NABLUS, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the village of Awarta, south east of Nablus, and rounded up tens of women and men before midnight Saturday, local sources said.

They pointed out that the IOF soldiers entered the village in big numbers and imposed a curfew on some of its alleys before starting to break into homes.

They said that many women were taken along with their husbands, recalling that 100 women were taken from the village last Thursday along with tens of youths and men.

The IOF soldiers have been repeatedly storming Awarta over the past month after a family of settlers was murdered in nearby Itamar settlement. Dozens were taken to the nearby Hawara military camp for questioning and then released but 50 still remain in custody.

Meanwhile, IOF soldiers arrested two Palestinians in Bethlehem, a teen from Hosan village and a 50-year-old man from Doha village.

Locals said that the IOF soldiers searched many civilian homes before the arrests.
