WASHINGTON, (PIC)-- Jewish organizations in the United States have called on Congress to continue funding the Palestinian Authority in order to aid the security forces in suppressing the resistance movement in the West Bank.
Pro-Israeli organizations the Israeli Project and J Street urged the U.S. not to follow through with threats to cut funds regardless of whether or not the Palestinians go ahead in requesting statehood recognition at the United Nations.
The groups asserted that U.S. funding was “vital” to enabling the PA security forces to combat “terrorism”.
