Sayyed Nasrallah: 'Fake Kidnapping' Aimed at Causing Sedition
Almanar
04/02/2010 Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah warned on Thursday that there were different sides seeking to cause sedition in Lebanon and the region, pointing to the 'fake kidnapping' incident that was witnessed in Lebanon last week and that could have caused a catastrophe in the country.
His eminence denounced the bombings that targeted visitors in Iraq and called on the nation to have a firm stance towards them, condemning the fact that such acts became something "usual."
Sayyed Nasrallah was speaking through a TV screen while marking the Arba'een (memorial) of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during the ceremony held by Hezbollah at the Sayyed As-Shouhadaa' complex in Beirut's southern suburb.
Hezbollah Secretary General started his speech by raising the issue of catastrophe faced by human being throughout their lives and the ways to deal with them. His eminence differentiated between two kinds of catastrophes: the ones caused by the human being himself such as crimes and injustice as well as wars and hegemony but also the ones caused by the nature such as earthquakes, volcanoes and floods.
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that people differ in the ways to deal with their catastrophes whether these forms took the form of a war, a quake, an economic crisis, a social tragedy or anything else. His eminence noted that some people, for instance, choose to escape from the catastrophe by resorting to drugs, intoxication, crimes as a reaction or even suicide in the worst scenario. Sayyed Nasrallah said that others find themselves frustrated which has bad influences on their social lives while some people, unfortunately, become unbelievers.
His eminence said that the prophets have provided the humanity with the best examples to face catastrophes with belief and patience: Whoever faces his catastrophe with patience is similar to the Mujahideen who fight for the sake of God. Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the whole life is not eternal and therefore, any catastrophe in it is a part of a non-eternal thing. "Nothing will remain for ever. Even more, the catastrophe happened. What would change regardless of our reaction to the catastrophe? In fact, what has gone is gone."
Turning to the current situation, Sayyed Nasrallah pointed to the catastrophes human beings in the region are facing nowadays. "The worst catastrophe is the cancer called Israel, which is directing the Greater Satan to our country, peoples, resources, governments, media and schools as well as imposing wars and social disasters that we should be ready for," his eminence pointed out. "That's why we should be fortified by such principles and by the Islamic culture to face all catastrophes and challenges."
Sayyed Nasrallah said that following the July 2006 war, many poll institutions have sent envoys to Lebanon to conduct studies and examine the psychological situation of residents of South Lebanon, especially those who have lost beloved one or those whose homes were destroyed by Israel. "I have seen some of the results of the studies. Some were shocked by the outcome after finding out that the majority of those who were targeted during the war did not show the expected psychological effects of war," his eminence said, adding that one common answer was that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and all the prophets were the best example to learn from.
Hezbollah Secretary General tackled, during his speech, the suicide bombing that targeted Imam Hussein's visitors in Karbala during the last 48 hours. "In a yearly basis, large numbers of visitors are martyred due to the explosions in Iraq when pilgrims visit Karbala, despite the tight security measures," his eminence noted. "This indicates that there are some Takfiri sides who insist on their methods, and this is one of the biggest catastrophes facing the nation," his eminence went on to say.
"Of course we cannot exonerate Israel and the US from responsibility for the explosions," Sayyed Nasrallah said, adding that these Takfiri sides are offering the Americans and the Israelis and all the enemies of the nation the best service they wouldn't have thought of."
While deducing that some sides haven't lost hope of the sedition scheme in the region, Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that these Takfiri sides are not only targeting the Shia, but are also targeting Sunni mosques and religious figures. "They want to cause sedition among Sunni and Shiaa but also among Shiaa or Sunni themselves. What happened these two days proves that these sides have no problem with killing thousands of people just to achieve their goal and scheme, which is really bad."
According to Sayyed Nasrallah, these Takfiri sides are serving the enemy of the nation and endangering it. Remaining quiet is not acceptable, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed, calling on everyone to work to isolate these sides and prevent them from achieving their goal of sowing sedition.
The Lebanese situation was also tackled by Sayyed Nasrallah out of an "incident" that some think isn't important but, in truth, is "very very very very very very" dangerous according to his eminence. "All Lebanese should know that God has saved them from a major catastrophe that was prepared for them," Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out.
His eminence was referring to the story of Majdel Anjar Imam Sheikh Mohammed Abdel Fatah al-Majzoub who masterminded his own kidnapping last week to create sedition in Lebanon.
"Sheikh Majzoub's incident could have caused a catastrophe in this country," Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed. "The scheme aimed at inflating the state of condemnation until it reaches civil disobedience, then Sheikh Majzoub gets his hair shaved and body marked with torture signs before holding a press conference," his eminence explained, while recalling of the dangerous reactions that followed the "fake kidnapping" incident and the immediate accusations that were launched by some groups. "Why did this incident occur while the situation is calm in Lebanon and while Israel is threatening the country? Whose interest does this serve?" Sayyed Nasrallah wondered.
Hezbollah Secretary General saluted in this context the stance taken by the Future Movement over the issue, saying that the movement's leadership has handled the issue with responsibility and calm. His eminence also thanked the security forces for following up the issue and revealing the truth to the Lebanese, preventing therefore sedition.
Sayyed Nasrallah called on all Lebanese, from all sects, Muslims and Christians, to remain careful in order to face all attempts to create sedition between compatriots. According to his eminence, Sayyed Nasrallah are working day and night to impose a sectarian conflict in Lebanon. "These sides may resort to very dangerous tools to achieve their goal," his eminence warned. "That's why we should remain attentive and vigilant," his eminence said, noting at the same time that whoever seeks to create sedition in Lebanon is Israeli, whether he knows it or not.
Sayyed Nasrallah concluded his speech by calling on all Muslims to visit Imam Hussein (pbuh) on Friday to mark his Araba'een memorial and note that he hasn't raised the Israeli threats in his speech because he would tackle them in another speech his eminence would deliver in the few coming days to commemorate the Resistance's dear martyrs, pointing, however, to the "very important development" that took place in the last few hours, in an apparent reference to the Syrian firm stance towards the threats.
