- Media outlets reported the killing of an illegal Israeli settler in the West Bank city of Nablus today morning. The victim was an illegal settler who lives in the occupied cities and towns of the West Bank. He and others stormed the city for praying armed with guns!Victim Ben-Joseph Livnat, a 25-year-old resident of the Elon Moreh settlement, entered Palestinian towns without any permission dazzling Palestinian security in the area. Normally, Israeli settlers visit the holy Palestinian site of Joseph's Tomb near the West Bank city of Nablus. The visits come with permission of Israeli and Palestinian sides but neither of them have permitted the victim and those accompanying him.
Shockingly, Aljazeera English adopted the account of Israeli media which considered the settler as an Israeli civilian or a Jewish civilian.

Editor of the news piece seems to lack the very basics of editorial experience. He entirely depended on the Israeli account through the military spokesperson. He accepted the facts that settlers are civilians and ignored that nature of those so-called civilians.
Aljazeera English reported that, "The Israeli military is investigating the killing of one Israeli civilian and the injuring of two others near Joseph's Tomb, a Jewish holy site inside the Palestinian city of Nablus, a spokesperson told Al Jazeera."
Later on, the news was amended by writing new lead stating, "A Palestinian policeman opened fire at a group of Israelis who had come to pray at a Jewish holy site in the West Bank without authorisation, killing one and wounding four, the Israeli military told Al Jazeera."
It continues that, "four Israeli civilians were shot at after they entered Nablus, in the West Bank, without authorisation, early on Sunday morning, the military spokesperson said."
It ignores facts by considering armed Israeli settlers as "Jewish worshippers" by saying, "Jewish worshippers often enter the city with a military escort to pray at the tomb of the biblical patriarch, located inside a Palestinian-ruled area." Sadly, this quote is circulated through Associated Press (AP) and nothing is creative for Al Jazeera.
Normal worshippers are civilians who seeks praying or pilgrimage anywhere in the world. Yet, those who stormed that place are armed settlers making it clear that they are not civilians that time!
Indeed, Al Jazeera English is another fox news. It entirely relies on 2 main sources of news. The first, Israeli media outlets and second is International Press Agency like AFP, AP and others. This puts Aljazeera's professionalism on the edge as it fail to report from the ground.
Most of the details written on that news are from AP, AFP and Israeli media. Googling the news and reading it on various website you will come to know that fact. Simple facts were ignored and not mentioned in the report. For example, there are more than half a million settlers in the west Bank. Most of them are armed making it very hard to consider them as civilians. It is great bizarre to ignore this fact and say civilian!
Indeed, Media is playing a very dangerous role in Arab-Israeli conflict. It started as colonial, then settler and now civilian!
