GAZA, (PIC)-- PA minister of justice Mohammed Al-Ghoul on Sunday welcomed the Arab foreign ministers' decision to form a committee of lawyers and jurists that would file a war crimes lawsuit at the international court of justice against Israeli leaders.
Ghoul appealed to the Arab league and the Arab chief diplomats to closely follow up the decision, adding that the charges should include the Israeli crimes committed during the holocaust in the Gaza Strip in December 2008 and January 2009.
He asked them to pursue those cases before international and local courts that permit such cases, and implored them to pass new laws that would allow the trial of Israeli war criminals in Arab and Islamic countries.
The minister described the decision as a "step in the right direction", adding that it needs to be expanded to include all Israeli past and previous crimes and massacres committed against people, holy shrines, flora and fauna in Palestine.
Ghoul said that his government was ready to provide all available documents that incriminate the Israeli war criminals.
