The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is supposed to be a publically owned multi-media company – but in reality most of its top management and decision-making positions are held by pro-Israel Jews.
Boston-based pro-Israeli media lobby, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) has claimed in its recent report that BBC flagship show Hardtalk is running a smear campaign against Israel and Jews. Andrea Levin, a pro-Israel Zionist Jew, is the executive director and president of CAMERA. In 2002, Jewish daily Forward named her America’s fifth most influential Jewish citizen.
The Israel Hasbara liars at CAMERA are mad like dog for Hardtalk anchor Sarah Montague interviewing American Jewish academic, Dr. Norman Finkelstein on BBC which was aired on May 8, 2012. Watch a video below.
Responding to Sarah Montague’s question: “Are American Jews drifting away from Israel?” – Dr. Finkelstein said that Israel’s current knee-jerk policies are turning young American away from Israel. His views are shared by many Israeli supporters. For example, New York Times columnist and Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman when writing about Peter Beinart’s book “The Crisis on Zionism” said:
“Like many liberal American Jews I basically avoid thinking about where Israel is going. It seems obvious from here that the narrow-minded policies of the current government are basically a gradual, long-run form of national suicide – and that’s bad for Jews everywhere, not to mention the world.”
“Israel is carrying on in a lunatic fashion. I would like to ask you. Name me another country in the world. 2003 Israel was the cheerleaders for the war in Iraq. 2006 it went into war in Lebanon. 2008/2009 it attacked Gaza. Now it talks about attacking Iran. If you read the Israeli papers every day they talk about – should we attack Gaza? Should we attack Lebanon? Should we attack Syria. Name me another country in the world that falls into that category. It’s a lunatic state,” Finkelstein said on Hardtalk.
Dr. Finkelstein, who is despised by the Jewish lobby groups for his criticism of the Zionist regime, favors the treacherous two-state solution for the Jewish occupied Palestine and has called the BDS movement, “a cult”.
Sarah Montague, a Zionist herself, too, tried her best to make fun of Dr. Finkestein’s views on the immense power of Israel lobby groups and Washington’s pro-Israel policies in the Muslim East.
“American Presidents have long been criticized for being too in thrall to the Jewish lobby. The American Jews influence US foreign policy and that explains Washington’s unwavering support for Israel,” Finkelstein told Sarah.

“This vicious diatribe is the typical knee-jerk reflex of a card carrying tribesman resorting to the “anti-semitism” canard. That the “Jewish Lobby” is a poor signifier is true (informed and serious people use either the term Israel Lobby or Zionist Lobby). And, yes, they do control American (and British, French, Canadian, Australian, etc., foreign policy vis-a-vis the Middle East. It is so obvious that one has to be totally delusional to deny it.”
