberate key challenges facing Russia, emerging markets and the world at large.

Must Watch-Exposing Israel's Ultranationalist Settler Movement
It is pretty devastating to witness what Palestinians have to 'put up with'. Since Israel's election handed more power to the country's ultra-Orthodox Jewish Home, the voice of religious, nationalist settlers has grown vastly.

Yemeni Imam Assassinated for Opposing Saudi Aggression
Local Editor
Al-Qaeda militants shot dead a Yemeni Imam known for opposing the Saudi aggression on the Arab impoverished country.
Two bike-riding al-Qaeda terrorists assassinated on Friday Sheikh Abdul Bari Al-Aidrus, the Imam of al-Hazm mosque in Shibam district, which lies in the central province of Hadhramaut.
Yemen’s official Saba News Agency said the religious figure was famous for his opposition to the Saudi military aggression against Yemen.
Yemen has been since March 26 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition. Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.

Yemen’s Ansarullah, Political Factions: Saudi Derailed Geneva Peace Talks
Local Editor
Yemeni delegation comprising representatives of Ansarullah revolutionaries and other political factions accused Saudi Arabia of derailing UN-backed peace talks in Geneva, shortly after the UN envoy announced the end of negotiations without reaching an agreement.
In a press conference following the end of the Geneva Talks, the delegation stressed that the political transition in Yemen is possible just when Saudi Arabia stops pounding the impoverished country.

The delegation who firmly refuses the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen slammed “deliberate obstructions from certain sides” during the negotiations, saying the Saudi-backed group, which is representing the fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, refused to engage in “profound issues”.
Meanwhile, the delegation of the political factions warned against threat imposed by al-Qaeda militants in Yemen, noting that the Saudi-backed delegation was ignoring such a threat, and rather justifying and backing the Saudi aggression, al-Manar correspondent in Geneva reported.
He quoted the head of the delegation, Hamza al-Houthi as welcoming a humanitarian pause in Yemen.
For his part, Yehya Duwaid, the representative of General People's Congress party, urged the United Nations to take its ethical role based on international law.
Earlier on Friday, UN special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed announced the end of Geneva talks without reaching any agreement or scheduling of new rounds of negotiations.
Ahmed said that the United Nations would intensify its efforts to reach a solution in Yemen, calling on the different Yemeni factions to get committed to a ceasefire during the Holy month of Ramadan, due to the "catastrophic humanitarian situation" across the country.
